I created an account some time ago with the wrong non-mobile phone number. I'd like to link this account, which uses the email [redacted], to my other Venmo account, but I can't because the email is already being used. I am unable to login to this account to check if it is connected to my bank account or has received any funds. If there are funds, I need to withdraw them. If not, I would like to delete the account. Please advise on how to proceed to access this account. Thanks, Blake.

I created my Venmo account in November [redacted] while abroad in Rwanda, using my old American phone number and my email [redacted] I also linked it to my Facebook account and set up my bank account with Venmo. My name on Venmo was tai-trinh-1, and I did all of this on my old LG G4 phone. When I returned to the States with a new phone, the S9, and new number, I received a payment notification to my old number. Upon logging in with my email [redacted], I found a new profile with the name "nhat tai trinh" but not linked to Facebook or my bank account. It seems like the money went to the new profile instead of my original one.

I set up a Venmo account a while ago but rarely used it. Recently, someone sent me a payment on Venmo, mistakenly, as I usually use a different method. Even though my name appeared on their end, I couldn't log in to my account since I had saved the login details in my iPhone passwords and the system didn't accept it. After trying the "forgot your password" link for a reset, I received no emails or texts despite no error messages. It seems like my account is active from the sender's side, but I can't access it. I need to reset the password to regain access or reverse the payment. Thank you.

After experiencing a stroke and a prolonged hospital stay, I have been discharged but am facing difficulty accessing my account due to forgetting the associated email address. The only information I can recall is my username, @Jessica-Potts-16, and my recovery email, which belongs to my boyfriend DeAngelo Stansberry at [redacted] He also has a Venmo account under @DeAngelo-Stansberry-[redacted]. My stepmother sent me $60.00, but I am unable to retrieve it as I can't remember the necessary details. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you.

There has been fraudulent activity on my bank account ending in [redacted]. I recently used this app for the first time and will not be using it again due to this incident. Someone withdrew amounts totaling $[redacted] ($[redacted] and $[redacted]) without my authorization. I quickly reported this to my bank and filed a claim as there were suspicious transactions within a very short timeframe. As a single parent, I urgently need these funds back, especially since I only intended to send $25 to Bkelly_Not, not $[redacted]. I have critical bills scheduled to be deducted from my account soon. I am named Latanya and my username was OneOfAKind. Please deactivate my account and ensure my money is refunded. I have unlinked my bank account but am worried about pending bills. Your prompt attention and assistance are greatly appreciated.

I recently opened an account with login credentials on either Thursday or Friday. I have the username and password but when attempting to log in, it requests a code be sent to an unknown email address that was likely a mistake on my part. The payment method used was linked to my brother's account, and I can provide his contact number associated with it for verification. I managed to reset my password yesterday via a text message link since I had forgotten it. The previous representative I was corresponding with mentioned that the email address on file did not match any expected names, then abruptly ceased communication.

I recently got a new Venmo card, and it was working fine for weekend transfers until it suddenly stopped allowing me to make transfers. When I tried using it at a MoneyPass ATM for $[redacted] and then $80, it was declined both times. I am unsure why this security issue is happening, and I am puzzled by the error message "disabled card" next to the debit card option on the ATM. The only linked card to my account is a debit card, which it doesn't seem to recognize. I am concerned as I need to access my funds. It's frustrating as Venmo has always had good service, but now this issue is causing me inconvenience. I hope to resolve this soon as I have obligations to send money to others, including a Venmo member tomorrow.

I had intended to purchase $20 worth of gas, but the pump only gave me $0.06 worth and then canceled the transaction. Despite attempting a second time, I was unable to get gas at the Shell station. I noticed in my Venmo app that it shows both transactions, one for $0.06 and another for $50. However, my email confirmation only displays the $50 transaction and not the one for $0.06, which is quite perplexing. The incident occurred on May 25 at 5:32 a.m. in Depoe Bay, Oregon. In Oregon, most gas stations are closed during early mornings and late nights, but certain ones allow self-service without an attendant present. I remain puzzled by this situation and would appreciate any insight or assistance.

I'm a Venmo customer facing difficulties signing in. After entering my email and password, I am prompted to verify my account with a code sent to an old phone number that's no longer in use. I have a different phone number to update, but I am unable to proceed beyond this verification page. I tried an alternative verification method, but it redirects me to verify my outdated Citibank debit card associated with the account, which I no longer have information for. I have $[redacted] in my account that I need to transfer, but I'm unable to access it due to these hurdles. The Help Center hasn't been able to assist me effectively, leaving me feeling stuck. I need a solution to access my funds without being hindered by outdated account details and phone numbers. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

My iPhone was stolen, and the individual who took it changed my account information to their own fake phone number and card details. I recently received an important payment from Matthew Martone, who sent it to my previous Venmo account linked to my old email. My current account is under the name Anjelia-Pelay, but I am unable to access it to retrieve my funds or transfer them to my new account or back to the sender. I have always used [redacted] as my phone number, and my last card linked to Venmo was from my old Chase bank account. Unfortunately, when attempting to reset my password, the verification code is sent to the thief's phone number, and the card details have been changed. I urgently need assistance to access my funds. I am battling cancer and lupus, and the $[redacted] in my original account is crucial. Please help me regain access to my account or transfer the funds. If the old account cannot be closed, I need all the login details reset to prevent the thief from using my funds. Thank you for your attention.

