I ordered five $[redacted] Vanilla Mastercard gift cards online from Walmart.com. Upon receiving them, there was a note instructing me to activate them. After clicking the activation link provided in an email from Walmart, I was informed it could take up to 6 hours to activate. Unfortunately, even after 24 hours, the card did not work at any store, and when checking the card number on vanillagift.com, it was marked as invalid. Contacting the Vanilla Mastercard customer service number provided the same result; my card number was invalid. Another number on vanillagift.com said the card had expired with a balance of $0. I am seeking assistance to either activate the cards with the correct balance or receive a refund for the $[redacted] on each card.

I am concerned about unauthorized transactions on my card. Yesterday evening (07/14/[redacted]) I loaded $[redacted] onto my card for a kayak rental tomorrow (07/15/[redacted]). After checking my balance, which initially showed $[redacted], I noticed it had decreased to $80-something without making any purchases. When I attempt transactions online, I receive messages stating "invalid card number." Despite repeated attempts, the issue persists, and I cannot reach customer service for assistance as the automated system disconnects my calls. The situation has led me to doubt the integrity of this company. I kindly ask for a prompt resolution before considering reporting this matter.

I recently purchased a Vanilla Visa Prepaid card with a balance of $35 to buy a $30 game and add $5 to an eWallet. I spent $25 on Steam and tried to add $5 to my Blizzard account. I left extra to cover a $1 insurance fee, expecting it to be refunded after my purchase, but it hasn't been returned, leaving my account short $5. Blizzard claims it's the bank withholding the $1. I need this resolved quickly to load the remaining $30 onto my Steam account.

I initially loaded $60 onto the card to pay my phone bill. After activating it online when I got home, I tried to use it, but the payment didn't go through due to unauthorized charges. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue on my own, contacting your company led to confusion as the card needed in-store activation, not online activation as advised by your representative. Frustrated by the situation, I now find the card showing a zero balance, except for a small portion spent at the store. I'm seeking assistance to rectify this matter promptly, aiming to recover the remaining balance of $45 to $50 eaten up by declined charges. I kindly request to escalate this to a manager or the company owner for resolution. Your prompt attention to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I contacted your customer service and my card was deactivated because the person who assisted me said I provided incorrect information. Now my card is deactivated, and I need it activated as soon as possible. I have been using your services for a year depositing money to make purchases with the card. I use PayPal and shop on eBay. They are going to refund me $24.99, and I called to check if it had been refunded yet, but my card got deactivated. Please help me promptly. Please send me your email so I can provide my ID and SSN for verification. They deactivated my card without reason.

I added $[redacted] in cash to my Vanilla Visa card at a local Walgreens, but the money was not credited to my account. Customer service advised me to seek a refund from Walgreens, but I have faced challenges. I opened a ticket and provided all necessary documents, including my identification, Vanilla card details, and receipts to ensure I get my hard-earned money back promptly. I trust the company and expect the funds to be reloaded onto my card without delay. I strongly prefer the $[redacted] to be deposited directly back onto my Permanent Vanilla Visa instead of waiting for a check.

I tried to rent a U-Haul truck in Columbus, Ohio on 10/02/[redacted]. I purchased a MyVanilla card and loaded $[redacted] onto it. However, the card was declined when I tried to use it in-store, online, and over the phone. Upon contacting MyVanilla customer service, I was informed there was only $17.97 on the card due to a $[redacted].03 pre-authorization charge from U-Haul. Despite conflicting information from the U-Haul store and my bank, I was unable to rent the truck. This situation led to my family driving a total of 10 hours to assist me, hindering my original plans and forcing me to use the funds I set aside for the U-Haul on other expenses. All I am seeking is a refund of my money.

Hello, I've used Vanilla gift cards before and had a positive experience. However, yesterday I bought two cards for myself and encountered issues activating them. One is a regular gift card and the other is a Visa prepaid card that should not require activation. I'm having trouble with both. The gift card has an expiration date that has been activated, but the balance is showing as $[redacted] instead of the $[redacted] I loaded onto it. I also added $[redacted] to the prepaid Visa, but it seems like it hasn't been activated properly. I haven't made any transactions yet. I'm feeling confused and would really appreciate some assistance with this matter. I have used these cards successfully in the past and I hope to resolve this smoothly.

I purchased a Vanilla Visa gift card because I do not have a bank account to use for online purchases. Upon buying it, I discovered that it can only be used once and there is a $7 fee to obtain one. Customer service directed me to the MyVanillaCard website to get a reloadable card. Unfortunately, I do not recall the exact date I submitted the online form, so I am unsure if the 10 business days have passed. I am eager to know when I can expect to receive my card. I also came across the option to customize a card with a picture of my choice. However, when I requested my card, I did not see this feature. I am curious about how this customization process works, the associated costs, where to access it, the frequency of changing the picture, and other customization options available. Thank you for your assistance. I value your help and am looking forward to your response. Sincerely, A.S.

I purchased a MyVanilla Visa card from Walmart, loaded it with cash, and unfortunately lost it. I contacted customer service to request a replacement with my name on it. It's been over two months, and I haven't received the new card. I've spoken to customer service twice but still haven't received my personalized card. I urgently need access to my funds and would appreciate your prompt assistance. My name is Larry Purdy, and you can contact me at [redacted] via call or text. Your help in resolving this matter promptly would be greatly appreciated as I've been without access to my funds for an extended period.

