Set up Uber profile and invited person to join Uber Family. Supposedly Uber sent an invitation to their phone (which already has Uber app installed), but they have not received an invitation. After waiting an hour, I cancelled invite, verified all info and tried again - still nothing. Sent email request to Uber, they acknowledged it, but I never heard back despite reply email that I sent.*The goal is to get my invitation sent to Family member and see the Invitation Status in settings tab advance from "Pending" to some type of active status so they can use Uber.

This sounds more complicated that it is - if you have the guidelines in mind, the phones*contact lists set up it is not too bad, and the Uber Help Desk won't be needed - which was needed in my case - as explained below.*Eventually (*** hours) the Uber help desk responded, investigated my issue, and set up my family member Uber account and phone so that I could proceed.*Some guidelines* Lessons learned that may be true and*or helpful:*Use only one account and one phone per person for all Uber operations. Do not plan to transfer phone or Uber account*login later. Uber keeps track of phone numbers and email addresses already in use. If your new phone number is recycled and prior owner had Uber, this will require handling following Uber instructions.*First, the Family Organizer needs a complete Uber account*app installation on their private phone and verified. *Even though one of the primary goals is to have Family Organizer handle all of the bookkeeping, it may(?) be necessary to already have unique email address for each family member. If so, these could be Google Gmail accounts set up by family organizer for each family member and easily read on the phone(s).*Before the organizer invites family members to join the organizer's profile from the Uber settings menu, set up each family member's unique phone with their one and only Uber Account*App. If it is possible to defer specifying payment scheme, and you wish that it be handled by family organizer's payment scheme then defer specifying on the new family member's account.*Go through Uber account verification process as needed on family member's phone. *Then have Family Organizer be sure that the family members cell phone number appears in Organizer's phone contact list. The organizer goes to Uber settings and from the profile invites the Family Member, selected from the contact list, which will achieve a pending status. The Family Member may want to have the Uber App already running, will see*accept the invitation pop-up, and will be added to the organizer's family. The organizer can then invite another member - limited to one pending invitation at a time.*Good Luck
