I have spent the better part of this afternoon trying to change the dates in a reservation that I made yesterday. After making this reservation, I was unable to get the flights that I had seen earlier. However, the flights were available one day earlier. I have spoken with VRBO employee about requesting this change - which the property owner told me, via several back and forth messages, that I needed to do as she could not change the reservation without a request from yourselves. The owner has now agreed to the date change but says that you need to change the date on the reservation HA-QNNJ*K. *The original dates booked yesterday were *******-*******. The owner has agreed to the change of *******-*******. I am requesting that you please change the dates on my reservation. Thank you. *Sharon Windebank

Within ** hours of making a reservation, I needed to change the dates - to one day earlier at each end - due to a problem getting the flights that I had, hours earlier, seen. *The owner was telling me that I needed to resolve this on the VRBO*Home Away site* two calls to VRBO and multiple messages to VRBO and the property owner later, I’m assured that the property owner needed to access the calendar to change the dates! Not me. This has taken hours of my time - to simply change the date of a newly made reservation!*In future, I will attempt to make bookings privately - thereby avoiding such confusion* over such a small issue* the added fee* and having to pay **% of the cost, over * months before making the trip. Lesson learned.....*Regarding your comment “you did not yet indicate what VRBO should do”: I wrote “you need to change the date on the reservation”. This is what the property owner had told me. Your job should have been to educate property owner, so that they know the correct procedure to follow when a customer makes such a request. And then inform me (the customer) that you have contacted the owner, with appropriate instructions.
