Yesterday, on 19.08.[redacted], my mother and I booked an Uber ride from VR Punjab Mall in Chandigarh to 39 West Jujhar Nagar in Mohali at 9:32 pm. The initial amount shown for the ride was Rs. 59. However, upon arriving at our destination, the driver demanded Rs. [redacted], providing no clear explanation for the increase. When we questioned this discrepancy, he became aggressive and started shouting, even resorting to threatening and verbally abusing us. This behavior was completely unexpected from your staff and made us feel unsafe. We urge you to take strict action against the driver, Swaranjeet, whose contact number is [redacted]. Without prompt action, we may have to involve the police and women's cell. We hope for a positive response. Thank you. - NIMISHA GUPTA

On August 19, I took an UberXL from Boston, MA Logan Airport to Hollis, NH with 4 passengers for $[redacted]. Upon arriving home, I tipped the driver and gave a 5-star rating, only to discover an additional charge of $58, bringing the total to $[redacted].49. I received an email alleging that I exceeded the 4-passenger limit, which is incorrect. This experience with Uber has been disappointing, and I am seeking a refund. The driver, Paulo, drove a silver Ford Explorer with Massachusetts plates starting with XSV (not [redacted]% sure). There was no communication from the driver about an extra charge, which I found deceitful. If I had known about the higher total cost of around $[redacted], I would have chosen a different transportation service. This experience was subpar.

I recently experienced a technical issue with Uber where a ride fee was charged to my card two years late. After contacting customer service, I was assured a refund as the mistake was on Uber's end. However, it has been over a week, and I have not received the reimbursement. A new representative informed me they couldn't process the refund. I have screenshots of the initial conversation confirming the reimbursement. This has been an ongoing problem for more than two weeks, and I am seeking urgent resolution. Thank you for your help in advance. - M.

A while ago, while riding with my Uber driver in Austin, TX, we discussed his handicapped friend who missed deer hunting due to being in a wheelchair. I mentioned a hunting blind for wheelchair users and offered his friend a free hunting opportunity. I want to contact the driver, Kenton Thompson, to extend the invitation to his friend. I kept Kenton's name and now wish to surprise his friend with this opportunity. Could you please help me get in touch with Kenton by passing on my email to him? Thank you for your assistance, and I would appreciate any help in connecting with Kenton. Thank you! - S. Martin

I was charged for a ride I never received. I requested an UberX, and upon tracking the driver, I noticed he was going in circles and took over 15 minutes to arrive at the location. Despite being across a busy street at a gas station, he asked me to come to him, which was highly unprofessional given the hot weather in Las Vegas. I opted to cancel and find another ride after this ordeal, which inconvenienced my 8-year-old daughter and me. The experience was unacceptable, especially considering the safety risks involved. While the subsequent driver was pleasant, I firmly believe I should not be charged for the failed trip. I hope this issue can be rectified promptly to continue using the service, or I may consider switching to Lyft.

I placed an order on August 7th for Krispy Kreme donuts, but it was canceled twice without any explanation. The first time it was canceled I was confused, so I reordered from the same place. After checking the order status on the map, I discovered it was canceled again. The amount charged to my bank card was $19.28 initially and then $17.06 after the second cancellation. I have not received any donuts and I want the $17.06 refunded to my bank account. I was informed it could take 3-5 business days for the refund to process. This issue happened on August 7, [redacted].

Hello, I needed to update my vehicle inspection form. The first time, Honda provided their default form, which was rejected by Uber. The second time, I submitted Lyft's form, but it was also rejected because the inspector had not filled out all the required sections, such as company and vehicle mileage. Then I found the "Rasier" inspection form used by Uber, which is similar to Lyft's form and [redacted]% complete, but it was also rejected. Can someone please let me know what is still missing? Thank you.

My wife lost her glasses in an Uber on July 2. We reported it promptly, and the driver later informed us he turned them in at a Greenlight Hub. Due to the distance, we requested the glasses to be mailed, providing our address. Unfortunately, communication then became confusing. After several unproductive email exchanges, we resubmitted the loss through the app. Despite efforts, replies lacked detail and eventually ceased, with the case being closed abruptly. It's been 50 days without any clarity or the glasses. Attempts to access help through the app were frustrating due to technical issues. The experience has been disappointing, making it the worst customer service encounter in my 57 years. Despite our willingness to cover shipping costs and retrieve the glasses, the lack of response and closure by Uber has left us dismayed.

I have approximately 25 unauthorized charges from Uber dating back to May [redacted] that I've been trying to dispute. It's been challenging to reach Uber for assistance. I attempted to call +1-[redacted] but was directed to use email or text, even in urgent situations like an assault. I am frustrated with the lack of human customer support. My phone number is [redacted]. My bank informed me to dispute these charges. If I don't receive a prompt response today, I will escalate the matter. The unauthorized transactions have caused severe issues for me including losing my vehicle, insurance, and almost my children's well-being. I need these disputes resolved immediately. I regret the lack of customer service support with Uber for emergencies, disputes, or general concerns. Sincerely, Shawn L. Email: [redacted]

I am experiencing issues with Uber Eats. Despite not using the service since March of this year, I keep getting charged on my credit card. My credit card company issued a refund for one charge and replaced my card. However, prior to receiving the new card, another Uber Eats charge appeared. The replacement card still hasn't arrived, but I was charged again on it. On August 24th, I saw another charge on a card I haven't even received yet. The fraud department at Capital One is investigating, but they suggest I contact Uber Eats, and I can't find their contact number. This situation is extremely frustrating for me.

