Hi, I was scheduled to be on the United flight,*:** Pm from Newark To Tel Aviv on August *th. Due to bad weather our flight was delayed and we boarded the aircraft shortly after seven pm. We were seated however the plane didn't depart. Aside from one initial offer of drinks, we were not given any food or snacks. After many hours of unanswered questions, we were told to deplane after ** am. We were treated rudely by the airline members and told harshly to wait on the Customer service line for help. The line was over * hours long and we had no information other than to wait on the line. We were exhausted and my husband waited on the line while I tried to find an agent that would help me. I finally found a kind agent who printed stand by tickets for the **:** Pm flight (that was postponed to *:**am) for myself and my husband. As I neared the gate I learned that this flight was postponed to the next afternoon. By now it was close to *am and we had no information regarding our luggage. I tried to book a hotel room for the night but everything in the surrounding ** miles was fully booked due to cancelled flights. I woke a kind friend at *am and had them send me an Uber to take me to their home in nearby Passaic. All this time, I waited on hold with United customer service to try and get tickets onto the flight the next day. At * am I got myself and my spouse onto the flight that was pushed up to **-** am, August *th. We went back to the airport with another Uber and went to look for our luggage. We were reassured that the luggage was already on our plane and we would receive it at our destination. Our flight took off close to *pm. We landed in Tel- Aviv August *th and waited for our luggage, * duffle bags and my carry on. When all the luggage came out and ours did not, I went to the baggage claim and was told that it is coming on the next flight. I ordered a car service to pick me up and he charged me an extra *** NIS because he had to wait for me while I waited by the baggage claim. My luggage did not come on the next flight. I am a religious Jew and observe Sabbath so I went to my destination in Jerusalam without any luggage. It was a Jewish holiday and all the clothing stores were closed so I spent Sabbath in the same clothing I was wearing from Wednesday afternoon. On Sunday morning, the airport informed me that my luggage arrived however they sent it to the wrong destination. On Sunday night it was returned to the airport and I took a bus there to claim it. Once I got my luggage I had to take a taxi with it back to Jerusalem. Unfortunately, one of my Suitcases came wet and many of the contents were ruined. I'm reaching out to you today to request compensation for the troubles, expenses and frustration this caused myself and my spouse. Thank you
