I submitted my reemployment claim on 3/22/[redacted] and have been awaiting payment for a month now. I provided proof of job loss due to Covid-19, as requested by my employer, even though your website states no verification is needed. It's frustrating to not receive any updates on my application status online, it has been pending since 3/22/[redacted]. When can I expect to receive my pay and the $[redacted].00 government check? The lack of information and assistance is concerning. This system needs urgent improvement to support the struggling people of Florida who are facing financial difficulties during this crisis. The delays are impacting my ability to pay rent and bills, and I urgently require help. Please work on fixing this situation promptly.

I submitted my Reemployment Assistance application around March 21st or 22nd, but there seems to be a mix-up with my information. The online system indicates that I haven't reported recent work and my payments are under review, even though I haven't received any funds since March 15th. I can't reach anyone online or by phone, and heard on the news that the system is overwhelmed due to COVID-19. I decided to fill out a paper application with correct details at CareerSource Florida in North Miami Beach, hoping it would help. However, the computer still shows incorrect information, causing confusion and delays in receiving my much-needed benefits for my family. I'm reaching out for assistance to resolve this issue promptly.

I am having trouble claiming my unemployment benefits. After being laid off on March 17th, I faced difficulties filing my claim due to system errors. Now, when trying to claim my weeks, the page transitions are slow, and I encounter technical issues when answering questions about my work status and job search activities. Despite my efforts to contact the Department of Economic Opportunity for assistance at 1-[redacted], the lines are always busy, and there is no callback service available. Today, April 23rd marks the deadline for two weeks of benefits, and I worry about losing them. Additionally, two more weeks will expire on April 30th. I have repeatedly attempted to resolve these issues promptly as I have diligently sought help since my layoff. Any guidance or support to resolve these challenges would be greatly valued.

I am seeking clarification as to why my benefits have been denied. The reasoning provided is that my current employment is brief, and my previous job had to be left due to a family emergency. Despite having had consistent employment for the past 8 years, I feel unfairly disqualified from receiving benefits under the CARES ACT. While struggling to cover my expenses and having to defer bills, it is frustrating to witness others benefitting without cause. Tomorrow, I start a new job to have some income. I am puzzled by the decision based on a prior claim, considering this is a new employer, and no one could have foreseen the current situation. It is disheartening not to access assistance for even a month. Frustrated by the lack of communication with the unemployment office, I may have to reach out to my state senator for guidance.

I faced issues while registering on the CONNECT site in late March [redacted]. I used the new site provided by Gov. DeSantis, which showed my claim as "Resolved & Completed." Today, 4/27/20, when I logged in again, the original CONNECT site stated my application is incomplete, which is inaccurate. It seems to refer to my partial claim due to freezing issues. The second site where I completed my claim seems to have disappeared. Now, the original CONNECT site shows as unavailable and claims my application is incomplete. I applied on 3/29/20, but haven't received any emails in 28 days. The inconsistency between the two sites is confusing. When I called the toll-free number, I was told I had no registered claim. This situation is frustrating as I urgently need the money for bills and rent. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - A.M. [redacted] [redacted]

I applied for unemployment on 03/29/[redacted] due to JCPenney closing its stores because of the Coronavirus. I am now on furloughed status, with a previous claim good till 10/22/[redacted]. I reopened the claim on 03/23/[redacted]. However, my recent four requested weeks came back as disqualified while my account is active and eligible. I have a balance of $[redacted].00 available, but for two weeks now, I have been unsuccessful in finding out why, as I could not reach a human being at [redacted]. The lack of income for four weeks is distressing. Despite trying various avenues for help, such as contacting the State Senate and Governor's office, I have received no response. This situation is the worst in my 20 years of employment history. I am seeking suggestions on what to do next as I feel lost and no one seems to be addressing the issues faced by individuals like me in similar situations.

