To whom it may concern,*I had a terrible experience flying with United. Upon learning that flight **** would be delayed and given a new boarding pass, it was apparent I would not make my flight transfer in Newark. At that point I went to the customer service desk and pointed that out to the attendant who confidently assured me that I would be just fine and not to worry about it.*Sure enough upon arrival in Newark (after running across the airport to the departing flight gate) I had missed my flight. *This being bad enough it only gets worse from here. I then was instructed to go to the customer service desk to get a new flight. When approaching the desk the customer service attendants were not only unapologetic but also clearly tired and wishing not to be bothered. At that point they instructed me that the only flight they could put me on was the next morning at *:**am. I asked to be put in a hotel to which they said they can't do, pointing to the fact that it was a "weather delay". I told them the above story and about how I was told it would be no problem making my flight and that an attendant had misinformed me, to which they had no sympathy and only offered me a pillow and blanket.. to sleep in the airport.*So not only was I forced to sleep in an airport for a night when I never should have left Florida knowing I would miss my connecting flight, I also missed an important day at work the following day and the pay I would have received for that day.*I called United customer service and was again told that it was due to "weather" and I explained the above scenario and pointed to the fact I never should have been instructed to leave Florida in order to sleep in a Newark NJ airport. I was offered a $** voucher for your airline. *I'm sorry but that will not due it for this experience. The sleeping in the airport, the missing work, the paying for another day of parking, these things are not going to be written off with a $** voucher.*I'm giving United an opportunity to make this right before I write online reviews and never fly with you again.
