To recover your account, use your email address to reset your password but be sure you have the spelling correct. The best thing you can do is try to reset the password by clicking "Forgot Password" under the login then follow the prompt. You should have the option to reset with your phone number.

I no longer have access to the email I was previously using on my account. When I enter my phone number and my password it still needs my email to authorize the log in.
GetHuman1020871 did not yet indicate what Venmo should do to make this right.