Claimant [redacted]: I recently received a denial for my claim, number [redacted]-01. The reason for the denial wasn't specified, with no information provided on the determination or issue screens, just a message stating no record found. Calculating online, it indicates I should be eligible for a minimum of $[redacted] per week. Before considering reapplying or appealing, which has already consumed over 80 hours due to website problems, I am seeking clarity on the exact issue. One potential concern I have is that I listed my employer as a Florida-based company, although its headquarters are located out of state. This guidance was given by my employer, Nitu Salons of Sugarland, TX, as I couldn't find their exact location on the provided list. Feeling frustrated after waiting four weeks, I acknowledge improvements in the website and communication, but the process remains challenging. I am eager to understand what is causing the problem with my claim. Appreciate your assistance. Regards, Sun Stewart

I have lost weeks of work. I shared a year's worth of paycheck information with you. I work as a private duty nurse and had a slow period with no calls. Despite multiple attempts to contact you, no response was received. Some scheduled orientations were canceled, but I managed to cover a few cases. I traveled to NY for work as I am licensed there but faced issues with PPE shortages due to my health risks. Subsequently, I was placed under quarantine upon arrival in FL due to the COVID situation and was hospitalized. I have been unable to work for months, facing difficulties with online applications and authentication errors. Recently, I submitted a paper application by mail with detailed information and pay stubs. I urgently need financial assistance. Kindly update me on my claim status, expected payment timeline, method of payment, and whether past six months' compensation will be included. My claim number is [redacted]. I am experiencing living conditions impacted by a flood, mold, allergies, and health issues, requiring financial support for accommodations, food, and pest control expenses. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have received an email from CONNECT Reemployment Assistance regarding important correspondence to be viewed on the Florida CONNECT website. In following the instructions provided in the email, I encountered an issue where clicking on "view determination" does not lead to the proper page and continually brings me back to the same screen. Today, I received an additional letter from the DEO requesting the same action but the problem persists. I am unable to view the determination as directed. This issue needs to be addressed promptly as I am unsure of what steps to take next. Thank you.

I have been attempting to reach out via phone and email without success due to difficulties finding the correct contact information. This morning, I made an attempt to address my claim. I have received two benefit payments but believe I am entitled to the full weekly amount of $[redacted] as I lost my employment due to Covid-19 as a self-employed worker with both [redacted] and W2 forms. It seems my application did not properly include my self-employed work, preventing me from appealing. Despite repeatedly stating my employment loss date as March 10, [redacted], I only started receiving payments in April, causing confusion. Additionally, I have only received two bi-weekly payments of $[redacted] instead of the expected weekly payments. I have made several attempts to contact support but have faced difficulties accessing the site and being disconnected over the phone. I hope to resolve these issues promptly. Thank you. - Monique M.

In January [redacted], I was laid off from my job at a restaurant with hardly any notice. Subsequently, I started applying to other eateries, but due to the pandemic, most places closed down, leaving me unemployed. Without any income, I am struggling to meet my basic needs and have been unsuccessful in applying for unemployment benefits. Every time I try, the system prompts me to appeal my application by a deadline that has already passed. I am in desperate need of guidance on how to accurately complete this form to access the assistance I require as the country reopens. I need advice on how to navigate this process more effectively to secure the support I need to afford meals and survive.

I am an independent contractor, and Uber driving used to be my main source of income. I applied for unemployment under the Cares Act at the end of March, but I was deemed ineligible. Even after I appealed, I received no response. Recently, I reapplied on April 19 when DEO opened applications for independent contractors, only to be told today that I am once again ineligible due to insufficient earnings in my base period. I am frustrated because I haven't earned anything since March and, at 68 years old, finding work is challenging. I provided DEO with my [redacted] from last year showing earnings over $30,[redacted] from Uber in [redacted], which I believed met the requirements. It's unclear if DEO is considering Florida unemployment benefits instead. The lack of communication and clarity from DEO is disheartening.

