I have Uber Credits in the amount of twelve dollars that I would like to use for an UberEATS order that comes to a total of eleven dollars and nineteen cents, however, when I press Place Order, I continuously receive an error message saying "Uber Cash: Your payment method is invalid. Please update your billing settings." The other payment method alongside the Credits is an activated Visa Gift Card that has twenty dollars which Uber stated they accept as forms of payment, so I don't know how there can be an issue with my chosen payments.
There was no interaction between me and Uber to clarify that they were suspicious of my account activity for whatever reason and that they placed a hold on my account, resulting in my inability to use my Credits.
Let customers know if they find something strange about their use of the app and services or whatever, don't simply block the customer out without warning or explanation.
I made an Uber account in early two thousand and nineteen, and have only used Uber twice and their Eats service once so far. My use of the share ride transportation service was back to back when I made a grocery shopping trip earlier this year. I actually attempted to use the remaining credits before this newest issue, and was unable to, however I figured Uber was just being buggy and did not reach out as their transportation wasn't really an issue at that time. Months later I attempted to use my remaining credits again to place an order on UnerEats and was unable to do so. If I had known they found something strange about my account I would have gladly told them why they had no reason to worry about my account.
Searched across the internet for anyone experiencing my issue but came up blank with only advice to check with the bank and to contact Uber Support.