Hello, I am in a difficult situation that needs urgent attention as it affects my ability to pay rent. My husband and I have Venmo accounts that have been frozen unexpectedly. We have used these accounts regularly and were surprised to find ourselves locked out of accessing our Venmo balances. Details: Name: Pesamino Lafo (Tusi) Email: [redacted] Linked to: Commonwealth Credit Union Account Venmo balance: $[redacted] Name: Tusila Lafo Email: [redacted] Linked to: Discover Card Venmo balance: $[redacted] Although I submitted my identification as requested via email, my accounts remain frozen. I have contacted Venmo multiple times through calls and online chats, emphasizing the urgency of my situation. The responses I have received so far have been vague, with no clear explanation for the freeze. I even suggested transferring the funds to a friend’s Venmo account to access them promptly, but no solution was provided. I was informed that I should expect an email response within 3-5 days, which is unacceptable given the circumstances. My frustration grows as the lack of information or assistance prolongs this issue, causing significant stress as my family relies on these funds. Any help in resolving this matter promptly would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, T.L. [redacted]

I recently noticed a $50 charge for adding funds deducted from my bank account that has left me a bit puzzled. I had only added $50 to my card and transferred $50 into my bank account with a venmo balance of $[redacted]. Initially, I expected the venmo balance to be $30 after transferring, but with a pending transfer, I was left with $80 in venmo and $50 in my bank account. Yesterday's expenditures left me with $25.50 in my bank account. Subsequently, the $50 charge today has placed my account at -$24.50. Surprisingly, my venmo balance of $80 wasn't used for the charge, leaving me with a total of $66.23 in my combined card and venmo balance after a recent purchase. Ideally, my bank account and venmo should total $91, but I currently stand at $66.23 with a negative bank account. It appears a $50 reimbursement might balance things out to $25.50. I recognize this may sound convoluted, and I'm willing to provide screenshots to clarify the situation if needed.

I recently downloaded the Venmo app on my new phone and tried to log in to my existing account. However, I encountered an issue where I couldn't proceed without adding my phone number for verification. Despite entering my phone number, I kept receiving an error message stating that the number was already in the system. This is causing me to be unable to access my account or create a new one. I'm perplexed because the phone number belongs to me. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I recently installed Venmo, but didn't use it much. After a trip, I had to do a factory reset on my phone. Sometime after that, I uninstalled Venmo due to lack of need. Now, people want to pay me via Venmo, so I tried reinstalling it. I signed in with Facebook but need to verify my phone number. However, the app doesn't accept my long-standing phone number. Whenever I try, a message pops up saying there's a problem, and I can only dismiss it. I'm stuck as the app remembers my password but not the phone number. I have money waiting to transfer, but I can't access Venmo. What should I do?

I recently experienced an issue with a declined payment. Even though I had sufficient funds in my account, multiple payments were unexpectedly declined. After several attempts, some transactions went through, while one was refunded. When I contacted customer service, I was met with a scripted response indicating no visible problems. Requesting to speak with a supervisor was denied. I'm frustrated and seeking assistance elsewhere due to the lack of clarity on what caused these payment challenges.

I needed help setting up my account from my Aunt Della. She has full access to it and other accounts I have, as I don't usually handle these matters. The issue we're facing is not being able to access my account now. Initially, we set it up on her phone, using my phone number [redacted] for verification. The username created is CandaceFagan10, but we can't recall the last two digits. My aunt's phone number is [redacted], which is being used to assist me due to my children needing attention. We need urgent professional assistance to email me my username at [redacted], reset my password, and help transfer $20 from my VENMO account. Please contact me at [redacted] or my aunt Della at [redacted]. Urgency is crucial as the transfer should have been done yesterday. Your swift resolution is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Candace Fagan.

I need to report a fraudulent activity involving a con artist on Venmo who is targeting independent musicians and artists. This person, operating under the name Matt Halverson of "Parachute PDX," claimed to provide services such as shopping for record labels, press, TV, and movie spots, but everything is a scam. He has scammed numerous individuals, amassing over $[redacted],[redacted] using deceptive techniques. I am a victim who lost $[redacted] to him. I have evidence of his fraudulent behavior and would like to request a chargeback on my payment. This con artist engages with victims, takes payments, then disappears, making it hard to dispute the transactions within the bank's time frame. I urge others affected to come forward, and I am working with the community to expose and stop his scams. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, Brent Joel B.

My granddaughter helped me set up Venmo on my phone, which included her account and my daughter's account. Initially, we tested a $1.00 transfer, which went smoothly with a notification showing when I would receive it, and it appeared in my checking account. Later, my daughter sent me $[redacted].00, again with a notification, and it was successful. However, when I sent $10.00 back, I had to verify my account with small amounts taken earlier for verification. After this, I had no issues sending the $10.00. Recently, my daughter sent me $1.00, $[redacted].00, and $[redacted].00, but they did not show a notification about when I would receive them, and none of the amounts arrived in my checking account. It's been 2 days since the first $[redacted].00 and the $1.00. The other $[redacted].00 only appeared in Venmo once I opened the app, but the notifications are missing. What steps should I take now?

Case ID: [redacted] I am reaching out to Venmo regarding a payment I made to @Shanti-One on June 18th, [redacted], at 1:54 PM for the amount of $2,[redacted]. The account owner, Martin Maldonado, has been communicating with Venmo to unfreeze the account and gain access. Venmo mentioned that if the sender of the payment contacts them, the case can be re-evaluated for unfreezing. As the sender, I want to confirm that I authorized this transaction and there was no intent to violate any policies. Having conducted transactions previously without issues, encountering this problem with Venmo has been challenging for both parties. We are eager for a prompt resolution to unfreeze the $1,[redacted] in Martin Maldonado's account (@Shanti-One). Thank you and have a wonderful day. - Mohamed Elchorbagy