My name is Lucy C. I have been working at the Fort Drum Shell on the Florida Turnpike. Many people stop there for gas, but very few wear masks. I have been frequently absent from work due to health issues. My doctor has advised me to stay home because I have heart problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, and a bleeding issue, making me at high risk for COVID-19. I want to leave this job and apply for unemployment to ensure my safety. How can I go about doing this?

I have been pending since March 15th. Now, I have been approved, but this was only after being deemed ineligible on April 25th. I reapplied on April 26th and was promised a link for PUA benefits within 72 hours, yet it took until May 10th to receive it. I was finally approved on May 15th and received a payment of $[redacted]. However, my main concern is that the payment needs to be backdated to my original application date of March 15th. Additionally, I keep receiving notices stating I was unavailable to work due to being incarcerated last year, which is not accurate. I have been trying to contact someone via phone and email every day since March 15th, but have not been successful. I am in desperate need of assistance and would greatly appreciate a callback.

Hello, I am eligible for unemployment benefits and have not received any payments yet. I have completed all my weekly benefits, but I am unsure why I have not received any payments. When I called, no one could provide clarity, but they mentioned it should have been processed. The system shows an adjudication issue, which I do not understand. It has been mentioned that this is fixed, and according to the president, I cannot be penalized for overpayments. I have followed all the requirements but have no one to help me resolve this issue. I am not very familiar with computers, and it seems that this problem dates back to over 10 years ago. It has been two months without any payments. I kindly request assistance to expedite the process. Thank you for your help.

I applied for unemployment on March 24, [redacted]. Two weeks later, Walmart offered me a temporary part-time job, which I started on April 2, [redacted]. I have received $[redacted] in three checks and a Florida Way 2 Go Card. I was unsure if I could get unemployment benefits after being furloughed from my previous job in Tampa, where I worked for around five weeks. Despite the pending status on UI Online Florida, in May, I started receiving benefits. However, I couldn't claim weeks I worked part-time due to system issues. I provided details about my part-time job as requested by DEO but couldn't resolve the problem via phone calls as they keep dropping. I am concerned about potential trouble due to this oversight and aim to rectify it promptly.

I faced difficulty applying at the beginning of April due to a required pin. I have resided in Florida for 9.5 years with no previous claims. After attempting to answer security questions, I got locked out. I managed to reapply on April 16 with no response, then reapplied on April 28, receiving confirmation. However, I encountered an issue stating an old claim was duplicating the new one, pending since April 28. I've tried to request the pin via email numerous times without success. A few weeks ago, I reached an agent over the phone, but she couldn't help and directed me to another number for verification, which I couldn't get through. I'm perplexed about the lack of approval or funds disbursed. Being unemployed with no income, I work for a company in California, expecting to return in August. I'm contemplating reaching out to state officials for assistance. I urgently need guidance on what steps to take and why I'm facing these obstacles.

My unemployment application in Florida is currently active but pending. I have been unemployed since March 23 and applied on April 9. I am unsure why there is a holdup, as I provided all requested details such as salary and school info, and claimed my week. Unfortunately, I'm unable to reach anyone by phone, and my email inquiries have gone unanswered. I would appreciate guidance on how to proceed.

My husband applied for Unemployment on 4/5/[redacted], and we have only received one check for $[redacted] from DEO on May 21, [redacted]. Today, we received the Way2Go Card in the mail with $[redacted] loaded on it. We are having trouble accessing the UI website to request payments for the other weeks. Despite our efforts, we were unable to request payments on time due to website issues. We urgently need this financial assistance as our family is struggling. We require assistance with accessing the website to request the overdue payments.

I still haven't received my retro pay for April and the first two weeks of May. I got payments for two weeks, but nothing afterwards. When I check my DEO Florida unemployment page, it shows no pending issues and states that I am eligible. The first two payments I received were for $[redacted] + $[redacted] each, but then I got the same amount the following week, followed by nothing since then. I am unsure how to resolve this issue.
