While waiting with my two small boys at the pick-up spot, I couldn't spot my Uber driver. I decided to give him a call and informed him that I was waiting next to the petrol station on Belsaize Avenue. I clarified that the petrol station was only between us, and he could easily park there. However, he mentioned he couldn't park at the petrol station. I reiterated my location and explained the situation with the boys and the traffic. Despite this, he insisted he was unable to pick me up and suggested I request another Uber. I attempted to reach out again, but only got his voicemail. This experience left me feeling quite stressed. Normally, I use Uber weekly and have been quite satisfied with the service.

During my recent Uber ride from La Jolla to Pomona, I encountered an issue with my driver, Waad, who was driving without a license plate and racking up toll road fines on the [redacted] and [redacted] toll roads in Orange County. Despite his frustration over the fines and the long unpaid return trip he faced, I was unsure how to address the situation. In a gesture of goodwill, I used some Starbucks Christmas gift cards I had on hand to help cover his toll fees. This experience left me feeling anxious and disappointed, especially knowing that drivers like Waad may not be fairly compensated for their time and expenses. While I have been a loyal Uber customer in the past, this incident has made me hesitant to use Uber and UberEats again. I urge Uber to address these issues responsibly and ensure that drivers are fairly compensated for their trips, especially for longer distances.

My name is Ronald J Willis. My address is [redacted] Morlynn Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC, [redacted]. The phone number showing on my Uber account, [redacted], is no longer in use. You can reach me at [redacted]. I stopped driving for Uber in April [redacted] when I resigned. My issue is that my insurance company, Geico, requires a letter on Uber letterhead confirming that I am not driving for Uber, or they will cancel my auto insurance in 30 days. The Veterans Administration has also requested the same letter. I am a disabled US veteran and have submitted a VA Disability Claim to increase my unemployability due to severe medical problems. The VA Claims officers found in my medical records from over a year ago that I was driving for Uber. Unless I can prove that I am no longer driving for Uber, they will deny my claim. Please assist me with this urgently. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hello Uber Team, I'm Luis Anthony Francisco reaching out regarding my sign-up issue. I recently got a new phone from AT&T and have been encountering technical difficulties creating an Uber account. The system is saying my phone number is already in use, but I've never signed up before. My phone number is 1[redacted]. I'd appreciate a prompt response to help me resolve this matter. Thank you, have a great day.

On the morning of November 20, [redacted], my husband, J.T., booked an Uber from [redacted] 6th Ave West, Seattle, Washington, to SeaTac Airport. While I was loading half of our luggage into the car, the driver left with me still inside despite my pleas for him to stop. Distressed, I managed to direct him back to our location where my husband was waiting with the rest of the luggage. The driver struggled with English and did not follow directions well. I believe he should be dismissed. Additionally, he unfairly rated my husband, whose rating I would like to see corrected.

I am very disappointed with tonight's experience. I followed the Uber app's instructions to the wrong pick-up point, resulting in three cancellations by drivers. Two of them even drove away without explanation. On the fourth attempt, we were picked up, but our fare increased by $5-6, and I was charged $5 for one of the canceled rides. The only reason we were finally picked up was likely because I called immediately to confirm that the driver wouldn't cancel like the others. Despite being one of the first at the drop-off point, we ended up being the last to leave. To top it off, it started raining on us, and we arrived home almost an hour later than the initial estimated time.

Two days ago, I misplaced my phone in one of your cabs while traveling from Bani Park to Patrakar Colony. The driver contacted me using a different number to let me know about the forgotten phone. We requested his number, but he immediately turned off the phone without sharing his contact details. When we tried calling my missing phone the next day, it was being used, and we realized he was even using my data through my Jio app. Despite numerous attempts, I couldn't reach your customer service, as no one answered the calls. I kindly ask for your help in retrieving my phone. Please contact me at [redacted]. Best regards, An unhappy Uber user 😔

I'm looking for information on the status of my background check, but I'm still not receiving a clear answer on how long it will take. I submitted my application on Friday and visited the Green Light Hub on Monday, where they mentioned it should take 25-48 hours, with Wednesday as the latest timeline. It is now Thursday, and the process is dragging on. Given that this week is a high-demand period in Miami with better pay, the delay is particularly frustrating. As someone with TSA clearance and Department of Homeland Security foreign trade zone approval, as well as a Navy veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, I'm puzzled by the prolonged wait.

I was charged $6.00 for a cancellation fee on November 1st and 20th. On the first occasion, the driver stopped on the opposite side of the busy street, making it hard for me to cross immediately due to traffic. The driver honked and drove off, canceling the trip. In the second incident, the driver did not attempt to reach us, ignoring our calls and canceling the trip. We promptly booked another driver who arrived promptly and was polite. I am requesting a full refund of the two cancellation fees. Thank you.

Thank you for your message. I'm concerned about not receiving the surge earnings and promotions as expected. I've noticed that when riding with my partner, who sees the surge area highlighted in blue on the map, but I can't see it on mine. Even after making deliveries during surge times in the surge area, I haven't received the additional income. Despite trying various troubleshooting steps like resetting the app and reinstalling it, the issue persists. I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter promptly.

