Accept payments for cheer uniforms via Venmo so we can pay an invoice. ... I am trying to START receiving payments via Venmo. Everyone that tries to send money into our account receives a message saying they can’t pay and to contact the owner of the account. I just now tried to send a payment request and received an error message saying the account has been frozen. We haven’t even used it and REALLY need an online way to accept credit card payments immediately. Had I known this was going to be so difficult I would have used a different option.
This is very frustrating bc we have an invoice to pay, it’s summer time and most ppl are on vacation.
I would like my account to be unfrozen. I don’t understand why an account would ever get froze for trying to ACCEPT money! I didn’t ever try to pay ANYTHING with this account, ever.
I’ve used Venmo to pay other people for years. This is the first time that I have tried to use Venmo with a separate account set up for a non-profit in order to receive money.
I’ve taken all of the steps that have been presented to me. Unfortunately, it seems that Venmo is ALWAYS closed. When you are dealing with access to people’s money I don’t think you should ever be closed. You are running a business that expects ** hour service. Don’t freeze accounts from being able to accept money OR withdrawal funds if you cannot be called on ** hours a day, * days a week in order to validate your process or right it.
