I had an issue with an Uber driver who failed to show up at the correct address in Kissimmee, Florida on July 26th. Despite my attempt to contact Uber via email, I did not receive a satisfactory response. Consequently, I contacted my Visa company. Uber now claims I owe money for a ride I had to cancel due to the driver's non-response for 45 minutes. This issue was not my fault but the driver's lack of communication. I have always paid my bills on time and find it unfair to be charged $39 for a service that was not provided. I am requesting Uber to remove the outstanding payment and reinstate me in good standing. I have a good history of paying bills and do not wish to be penalized for a situation beyond my control.

Today, I had a disappointing experience with an Uber Pool ride. The driver was unhelpful and rude when I tried to clarify the pick-up location shown on the map. Despite his attitude, I decided to walk towards his location, but his demeanor did not improve. During the ride, he repeatedly got lost and even dropped me off four blocks away from my destination, insisting it was the correct location based on GPS and the fact that it was a pool ride. I felt uncomfortable and unsafe, especially when he dismissed my concerns and suggested I use Uber X in the future. This experience has made me reconsider using Uber in the future. On the contrary, my recent experiences with Lyft have been positive, with great service and pricing. Today's incident has solidified my decision to switch to Lyft moving forward.

My name was entered incorrectly in the system, causing a mismatch with my bank card details. While my ID and bank card information align, my social security number displays my married last name due to an ongoing divorce without the decree. Additionally, my first and last names are swapped in the system. These discrepancies are preventing me from accessing my account and resolving activation issues, which is further exacerbated by the absence of the phone icon on the app. I am eager to rectify these errors as soon as possible to commence earning income, but I am currently unable to reach any assistance for help.

I want to address a recent issue I had with an Uber driver. When I called the driver, he mentioned he didn't want to go to Gurgaon. I advised him to cancel the trip if that was the case, and he said he would. Shortly after, I received a message saying the driver was near me. Confused, I called the driver to clarify, and he claimed he had cancelled the trip. Later, I received another message confirming the trip cancellation. I am concerned that the driver may be trying to manipulate the system by lingering nearby to avoid having the cancellation attributed to him. This behavior is unacceptable, and I urge Uber to address and prevent such instances in the future. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Rosa Torres. I had a concerning experience with an Uber driver today at 8:35 am. The driver passed by me without stopping at the apartment office as requested. When I tried to contact her, she did not answer, which was frustrating. I attempted to reach customer service but couldn't find a contact number. The app indicated that I was already on a ride with this driver despite not being picked up. Ultimately, I had to use Lyft due to this issue, incurring a charge of $16.25. I kindly request a refund for this inconvenience. The driver's name is Servanda, driving a Hyundai Elantra with the plate number HCF2366. Thank you.

Last night, I requested a ride from Miami Airport Tri-Rail Station to my apartment, less than 2 miles away at [redacted] NW South Tamiami Canal Drive. The driver had difficulty finding the main entrance where I was waiting. She went in the wrong direction, and despite my limited Spanish, I attempted to guide her correctly. The trip ended up being around 17 miles, much farther than usual, costing almost $15 instead of the typical $5 or $6. I am not willing to pay this amount. I suspect the driver either purposely took a longer route for a higher fare, or had trouble following the Uber directions. If I do not receive a response soon, I will dispute the charge on my card. My phone number is [redacted]. Sharolyn T.

I was mistakenly charged for an Uber ride on Oct. 28th at 1:40am supposedly from [redacted] Cherryvale Ave, Appleton, Wisconsin to Tracia Ln in Appleton, Wisconsin. I have never been to these addresses. The car listed was a GM Acadia AAP2566 with the driver named Audrey. However, I was actually in Kaukauna that night and used Uber around 1:47 am on Oct 28th. I cannot be in two places at once. I am concerned about my account information's security. I request a refund for the erroneous ride. How can I ensure my account details are not compromised? Thank you, Tammy H. Contact information: [redacted]

I had a troubling experience with an Uber driver recently. We had a disagreement because he stopped for gas before picking me up, which made me late. Despite his contradicting explanations, I rated him a 1 for his unapologetic behavior. Later, I was shocked to find out I was charged $80 for a mess in the car. Reflecting on it, I suspect he orchestrated the situation given his Uber knowledge. This raises concerns about riders being taken advantage of by drivers like him. It's unsettling that such a driver maintains a high 4.8 rating, making me question if he manipulated the system. I hope this serves as a cautionary tale for others.

I encountered a safety issue with my driver, Sylvanus [7AAL136]. I reached out to him promptly to explain my safety concerns about walking to the pickup spot in the dark. Although I did not receive a response, I reiterated my concerns when he called, and suggested meeting at a well-lit location for my comfort and safety. I'm okay with walking and prefer Uber Express due to my college budget constraints. Unfortunately, when Sylvanus arrived, he became aggressive about the waiting time and did not listen to my safety worries. Feeling uncomfortable, I left the car and suggested he cancel the ride. Safety should be a priority, not a debate on convenience. It's unacceptable for a driver to dismiss safety concerns under any circumstances.

My Uber application is currently under review because of my past criminal record. I want to emphasize that my conviction occurred over 7 years ago, had no victim involved, and led to a violent felony override being granted during my sentencing. My record solely reflects that one unfortunate incident, with no prior or subsequent criminal activity. I've reformed and grown since then, regretful of my actions and striving to be a law-abiding citizen ever since. I believe in second chances and hope for the opportunity to demonstrate my changed ways. If necessary, you can examine the details of my case. I am willing to provide any additional information to showcase my dedication to a better path. Thank you, Robert A.

