Help with my Verizon FiOS issue

Get help in installing the new battery and connecting the disconnected something. ... Ticket MDDQ*Q*B*D. The alarm on my BPU went off. I was unable to turn it off completely and called Verizon customer service. I was told by Verizon that a new box would be installed. When the technician arrived and asked me what the problem was (while carrying the new box) he said I didn't need a new unit and that he could just disconnect the battery. When I later called him about not have backup for the landline if power went out, he then told me to get a new battery and call him to install it. He did not return my voice messages or text messages. I then called Verizon and was told a technician would be out the next day to fix it. The next day (Wednesday) a supervisor called me to advise me that I would be charged for the visit to "intall a battery". He was unaware of any of the history or even that I had the older unit that required a * pound brick battery. After trying to explain, he agreed to come the tomorrow (Thursday).
That I will not be charged for the pending visit because I cannot complete the repair without the technical help of a Verizon technician.
A technician to come for free to install the battery and connect what was disconnected by the original technician.
Have been with Verizon when it was called Bell Systems--over ** years
I tried everything before I called Verizon originally.
