I am in need of a crown, core, and post, as well as the removal of excess gum tissue. I am unsure if United Concordia will cover any of these procedures, as I have learned that periodontists may not accept insurance upfront. I have been informed by other dentists that this could be referred to as crown elongation due to the high cost involved. I have been unsuccessful in reaching a person from United Concordia directly regarding this matter, and I prefer to speak with someone rather than receive information online. I am not currently a member but am interested in learning more about the individual plans and their associated prices that your company offers. I am retired and currently on social security and Medicare, but I do not have dental insurance. I recently discovered that my dentist is one of your preferred providers, so it would be logical for me to get coverage through your service. My main issue right now is the challenge of reaching a representative to discuss plan options. I am hoping that someone can contact me to assist me with this. My name is Michael Drulis. I recently started a job with the government and opted for dental insurance through United Concordia. I have a braces consultation scheduled for the 8th, but my United Concordia coverage doesn't start until the 13th. I'm unsure if my copay will be covered by the new insurance or if the orthodontist will proceed with the braces given the insurance activation date. Currently, I have Aetna for my healthcare, which I could use for the consultation copay if United Concordia isn't accepted. I need to know if I will still be covered for the consultation on the 8th, or if there's a possibility of finding a solution since it's the only day that fits into my schedule.
