My name is Tapash Sarcar. I used Uber, I believe about * Fridays ago, which I believe was Nov.**th around *:**PM and again at about *:**pm. My wife temporarily mis-placed her car keys, and I HAD TO GET TO THE DPS*DMV OFFICE OFF OF NW HWY IN GARLAND,TX. BEFORE THEY CLOSED AT *PM. THUS I TOLD MY WIFE WE DO NOT HAVE TIME TO LOOK FOR YOUR KEYS IN THE HOUSE SOMEWHERE AND THUS CALLED FOR AN UBER AROUND *:**PM ON FRI. NOV. **TH. THIS TRIP WAS URGENT AS IT WAS THE LAST DAY I COULD GET A REPLACEMENT DRIVER'S LICENSE (LONG STORY). I USED TO WORK BY THIS DPS*DMV OFFICE SO KNEW THAT IT ONLY TAKES ABOUT ** MINUTES TO GET THERE. THE UBER DRIVER PICKED US UP AT OUR HOUSE IN ROWLETT, AT *:**PM, SO WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO MAKE IT BEFORE *PM(I'LL DISCUSS THIS MATTER CONCERNING THE DRIVER WHEN HOPEFULLY YOU GIVE ME A CALL AT ***-***-**** A.S.A.P. THE PROBLEM I AM STILL FACING IS THAT I LOST MY WALLET EITHER IN ONE OF THE * UBER'S I USED, OR SINCE I ONLY WALKED ABOUT ** YARDS FROM MY HOUSE TO THE FIRST UBER. THAN WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE DPS*DMV OFFICE, WALKED ONLY ABOUT *O TO *O YARDS TO THE DOOR(HE GOT US THERE AT *:O*PM., THUS THEY HAD JUST LOCKED THE DOOR)! THIS DRIVER SEEMED SUSPICIOUS(ODD-ACTING) ETC. BUT I DO NOT WANT TO ACCUSE ANYONE WHEN I HAVE NO POSITIVE REASON ETC. I DID FOR SOME REASON FEEL FOR MY WALLET JUST AS HE WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE & DID NOT FEEL IT IN MYI BACK POCKET. SO I IMMEDIATELY RAN TO THE UBER(MY WIFE HAD ACCIDENTALLY LEFT HIS REAR BACK OPEN SO HE COULDN'T HAVE LEFT ANYIWAY) ,SO WHILE HW WA YELLING "HURRYI UP & CLOSE MY BACK DOOR", I OPENED HIS FRONT PASSENGER'S DOOR TO LOOK FOR MY WALLET BUT DID NOT SEE IT. HE WAS BY NOW YELLING PRETTY LOUD TO CLOSE BOTH DOORS AS "HE SAID HE HAD JUST GOT ANOTHER CALL ETC., SO I DID NOT GET TO SEARCH AROUND WHERE I WAS SITTING AS WELL AS I WANTED TO. FOR EX. UNDER THE SEAT ETC. BUT AS I WAS ABOUT TO SHUT BOTH DOORS, HE SAID "YOUR WALLET IS IN YOUR BACK POCKET". I THOUGHT IT WAS STRANGE THAT HE WOULD KNOW THAT BIT OF SPECIFIC INFO. ETC. BUT I DID JUST FEEL MY BACK POCKET AGAIN WHEN HE SAID THAT & THIS TIME THOUGHT I FELT SOMETHING. I SHUT BOTH DOORS AND HE LEFT IN A VERY BIG HURRY. SO WE SAT DOWN ON A BENCH IN FRONT OF THE OFFICE AND MY WIFE CALLED THE OTHER UBER. THEN I DID SOMETHING STUPID, I FELT MY BACK POCKET AGAIN AND IT FELT LIKE IT WAS IN THERE. BUT I DID NOT PHYSICALLY GET WHAT WAS IN MY BACK POCKET OUT & JUST ASSUMED THAT IT WAS MY WALLET. THE SECOND UBER DRIVER WAS VERY NICE & BOTH OF US HAD PLAYED BASEBALL, THUS WE TALKED BASEBALL ALL THE WAY BACK TO OUR HOUSE OR I MICHT HAVE ACTUALLY CHECKED TO MAKE SURE WHAT I HAD FELT OF WAS ACTUALLY MY WALLET. WHILE I WAS WALKING THE ** YARDS OR SO TO MY FRONT DOOR WAS THE FIRST TIME I PHYSICALLY CHECKED MY BACK POCKET & IT WAS NOT MY WALLET. SO I RAN AND CAUGHT HIM AND HE WAS VERY NICE WHILE I SEARCHED HIS CAR AND SAID HE WOULD EVEN LET ME