I’m writing to submit a complaint for the way United handled my flights earlier this week. I had booked my flight from SAT to IAD for Monday, Nov **th at *:** pm (UA****). The day of, the flight was delayed almost ** times, and when I checked my mileage plus account, my boarding pass had disappeared and the flight UA**** for the next day had replaced the flight I had originally bought, without my prior consent. I spent an hour on hold with the airline in attempts to get an explanation, and my parents were forced to change their tickets so we would all be on the same flight. I am extremely disappointed with the way the airline handled this situation. I have chosen to fly with United as my primary carrier for years, am a MileagePlus member (acct* CJA*****) and have been satisfied with United’s customer service in the past up until this point. Because of the handful of delays and flight changes, I missed my connection flight to Frankfurt for a business trip. My company didn’t have their main presenter for the conference and I am being reprimanded by my employer for a situation that is out of my hands. This caused an unnecessary amount of stress and negatively affected myself, my family, and my career. I understand that winter storms are out of the airline’s control, but I feel as if United could have handled this situation much better, and I would like to be compensated fairly. Thank you for your time.
