On February 1, [redacted], I used an UBER to go to the hospital for a biopsy. The snow and ice conditions were poor, but I didn't want to miss this vital appointment. I expected a fare of around $40 for a 3-mile journey due to the high demand caused by the bad weather. To my surprise, the bill was almost double because we added a stop on the way to pick up a family member accompanying me. Even though I tried to follow the instructions for adding a stop correctly, I think I was overcharged for the ride. I am requesting a refund as I found the cost excessive. Despite the discomfort post-procedure, I opted to take the bus back home after spending so much on transportation to the hospital.

During two out of the five times I've used Uber, I experienced issues with the drivers not showing up. The first instance was on February 5, where I waited for 20 minutes past the scheduled arrival time with no driver showing up, leading me to cancel and getting charged five dollars, which I find unfair. The second incident occurred on February 16, where I could see the car on the map but not in reality. After contacting the driver, she mentioned being sent to the wrong location and eventually moved away from where I was waiting, forcing me to cancel again. Furthermore, I've been facing difficulty accessing my Uber account on the computer as it indicates no account linked to my email or phone number. When attempting to create a new account, it states that my details are already in use, creating a frustrating situation.

I used Uber for rides between 2/10 and 2/14. I realized my Bose QuietComfort Noise Canceling Headphones were missing after returning a ride on 2/10. I contacted Uber support on 2/14 through the app to reach out to the drivers I rode with during that time. The responses I received were unhelpful and did not address my request. It has been six days since then, with delayed or no responses. I'm unable to escalate the issue further. The customer service has been unsatisfactory, unlike Lyft's responsive support. I requested Corporate Customer Office information out of frustration. I wish for a email response or a call back at [redacted].

I used Uber for the first time yesterday, 2/19/19. I was unaware that Uber does not allow for reservations in advance. I mistakenly requested a ride while I was still hours away from my pick-up location, as I was on a flight at the time. Despite trying to cancel the ride through the app and contacting the driver directly, Uber continued to dispatch drivers. I am worried about being charged for a service I did not use. I have since used Uber three more times and should only have three legitimate charges. I would appreciate if Uber's English-speaking customer service could contact me at [redacted] to address and resolve this issue with potential unauthorized charges.

In mid-November, my wallet went missing during an Uber ride when the first driver picked up my wife and me at our house around 5:30 P.M. We were in a rush because my wife couldn't find her car keys, and I needed to get to the DMV by 6 P.M. on the last day to replace my lost driver's license. The DMV was only 20 minutes away from my house, as I had worked just five minutes past that office for three years. I always made it to work in 24-26 minutes, even with traffic, without speeding, so the Uber ride to the DMV should have taken no more than 19 to 21 minutes. The Uber driver didn't take the quickest route and was driving well below the speed limit, so I had to speak up after enduring this slow journey for about 6-7 miles. Uber should be able to provide the necessary files or documentation for this incident upon checking.

Yesterday at DFW, I had an issue with Uber. The concierge at the Grand Hyatt / DFW helped me order a ride from my phone but no Uber arrived. In a rush for a meeting, the hotel doorman suggested a "blackcar" instead. My phone indicated the Uber was a minute away, then suddenly said "trip canceled" without my involvement, leaving me stranded. Today, I received an email about a cancellation charge for the Uber that never appeared. Please resolve this error and remove the unjust fee, or I'll avoid future business with you. Dissatisfied and frustrated, DRL

I am reporting an incident anonymously regarding an Uber driver in Calgary, Alberta. The driver's name is David Gillespi. David is allegedly involved in selling methamphetamine during his rides and engaging in sexual activity, exchanging drugs for favors with some passengers, including underage boys. He is known to be staying at [redacted] Bowness Road NW in Calgary intermittently with a younger adult male who is on Social Assistance. David also made inappropriate offers to me, which I declined. I have specifically requested not to be picked up by him anymore.

I often struggle to add an extra stop on the app. When trying to include my home address for a round trip, the app fails to update the trip promptly. This forces me to get out with my infant daughter to change cars, making the process inconvenient, especially in bad weather. Many drivers have mentioned similar issues, urging me to reach out to Uber, but finding a way to contact them proves difficult as there is no visible email address on their website.