Hello, I am Noah Mahdi, and I would like to report an incident involving a Uber driver. Yesterday around 5:45, there was an issue at my barbershop, Shine On Gentlemen's Salon & Spa. The driver came in and asked to use the restroom, but when he was told it was not for public use, he responded rudely and used it anyway. When confronted about his behavior, he became aggressive and even attempted to cause harm. We had to involve other people to remove him from the premises, as he had passengers waiting in his car parked at the plaza. I have also reported this to the police and attached a picture of his car for reference. Thank you.

On November 1, [redacted], I attempted to catch an Uber on 7th and I Street NW. The Uber that I booked and four others canceled on me. Even the fifth driver did not stick to the pick-up location as specified on the map and kept me waiting for over 15 minutes. This particular driver, Michael, in a Nissan Maxima with the license plate 25236CG, was not at the right address. I have screenshots of the map and instructions to prove the issue. Despite following the given directions, the drivers canceled, causing me distress. Uber should refund me for the unfair charges incurred during this ordeal.

Good afternoon, I apologize for the confusion. I accidentally requested an Uber today without realizing it. I was in the garage and mistook the driver for my neighbor. I explained the situation to the driver, tipped him, and cancelled the trip. However, I noticed an extra wait fee on my bill after the cancellation. I understand the fees but would like to request that the wait fee be removed since I was present and it was an honest mistake. I also want to commend the driver who handled the situation kindly and professionally. I am gradually getting the hang of using the Uber app and appreciate the service, especially for my elderly mother. Thank you for your understanding, and I will be more cautious with my phone in the future. Have a great weekend. Paddi

At 2 am in Detroit, MI, on November 2, [redacted], we encountered difficulties with Uber. Two rides were canceled, then a driver arrived with a challenging-to-understand accent which led to another cancellation. Despite this, the driver took us to our destination and demanded $20 in cash instead of the $6 ride it should have been. We only had $15, and he did not provide a receipt. I urge Uber to refund the cancellation fees and credit our account for the cash payment. We have previously been loyal customers and never faced such issues. This incident has raised concerns about safety when using Uber in Detroit.

I was recently in India and noticed that I have been double-charged on my US credit card for two rides on November 4th, [redacted]. Despite paying the driver in cash during my trip, I have been billed in USD on my US credit card. I have already updated my phone number to my India one. I am currently in India and would appreciate Uber's assistance in resolving this matter by refunding the USD charges back to my account. I am unable to locate a contact number to reach Uber directly. Your help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have had a promotion on my account for a few months now, offering $5 off all rides in Toronto for both Uber X and Pool. Recently, I noticed it was only applicable to Uber X, whereas it used to include Pool rides as well. I contacted customer service, and they informed me that the promotion was changed to only apply to Uber X. Despite the fact that this is not a new promotion code and had previously worked for Pool rides, they refused to honor it. After a back and forth of nearly a week, my messages are now being ignored entirely. It seems they are intentionally waiting for the promo to expire. I find this shift in service and lack of response to be extremely disappointing. I have been a loyal rider for three years, using Uber daily, so this change is disheartening, especially since I know others who still benefit from the $5 discount on Pool rides.

I, Darryn Blair, have been an Uber Eats driver for a few months and enjoy it. After moving back to Charleston, I tried to go online but realized my account was inactive due to a background check issue related to an old ticket from January. I completed all requirements, attended driving classes, and resolved the matter, resulting in the points being removed from my DMV record. I resumed Ubering until a recent trip to Ohio. Now that I am back in Charleston, my account is inactive once again. Uber Eats is my primary source of income, and I need assistance in reactivating my account to continue driving since my license and insurance are valid.

I attempted to book a ride for tomorrow but couldn't find the option, so I left the website. Later, I received a call claiming I ordered a ride, but I explained I was trying to schedule one for the next day. The person was impolite and hard to understand. Despite trying to clarify, he abruptly ended the call. To my surprise, $17.11 was charged without my authorization on my Discover card. I have reported this to Discover, who will investigate once the charge is finalized. Your app may be challenging for those who are not tech-savvy. I plan to use Lyft for my transportation needs tomorrow to see if it's a smoother experience.

On Saturday, November 3rd, I took an Uber from Milan to Linate Airport, hoping for a regular car but got a large Ford Transit instead. The driver took an unusual longer route to the airport, unlike the options I had found on Google. The fastest route should have been 28 minutes covering 32 kilometers, and the slowest 39 minutes for 17 kilometers. However, the driver chose a path that was approximately 7 kilometers longer and at least 45 minutes, costing me €97.09 rather than the estimated fare. I suspect the driver intentionally prolonged the journey, resulting in a higher fee. This experience has been disappointing, and I am seeking a refund from Uber after seeking advice from my solicitor.

My wife's sister used an Uber under my wife's account in Washington DC on October 27th for a family event. Unfortunately, her cell phone was left in the Uber. We tried contacting the driver, who initially promised to return it but later changed his mind and stopped answering our calls. Despite reporting the incident to Uber and DC Police, no progress has been made in retrieving the phone. We have been informed that this is a common issue with Uber, whereas Lyft holds their drivers more accountable. Given this experience, I am questioning the reliability of Uber and the safety of its services, especially since we often rely on it for our family. I hope that Uber can take appropriate action and show that they prioritize the well-being of their customers.