My initial Uber driver, Gertie, abruptly ended the call and canceled the ride when she was close to our house. Despite the scheduled pick-up window from 7:00 AM to 7:10 AM, at 7:20 AM, I notified her of the incorrect location, and she reacted rudely before disconnecting. Subsequently, a second driver, Nicholas, arrived 15 minutes later for our trip to the Fort Lauderdale airport. Nicholas opted for local streets instead of the expressway, resulting in us reaching the airport at 9:15 AM, causing us to miss our flight. The expected 8:30 AM arrival for a 7:00 AM Uber reservation failed due to these circumstances. Seeking a refund of the airport ride fare ($51.47), reimbursement for accommodations in Aruba including an extra night stay. This challenging situation, attributed to Uber, calls for appropriate resolution. Had Gertie not canceled and necessitated a new driver, these disruptions could have been avoided.

My recent ride was a nightmare. I was left waiting for over 45 minutes without any communication. The driver seemed lost and confused, circling the airport multiple times and making several wrong turns. It was clear he was unfamiliar with the area and lacked essential tools like an I-Pass for tolls. The ride that should have taken 10 minutes turned into an hour and a half of frustration. I question Uber's screening process for drivers and their readiness to navigate efficiently. If Uber wants to retain me as a customer, I believe a refund would be appropriate considering the ordeal I went through.

I am a frequent Uber user and have had excellent experiences until a recent incident. On Wednesday night, my husband and I encountered a questionable situation with a driver named Miguel Arrioja at [redacted] Center Lake Dr. [redacted], Windmere, FL, [redacted]. Despite feeling uneasy about the lack of official Uber credentials, we proceeded with the ride due to exhaustion and technical difficulties with the app. After initially being quoted $15.95 for a similar trip earlier, the driver charged us $32, which seemed like a scam. Despite handing him a $20 bill, he demanded additional payment via card, resulting in a total of $32. His behavior was unprofessional and deceptive. I believe that he may be operating unlawfully and taking advantage of unsuspecting passengers. I am requesting a resolution to this matter promptly. The incident involved my husband's card, Josh Wheeler. Thank you.

I am concerned about a recent traffic violation involving a school bus and an Uber driver named Matthew Michael Martin from Pinellas Park, FL. The driver had an elderly passenger with dementia who delivers Uber Eats. The safety of school children, pedestrians, and the elderly passenger is at risk due to this driver's repeated traffic violations. The incident occurred on 10/9/[redacted] at 1:56pm, and the driver was cited for not stopping for a school bus. It is troubling to think of the confusion and danger this may cause the elderly passenger. I hope Uber takes action to address this issue. The driver has a history of traffic violations, and I urge authorities to look into this matter for the safety of all involved.

I'm unable to reach a live person through any of the numbers provided. I have tried everything and none of the numbers listed seem to work. This situation is extremely frustrating for me. I purchased a $[redacted] Uber card at Safeway in Keizer, Oregon, and returned it the same day for a refund. However, the store directed me to contact Uber for the refund. I have been attempting to contact Uber for the past week and a half with no success. There is no contact number listed on the card, and I don't have a cell phone due to financial constraints. As someone who is disabled with various health issues and injuries, it is challenging for me to physically go back to the store to resolve this issue. I have the receipt and the unused card, and I really need assistance in getting my money back.

Hello, I am a loyal Uber customer who takes around 30 rides per month. Recently, I have encountered issues with cancellation fees not being refunded and facing unprofessional behavior from drivers. I have noticed discrepancies in how these fees are handled in my bank account compared to what is shown on the app. It's concerning to me that there is no direct customer service available besides email. I have experienced instances where drivers have been rude or refused to drop me at my destination promptly, which has made my rides uncomfortable and sometimes unsafe. I believe Uber needs to address these issues promptly and refund me for the incorrect charges. Sincerely, Andrea O.

On 12/3/18 in Raleigh, NC at approximately 1:20pm, I utilized Uber services. I am seeking a $1.32 refund for a waiting charge incorrectly added to my fare. The designated pick-up location was [redacted] Sunday Drive, but the driver was directed to [redacted] Sunday Drive, causing a delay for which I am being charged. It is important to me that this charge is rectified due to the principle of the matter. I expect Uber drivers to locate the correct address promptly. Similar incidents occurred in Chicago, and I would prefer this not to reoccur. If reliability is compromised, I may have to explore other transportation options. Kindly adjust the fare accordingly. Thank you. - U. Bergren

As a first-time Uber user, I am still getting accustomed to using the app. Recently, I scheduled a ride on my iPhone, but encountered an issue where the initial driver went to the wrong pick-up location and had to cancel the trip. I then requested another ride through the app, which I successfully completed. Upon checking my online banking, I noticed that I was charged for both the cancelled ride and the completed trip. Even though I only see two trips on the app, there were two separate charges on my bank statement. The amount charged for the cancelled ride was higher than the regular cancellation fee. I now have a credit of $5.65 on my Uber app, but my bank was charged $13.28, a difference of $7.63 that I am seeking to be refunded.

I had an unpleasant experience with a driver named sunny in Pittsburgh last Sunday around 1 p.m. Instead of sticking to our agreed meeting point, he called me to confirm my destination. When I informed him that I needed to go to work in Monessen, he responded in an extremely unprofessional manner, using inappropriate language and refusing to take me. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also impacted my ability to get to work as there were no other drivers available. It is important to address his behavior as he does not seem to follow the basic rules of the service by choosing his trips. A very disappointing and frustrating experience overall.

I mistakenly entered my mobile number when trying to use my Uber app, causing an issue where the system thinks I'm creating a new account with the same number. I've spent countless hours trying to resolve this with Uber to no avail. I even deleted the app hoping to start fresh, but the problem persists. At 80 years old and unable to drive, I rely on Uber and desperately need it to work. Please assist me in fixing this so I can access my account and use Uber again.