My Uber account was compromised, and someone used it to make unauthorized transactions. The charge was made to an old Amex card, and I have already contacted Amex about it. Despite this, I keep receiving emails from Uber Business ([redacted]) regarding failed payments. I cannot find a way to reach Uber to discuss the unauthorized ride. The email content below: Failed Payment on Your Account We're experiencing issues billing the credit card linked to your business account. We suggest contacting your credit card company to ensure they haven't suspected any irregular activity on the card. I booked an Uber to transport my friend to a community organization event. Unfortunately, the driver commented on my friend's odor upon arrival, causing an uncomfortable situation. Despite offering to help freshen up the car, I was shocked to discover a $[redacted] charge labeled as a "bodily fluid" cleaning fee on my Gmail account. Feeling scammed, I suspect the driver assumed they wouldn't receive a tip due to the long drive and possibly my friend's smell. I expressed my disappointment by giving a 1-star review, reporting the incident, and contemplating reaching out to the news station. It's disheartening to think that after spending money to support the community, I fell victim to what seems like a driver taking advantage of the situation. I hope my complaint from last night shedding light on the situation will be investigated thoroughly to prevent such scams in the future.

I have been attempting to sign up with Uber for the past two weeks. Despite a conversation with a representative and multiple attempts to reset my email and password, the issue persists. Even after getting assistance from Marlon D to correct the situation, including merging two accounts and resetting my password, I am still unable to access my account due to an email problem. I have been instructed to re-enter my insurance coverage and registration details but have been unsuccessful due to email issues. I am considering whether it would be best to cancel this account and start fresh from the beginning.

I need assistance with the extra charges on my account. There were three charges, but a refund was issued for only one. These were unauthorized charges on my Mastercard, starting with the first 6 digits as [redacted] and ending in [redacted], with an expiry of [redacted]. The charges were for Uber rides in California and Australia while I was in Canada. Following a thorough investigation, it was discovered that the charges were made on a different Uber account using my payment method. The account responsible has been blocked, and all charges on my card have been refunded. The refund should reflect in my account within a week. It seems that my card was compromised externally. It's advisable to cancel the card immediately and request a new one from my bank for security purposes. Thank you for your help and understanding in resolving this matter. Sincerely, Sandra Walsh

There have been numerous attempts to address my issue, but it seems unresolved. The trip on April 13, [redacted], from Walmart at Coral Springs Turtle Creek Drive to my home at [redacted] NW 5th St Margate, between 11:04 pm and 11:15 pm, was fraudulent. The driver, Luis, fabricated photos and profited from this deceit. I request proof of this trip coinciding with the end of my workday, which was charged to my Capital One Mastercard, ending in [redacted]. Despite explaining the situation, my complaint seems disregarded. I urgently need a resolution as I rely on this service due to my limited income and lack of personal transport. Kindly address this promptly and provide a solution via email. Thank you for your understanding and quick assistance.

After getting off my flight, I opened the Uber app to use a gift card and a promo for my ride. Everything seemed fine until I was prompted to verify the payment. I entered the gift card number, received a message that it was already applied, and then the process halted. In the end, a friend paid for my ride at a higher cost without the promo. I intend to reimburse her. Despite having the promo and gift card on my account, I am feeling disappointed. I have an early airport trip on Thursday at 4 am, and now I lack trust in the app. I would appreciate it if Uber could reach out to address this issue and offer a resolution. At first, I thought the problem was because my phone lacks an email address, but that doesn't add up since the card and promo were successfully loaded without one.

Hello, my name is Joseph. At around 1:20 am on August 26th, [redacted], I encountered a distressing issue with Uber. I was charged $27.20 for a trip from Bayhead to Lakewood terminal in NJ, but the driver cancelled my ride while he was just 3 minutes away, leaving me stranded. This unexpected deduction left me without the means to complete my journey, prompting me to involve the authorities. I believed Uber only charges after the ride is successfully completed, but this incident proved otherwise. Disappointed by this experience, I reached out to my bank to seek reimbursement for the unauthorized charge to prevent it from reoccurring. The driver in question, Jerry (Tarek), seems to have dubious information as the police found no records of his vehicle or license plate. Fortunately, another Uber driver eventually assisted me without charge, restoring my faith in kindness. I kindly request your assistance in ensuring I am not charged again and that payments are processed only upon completion of the ride. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

There is a concerning issue with Uber bookings in Kolkata. Individuals are making unauthorized bookings, possibly using fake credit cards. I came across a person who offered a ride for a much lower fare than what was displayed on the app. However, after completing the trip, I had to pay the actual fare to the driver, leading to unexpected expenses. I realized I fell for a fraudulent scheme and tried to contact the person responsible, but he blocked me. I acknowledge my mistake in trusting a stranger, but I urge Uber to address this problem to prevent others from being deceived. I faced a disappointing situation where I had to pay more than the original fare for a ride. My Uber ID is +[redacted]82.

My son took an Uber from his friend's house home, which is less than half a mile away. 1. The Uber driver claimed he was outside, but when my son went out, the driver was not there, which resulted in a $0.42 "waiting" charge. This charge needs to be removed. 2. There is a $2.40 charge for tolls, surcharges, and fees for such a short ride. Can you please explain this charge? The ride took place on August 26, [redacted], in Merrick for C.G. 3. I noticed multiple charges from Uber on my American Express card. Jamie, Jake, and Colby Gargiulo are also on my family account. Please ensure that only my main account is connected to my American Express card.

I accidentally left my phone in my recent Uber ride on Saturday night. I'm having trouble accessing my Uber account because they require a notification code sent to my phone, which I don't have. Unfortunately, all my account recovery options are linked to my phone, making it challenging to contact the driver. The Uber support via email and phone has not been helpful as they claim my email and phone number are not associated with my account. My phone being dead also prevents me from tracking it. The driver took me to Sandia Casino in a Nissan Altima with License Plate 819WAF. Please contact me at work via [redacted] or phone [redacted].