KNOW IIF HE FINDS IT. MIY WIFE IMMEDIATELY CALLED YOU AT UBER AND SHE SAID THE LADY WAS VERY UNDERSTANDING AND SAID" SHE WOULD IMMEDIATELY E-MAIL BOTH THE UBER DRIVER'S A.S.A.P. THAN I BELIEVE IT WAS EITHER HER &*OR MAYBE MY WIFE HAD FOUND*GOTTEN YOUR DEPT. THAT INVESTIGATES THESE TYPE OF MATTERS. ANYWAY SHE SAID THAT SOMEONE FROM UBER PROMISED TO CALL US EVEN IF THE WALLET HAD NOT BEEN FOUND. MY WIFE AND I THEN IMMEDIATELY WENT BACK TO THE DPS*DMV OFFICE WE HAD JUST BEEN AT ** MIN. BEFORE(WE FOUND HER CAR KEYS IN THE HOUSE VERY QUICK). BUT SOMEONE HAD DEFINITELY STOLEN IT BECAUSE I IMMEDIATELY CHECKED THE COMPUTER TO SEE IF ANYTHING UNUSUAL WAS ALREADY IN OUR BANK SCREEN, WHILE MY WIFE WAS CALLING THE BANK OF AMERICA'S FRAUD DEPT. THEY ASKED A LOT OF QUESTIONS AND ALSO PROMISED TO CALL US BUT WE*I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM EITHER ONE OF YOU! THE FRAUD DEPT. CAN SEE INSTANTANEOUSLY IF ANIY OF MY CREDIT*DEBIT CARDS HAD BEEN USED, PLUS I ALWAYS CARRY * BLANK CHECKS IN MY WALLET. WITHIND A COUPLE OF HOURS THEY HAD ALREADY USED A BANK OF AMERICA CHARGE CARD AT WALMART AND HAD TRIED TO USE A CHECK BUT SINCE WE ACTED SO QUICK THE FRAUD DEPT. HAD ALREADY STOPPED PAYMENT*VOIDED BOTH CHECKS. I SPENT ABOUT * PLUS DAYS TRYING AND FINALLY INFORMING ALL OF THE MERCHANTS ETC. AS TO WHAT HAD JUST HAPPENED(IT WAS THE WEEKEND AND SO IT WAS DIFFICULT TO REACH SOME MERCHANT'S ETC.ESPECIALLY THE AUTO-DEBIT MERCHANTS. BUT I DO NOT LIKE FOR ANYONE TO LOSE MONEY, ESPECIALLY AS IT MAY HAVE BEEN INITIATED BY MYSELF ETC,. AS FAR AS I KNOW, ONLY THE BANK'S CREDIT CARD HAD BEEN USED ONE TIME FOR NOT TOO MUCH OF AN AMOUNT & I KNOW I HAD EXACTLY $** IN MY WALLET. SO THE MAIN REASON FOR THIS E-MAIL IS I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ANYTHING YOU MIGHT HAVE FOUND OUT(ALSO I HAD A LOT OF IMPORTANT PHONE *'S ETC. INSIDE AND SO WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY WALLET BACK IF THAT'S EVEN REMOTELY POSSIBLE NOW). ALSO I FEEL LIKE I HAVE DONE ALL THAT I COULD DO PERSONALY TO KEEP EVERYONE'S LOSSES TO A MINIMUM BY ABOUT *&*** DAYS OF URGENCY TOWARDS LIMITING ALL DAMAGES TO A MINIMUM. YET I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING MORE THAN I KNEW * WEEKS AGO. ALSO I WANT TO PRESS CHARGES, SO SURELY THERE WERE CAMERAS AT BOTH WALMART AND ALSO AT THE DPS*DMV OFFICE(IT WAS VERY WELL LIT UP AROUND THE BENCH WHERE WE SAT.). ALSO, I WOULD LIKE TO TALK WITH YOU ABOUT THE FIRST DRIVER. PLEASE GIVE ME A CALL AT THE ABOVE PHONE*(IT IS THE MAIN HOUSE * AND YOU CAN EVEN LEAVE A MESSAGE ON IT SO I CAN CALL YOU RIGHT BACK ETC. ALSO MY WIFE(TRICIA) IS DIS-ABLED AND THUS HAS HER CELL PHONE NEAR HER AT ALL TIMES AND FEEL FREE TO CALL HER AT ***-***-****. SORRY, FOR ALL THE EXTRA WORK I MAY HAVE CAUSED ALL OF YOU. AWAITING YOUR CALL AS WE SHOULD BE HOME ALL DAY BUT I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, AS I STILL HAVE A FEW OTHERS TO CALL, ESPECIALLY THE BANK'S FRAUD DEPT.ETC.