I created an account two days ago and tried to use an Uber gift card I bought to get home. The payment went through, but they asked for additional verification. I made a Facebook account for help, but it didn't work. When I got home, I added a Visa card to the payment section but still couldn't get rides. I updated my verified email and phone number, but the next day, I was signed out and told my account was disabled. I contacted Uber support, but no resolution yet. I can't sign back in using my email or phone number. It feels like all my money is trapped!

I am seeking a full refund for a cancellation fee. As a first-time user of the Uber app, I recently requested a ride for my elderly father. I provided specific instructions for the driver to call my father's cell phone, but the driver called me instead. When I asked him to call my father, he rudely hung up without explanation. I was charged a $6 fee and had to personally pick up my father as a result of the driver's unprofessional behavior. This incident has eroded my trust in Uber and left me feeling significantly dissatisfied with the service. I am still new to using the app and this experience has been frustrating and costly. I kindly request a prompt resolution to this matter in the form of a refund before I escalate the issue with my bank and share my negative experience on social media platforms.

While on my way to the UNC basketball game, I encountered a situation where my Uber trip was cancelled mid-ride due to a glitch in the app. Despite this, I continued to drive the passengers who were heading to the game, understanding that such things can happen. Unfortunately, during this hectic moment, a lady driving in a parking lot backed into my car, causing minor damage. Multiple witnesses observed the incident, and I am confident the police report will verify that I was not at fault. The report will be available tomorrow at 8 am. I tried my best to avoid the collision by honking and attempting to maneuver, but the accident still occurred. I intend to address this with my insurance but seek guidance on any additional steps I should take in this situation. Sincerely, D. O’L.

I called a driver and the estimated time kept changing. When the driver arrived, it was a different person than shown in the app. Despite my request for a female driver, a man arrived. He went the wrong way and became rude when I pointed it out. He dropped me off at the wrong location, insisting he knew the way. He became increasingly disrespectful, eventually threatening to cancel the ride but never did. He used inappropriate language and was unprofessional throughout the ride. I have been a loyal customer of Uber and Lyft for over 2 years and have never encountered such behavior before.

Dear Support Team, I wanted to express my disappointment regarding a recent Uber ride experience. The driver left abruptly, causing me inconvenience and distress. Despite being ready promptly, the driver departed just as I approached the vehicle, leading to a chaotic situation where I had to chase after the car. This behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable, especially considering I was headed to a crucial appointment at the Veterans Affairs Hospital as a disabled veteran. While I appreciate the reimbursement, I believe it is essential to address such conduct to ensure it does not recur. This has happened twice with Uber, contrasting my positive experiences with Lyft. I urge for appropriate actions to be taken to prevent such incidents in the future. Thank you.

I do not personally have an Uber account due to my discomfort with riding with strangers. However, my boyfriend had to use Uber on the night of 2/28/19. The driver was aware that my boyfriend had his cell phone because he was on a call with me during the ride. Unfortunately, he misplaced the phone in the car, and the driver initially claimed it was left at a friend's house. I persisted in calling the phone, and the driver answered, arranging to return it to me the next day. Upon returning the phone, I mentioned the $15 Lost and Found fee, to which the driver claimed ignorance. Unexpectedly, after I left, he began pressuring me to pay him in cash or through a cash app. This behavior is unacceptable, and I am deeply upset by how the Uber driver has handled this situation.

I recently spoke with Mr. Sahil, a customer service agent, regarding two rides where drivers asked for toll money despite it being included in my fare. Mr. Sahil has been calling me repeatedly without providing satisfactory answers, causing disruptions to my work. He advised me not to pay the toll and ignore any requests from drivers for additional payment. When I inquired about potential consequences for the drivers, Mr. Sahil indicated he couldn't disclose that due to privacy reasons. I expressed concerns over the security implications of drivers asking for extra money, but Mr. Sahil urged me not to assume the worst. Unfortunately, I found his support to be unhelpful. I am now seeking assistance from a more accountable representative who can address my concerns effectively.

