I had to wait nearly ** minutes for my ride on Sunday, August **th, although the app said my driver was * minutes away. It only changed when I was told it was * minutes away. I knew there was a bike race in town since I had just volunteered. I ordered the ride rather than walk four miles home because I had developed a blister on the bottom of my foot after I walked TO the site. *I would like to know why: *) the Uber app didn't give me an accurate estimated time of arrival? and, *) why does the Uber navigation app NOT alert the driver to real-time slowdowns so the rider can be notified? Although I was getting a promo discount for this ride, and it's appreciated, I still would liked to have known when to really expect to be picked up. Thank you.
