Use the service I pay $**.** a month for. ... First, there was a connection and no internet. I had to disconnect and reconnect several times a day to get the internet back. Then everything slowed to a crawl. Can't load web pages, can't use Zoom for teaching, can't watch Netflix. After well over ** minutes, two technicians determined the problem was my router. They sent a new one. I installed it today and nothing has changed. This happened years ago and it turned out that the problem originated at the Verizon end of things, not the customer's end. I wonder if the same thing has happened again. So, Spectrum is coming tomorrow and I'll be saying "buh-bye" to Verizon as my ISP.
There is clearly a problem unrelated to my equipment, since the router is now brand new. As I said, I've encountered this before with Verizon. I'm convinced this is a problem with the Verizon network. A reliable an fast internet connection is especially important to me right now because I am working from home.
There's really no way to make it right. I've already wasted far too much time trying to resolve this. I ought to have called Spectrum straight away instead of monkeying around with Verizon.
I've been a DSL customer for ** years and a phone customer for over **. I will still keep Verizon as the carrier for my land line.
Yes, I'm going to try using a different ISP.
