We were evicted yesterday.*Our landlord told us that it was because our dog’s weight invalidated our contract. **But when I booked the property last year, on March *, ****, I described my dog—including her weight. **When we were hastily packing up our car, several people from neighboring units came out to tell us how sorry they were to see us go, and that Tom was known to be difficult, even somewhat volatile.**We have the trip cancellation insurance. We talked to Tom two days ago about leaving early because of the Corona virus. **(We had arranged to stay a third week, until March **th, paying him cash, not to VRBO.)*We gave him $*** in cash* no receipt given. Now he’s saying we owe another $****. We have lost $**** so far. **What can we do?***On Mar **, ****, at *:** AM, TOM SELLIT ******@***.com* wrote:****Dear Anne and Wal,* Upon reviewing the Rental Agreement you accepted thru Vrbo and per this email, we find you are out of compliance in two areas. ** - The Vrbo Rental Agreement allows for one non-shedding breed of dog under ** pounds. Violation of this provision allows for immediate termination of your occupancy with no refund and forfeiture of any security deposit. ** - Your payment of $*,***.** has not been paid and is past due.**You are hear-by formally requested to immediately make payment in full and vacate the premises.
