Hi, my name is Joseph and about *:**am August **th ****. I had a really really terrible uber problem. I was robbed of $**.** to take an uber from Bayhead to Lakewood terminal in NJ. I got in contact with my driver and he said he was *min out and I can confirm that due to the uber driver map. But he calls me back and said that he is cancelling my ride and having someone else come pick me up instead who was closer. But never did, so I was stranded. I called the police because I didn't have anymore money for my trip there due to him frauding me. I though uber isn't suppose to take money out of someone's account until the ride is completed to the passengers location. Not take money out immediately before the guy even shows up...but apparently that isn't the case anymore. I am highly disappointed in this situation. I called my bank to reimburse me for my rightfully owed $**.** for my incomplete fare. They told me contact y'all in order to make sure that my $**.** doesn't get taken out again from my bank. Oh, the driver BTW his profile is Jerry (Tarek) and the police did a search on his vehicle, license plate and number, all do NOT exist. This guy is a ghost and doesn't have any sort of personal number that can trace. So yes I was robbed and stranded. I finally got home after another legitamet uber driver came by to pick up two other guys, so the cops and myself explained the story and the uber driver who was awesome ended up showing his sympathies toward me and ended up giving me a ride back home for free. Glad to know we still got some good people out there. But if y'all can make sure that I don't get my money taken out again from my account, I would greatly appreciate it. And please make sure app doesn't take money out until the ride is completed not cancelled or incomplete. Thank you!