I have been an Uber driver for over a year with a clean record. Recently, I was temporarily deactivated due to a misdemeanor charge that surfaced in a background check. The state I reside in allows for warrants to be obtained by private citizens with minimal evidence, causing individuals to be presumed guilty until proven innocent. While I voluntarily surrendered for processing regarding this matter and have legal representation addressing it, Uber has suspended my driving privileges until this situation is resolved, which may take months to a year. I rely on Uber for income to cover steep medical expenses. It's important to note that I have not been convicted of any wrongdoing, and Uber's assumption of guilt is unfair. I urge Uber to consider my history and not prejudge me, especially as I believe this issue stems from a personal dispute. I kindly request the reinstatement of my driving privileges until any alleged charges are disproven.

I don't face any problems while driving as I consider myself a good driver. However, I do notice feeling tired and lazy after long hours of driving. Safety has always been a priority for me, and I take it seriously. Although there were concerns about deactivating my account for safety reasons, I believe the company should listen to drivers before making decisions. I disagree with any negligence accusations as being tired doesn't equate to neglect. Currently, I am working for another company during the day as I prefer not to work at night. I would like to continue working with Uber and hope the company recognizes the insignificant issues at hand. I had a thyroid issue and took medication for three months to address feeling tired and sluggish, which was confirmed by doctors. I am now healthy, but Uber seems to overlook this matter. When deactivating an account, there should be a specific reason to ensure fairness, but the company's actions feel unjust as my account was closed without a clear explanation. I hope my concerns are taken seriously and addressed.

I encountered an issue where we were charged twice for a single trip home by Uber driver Victor. Unfortunately, he was unable to resolve the problem, so we had to split the payment between two different credit cards. The initial trip was fine with only one charge. This double charge during a stressful day, as my daughter had surgery, added to our frustration. The total amount of approximately $36 has had a significant impact on us, as we are low-income and facing challenges. My husband, Kenny L. J., is unable to walk and is currently unemployed, and I, Natalie A. J., am on permanent disability. Without a vehicle, we heavily rely on Uber and Lyft for transportation, especially for medical appointments with our 6-year-old son, Noah M. Our address is [redacted] North Rancho Drive Bldg U #[redacted], Las Vegas, NV [redacted]. Regrettably, we are experiencing issues with our email linked to the account, and we kindly ask for assistance in resolving these matters.

To Whom It May Concern, Greetings, my name is Caleb. I have been a frequent user of Uber, and although I may not be a significant customer, I wanted to shed light on a concerning issue. I, along with people I know, have experienced losing items in Uber vehicles. The current system in place seems inadequate. After losing my phone in an Uber (my mistake), I utilized the app to request its return. Despite being informed of a $15 charge, it was never applied, and I received no response from the driver. The following day, by using Find My iPhone, I located my phone at the driver's apartment after personally seeking it out. I was pleased when the driver confirmed he had my phone, but his request for $40 was unexpected. Similar occurrences have also been encountered by my friends, leading me to raise this issue today after watching a YouTube video by a favorite content creator, Scotty Sire. I strongly believe that such incidents, where drivers demand unreasonable payments for lost items, need to be addressed more seriously by Uber. As of now, Lyft is lowering prices to compete, while incidents like these could potentially deter more customers. Running a smaller business myself, I understand the difficulties faced by smaller entities when addressing issues such as this. I urge for stricter actions to be taken against employees who mishandle such situations, as it not only violates company policies but also breaches customer trust. I previously reported a similar incident that occurred through a friend's account, where no suitable resolution was reached. A negative review for the driver was inadequate, considering the magnitude of the issue. If needed, I am available via email to provide further details or assistance. I feel strongly that instances like these should not be overlooked any longer.

On March 7, [redacted] at 7:10 PM, I arranged for an Uber ride for myself, my wife, a friend, and his wife from Hilton Head, SC at the Marriott SurfWatch. The driver assigned was Porcha Artavia with a silver Nissan Altima, license plate RSC225. However, upon arrival, we noticed a child in the front seat, and Ms. Artavia mentioned she thought she was picking up only one passenger. Concerned about safety and seating, we asked Ms. Artavia to cancel the ride. Subsequently, we had to request another ride and endure a wait in the cold, which was inconvenient. Having used ride-sharing services for many years, this unprofessional experience was unexpected. It is concerning that Ms. Artavia had a child in the car, potentially compromising safety for both herself and passengers. I hope this issue can be addressed promptly. Thank you, Jamal H.
