The *nd leg of my son's trip I booked, was cancelled, with NO explanation to passengers. He attempted to inquire at his gate, what was happening-the attendant seemed to run away from him and closed the gate behind her. He waited close to * hrs in customer service line in search of answers-no luck. Meanwhile, I had called united to inquire and rebook. No understandable reason was given and I had to push the telesales agent to rebook him on a later flight. Because of my initiative, Cassy was able to find a seat on a flight that night, * hrs after his original departure time. Stuff happens, I understand, but it was the total LACK of proaction and responsibility of the whole United staff that makes me wonder if I will ever choose united again if I have a choice. Why were passengers left stranded with NO update? What kind of circumstance and culture within United would explain the above? Re: United flight ****, Denver to Missoula. Ticket number NRK*ED
