Help with my Ubisoft issue
GetHuman-tccollin's next move: talk to Ubisoft when they open.
Ubisoft's call center is closed now. We will send GetHuman-tccollin a reminder to call them when they open. Nothing to do for now but wait!
The issue in GetHuman-tccollin's own words
Hi! I am new to PC Gaming. I’m sure i have probably screwed something up, but here is what happened. It says that my game (Rainbow Six: Siege) is having trouble authenticating to my account. This is because it wouldn’t log me into my normal UPlay account for reasons still unknown to me (I had to change my password and it still wouldn’t log me in. Finally, the next day, it did.), so I created another UPlay account with my other email because I was so eager to play the game. Once I got back into my regular UPlay account through my main email, I went to launch the game through steam. The same UPlay message from the previous day when I first started the game popped up. Something along the lines of “This will connect your UPlay account to this game” and it had my normal account information on the screen. I said continue, and it said it was unable to do that. I don’t know if this is because the game has been launched on the other account or what. If that happens to be the case, I read on the Ubisoft Support website that while merging accounts is not possible, they can transfer my game activation to my normal account, though I will lose any saved progress. This isn’t a problem, as I’ve only played the Situations to get used to playing on Keyboard and Mouse, so hopefully this will be possible.
GetHuman-tccollin did not yet indicate what Ubisoft should do to make this right.