I am with the UK Military and was stationed at a US Military facility. I was recommended to get one of these cards to use at the PX since we are paid in British Pounds and can't have a US Bank Account. I used the card twice for small purchases, then it suddenly stopped working. Upon checking, I noticed a $[redacted] charge that I didn't authorize for basic items like toiletries. I am now in the UK and request a refund to my UK Account or in Amazon vouchers. Thank you.

I recently made a purchase on Amazon for an Uber Eats gift card but mistakenly bought an Uber gift card instead. I contacted Amazon support, canceled the purchase, and was informed that I will receive a refund. However, I am frustrated because I need to make another purchase now, but I won't get my money back for 7 business days. It seems unreasonable to have to wait that long for a refund when purchases can be processed immediately. I just want my money back promptly so I can make the correct purchase.

Yesterday, I encountered multiple fees on my account, including international, insufficient funds, withdrawal, and reloading fees. Additionally, my wife accumulated more charges. I recently spoke with a customer representative who provided inaccurate information about the fees and their reasons. I withdrew $20 from an ATM today and was charged another $20. The misinformation I received earlier is concerning as it may lead to customers being misled. As per the cardholder agreement, I should be reimbursed for any incorrect charges. At the very least, the erroneous fees should be refunded promptly. The previous representative I spoke to not only lied but also became agitated, speaking rudely to me and even my elderly mother. The situation escalated to inappropriate comments being made.

I recently purchased a vanilla Visa gift card and used it for an $11 purchase, leaving a $39 balance on the $50 card. Upon returning to the store, I was informed that my card had insufficient funds. After checking my transaction history, I noticed a $38 unauthorized charge made 30 minutes after I received the card. I contacted customer service, who advised me to wait 90 days to potentially recoup the funds. Visa mentioned they support gift cards but don't specifically handle them. Despite $38 not being a large amount, as a father of five battling cancer and facing work loss, it is significant to me. For further assistance, please contact me via email at [redacted] I appreciate any help in resolving this issue, but when I attempt to check the card, it indicates an error preventing me from accessing any online information. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

After waiting 30 minutes to make an online purchase, the transaction was declined. I realized I needed to wait 24 hours, so I tried again the next day, but it was still declined. I attempted to contact customer service multiple times, waiting one hour and trying four different numbers, only to be put on hold. Despite following the troubleshooting steps, including assigning a new zipcode, I still couldn't complete the transaction. Frustrated and exhausted, I am now seeking a refund. If my request is not addressed promptly, I will involve legal action.

I bought a vanilla gift card for $50 for my usual online premium payment of $47.76, leaving $2.24. Later, I was surprised to find out it was declined with a balance of $44.70. The card was deactivated and required reactivation at the place of purchase. Despite providing proof of purchase, they couldn't reactivate it. I contacted the vanilla gift card customer service who gave me a case number. They were supposed to email a dispute form, but I haven't received it, delaying my refund process. This has happened before, and I'm determined to get my $44.70 back this time.

I bought a $[redacted].00 prepaid card from 7-11 in Hampton, VA to pay overdue utilities and car insurance while my credit union was closed for the holiday. Upon attempting to register the card online, unauthorized purchases were made, just minutes apart as I was paying bills. I spoke with customer service (Maria) and provided my information. I am feeling overwhelmed trying to have the charges canceled and the card deactivated to return it to the store for a refund. I have bills to pay and this situation is causing me stress. Waiting 45-90 days for a refund is not acceptable to me. I trusted this card to be safe, but it has proved otherwise. I am in a tough financial situation, and this ordeal is adding to my worries. I am considering reaching out to the local TV station for assistance promptly. - Sherry M.

I mistakenly rented a movie online using my Vanilla card, but promptly canceled the order. It assured me that I would receive a refund in about four business days. Surprisingly, upon checking my Vanilla account, which I hadn't accessed in over a year, I discovered unauthorized transactions made in the past few days. Last Friday (3/08), I loaded $[redacted] onto the card, and apart from that and today's accidental rental, no other purchases were made. Approximately $15 has been deducted from my card recently. Despite attempting to reach out via phone without success, I'm eager to resolve this issue as my account number is [redacted][redacted]. I kindly request your prompt assistance in addressing these unauthorized charges. Thank you.

I bought a 10,[redacted] yen Visa prepaid Vanilla gift card in Japan. I attempted ten times to enter the card tracking ID but encountered issues. The card number has 16 digits, starting with [redacted], however, the form only allows for 12 digits. I tried the first and last 12 numbers without success. After inputting the ID and CVV2 code, I was prompted to enter a series of characters but upon clicking for the next page, it brought me back to the top to re-enter the tracking ID. Despite the page being in Japanese, I have a translation available. This experience is frustrating, and I'm unsure why it's happening.

I am experiencing issues with my MyVanilla cards. I have one card with the name Sandra Evelyn Joseph and another where I may have just used Sandra Joseph without the full name. This has led to my account being frozen, holding onto my funds. I find it unfair as I am familiar with all the security details. They never prompted me to recall my initial load amounts, and without this information, I am being denied access to my account. Despite knowing all the security questions and answers, I am facing unnecessary hurdles. The restriction on the number of cards allowed was mentioned, but I have around 15 cards. It seems like they are searching for reasons to retain my money, although my identity is clear. I am eager for a resolution to regain control of my card.
