Hello Uber Support, I am writing again to follow up on my recent issue with a ride request. Yesterday, I encountered a problem where the driver's GPS placed him in the wrong location, causing significant delays. Eventually, I had to find an alternative means of transportation to reach my destination. Even after the initial confusion, I received additional communication from another Uber driver or representative. Despite the situation not resulting in an actual ride, I was unpleasantly surprised to see a $5.00 cancellation fee in my email. I believe this charge is unfair given the circumstances. I kindly request that you review the situation and confirm that no fees will be deducted from my account. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best, Gary D. K.

This is going to be my first Uber ride. I am looking to travel from McKinleyville, CA to the Arcata Transit Center as I missed my bus. I would like to know the cost of the ride, its duration, the estimated arrival time of a driver, and if I can pay using my debit card. Thank you, Valencia J. Linder [redacted]*****0 I was anticipating an email with my Uber pick-up details, but I received a text instructing me to contact "customer service," which was not helpful at all. This initial experience with Uber has me questioning if I will use the service again. I hope I will not be charged for a ride I never took.

It has been a month, and nobody has responded to my account issues. I have an active account but couldn't access it, so I created a new one around the same time I managed to log into the original account. Every time I contact support, they quickly end the chat, promising a specialist will follow up, but I never hear back. It's disheartening to think I might be experiencing discrimination, especially when comparing the quick processing times for two of my white colleagues who signed up recently. They were approved within 48 hours, yet over a month has passed for me without any updates on my background check. I haven't received any report, even though my background remains the same since I first joined Uber. I'm unsure about the delays, but it's frustrating to see the stark difference in processing times.

Hello. As a concerned mother, I have attempted to contact your team regarding the income withholding information for the noncustodial parent, George J. Jones, who works for your company. Unfortunately, I have not received a response to my inquiries. It is crucial that Uber provides this information promptly to facilitate child support payments. My lawyer and I require Uber, not the employee, to send the income withholding details to child support services to address George J. Jones's outstanding child support debt of $90,[redacted]. We request Uber to garnish his wages expeditiously. Both parents should share the responsibility of supporting their child. I urge your prompt attention to this matter. Thank you.

I accidentally left my phone in an Uber ride in St. Louis, MO. The phone has the driver's contact information, which I need urgently. The driver's name might be Larry, and the vehicle was a 4-Door Black F-[redacted] Truck. The ride started at CALECO's Restaurant in Downtown St. Louis and ended at PEAR TREE/DRURY HOTEL at [redacted] Market Street. I can confirm the credit card used for this transaction. Please reach out to me as soon as possible with the driver's contact details. This is urgent as I am in St. Louis for a wedding and departing on Sunday morning, 8/12/[redacted].

I am currently located at 1st Ave and Madison in Seattle trying to contact the driver. However, he directed me to a street that was not visible on my map. Despite walking to 2nd Ave as advised, he insisted the area was closed due to construction, which was not the case as there were cars passing through. The Uber app even displayed multiple cars on 1st Ave. I struggled to comprehend his instructions due to his English, and I began to feel that we would not be able to meet. He failed to give clear directions or a valid reason for not reaching me. I believe I should not be charged for the inconvenience caused to my wife and daughter.

Hello, it was challenging to find the contact information for your company. Unfortunately, I couldn't locate a phone number, but that's alright. Yesterday, my friend and I took an Uber to Soldier Field. We decided to get out of the car halfway there due to heavy traffic causing significant delays. While the driver refunded my money initially, I was surprised to see a charge on my account afterwards. I am puzzled as to why I was charged when I didn't complete the trip and received a refund. The cost of the ride was so high that my friend and I opted to walk instead. Although my bank statement initially showed a refund, it later indicated a charge for the same ride.

Hello Uber Team, I am experiencing difficulties using my promo codes due to a violation noticed in my account. I was surprised to see this as I believe I have not broken any rules. The message in my account states that the use of promotions has been disabled due to a violation of your Terms and Conditions. My ability to use promo codes is currently restricted. I would appreciate it if you could investigate and remove the restriction promptly. Unfortunately, I understand you cannot disclose more information about the violation. I hope you can reconsider once I have placed more orders. Thank you, Hari Prasanth

On August 9th, I requested a pick-up at Whole Foods in Hyde Park, Chicago located at [redacted] S Lake Park. After waiting for an extended period, I contacted the driver who claimed to be waiting out front, but I was already there. Despite explaining the situation and providing the correct address again, the driver insisted she was waiting for me. Eventually, I had to cancel the trip as the driver was not cooperating. The driver admitted she was unfamiliar with the area and solely relied on GPS. This led to a frustrating experience on a hot day. I felt unheard as the driver disregarded my instructions. To top it off, I was overcharged for the problematic ride.

I am consistently receiving trip requests labeled as premium long trips, but they turn out to be short trips. The fare offered for these short trips, such as $2.55 or $2.67, hardly covers the increased cost of gas in my area. I cannot accept these trips anymore. The discrepancy between the trip label and the actual distance is frustrating, as I rely on the expected premium fare for longer trips. I have received five short trips under the guise of premium long trips, and it is no longer sustainable for me. I will politely decline any future trips like this and advise the passenger to request another Uber. I request a discussion regarding this matter to ensure fair compensation for the services rendered. Please reach out to me at [redacted]. Thank you.

I'm new to Uber and recently downloaded the app in good faith. I tried to get a quote for a future ride from Tuxedo Park, NY to JFK Airport, NY. However, the app confirmed a trip without me providing any address or dates. It used my current location on the Long Island Expressway and my base in Tuxedo Park. I quickly messaged the driver within a minute to correct this mistake and was only responded to after several minutes. I explained the error and the driver canceled the trip. Why am I being charged a cancellation fee for a trip that was never coordinated? I request a credit for this fee as no trip was confirmed in the first place.

Early on Friday morning in Boston, MA, an unfortunate incident occurred involving an Uber driver named Simon Wisler hitting my car. I have his details and have been diligently trying to file a claim since. Despite him admitting fault to the police, I am facing the possibility of losing my job due to the car being inoperable. My insurance company stated that he should cover a rental for me to continue working. After spending hours on the phone attempting to reach Uber without success, I am left feeling frustrated and worried about my job security. Please provide me with a direct phone number to accelerate this claim process before I face unemployment. Thank you.

I was charged $5.00 for a cancelled pick-up on 8/13/18. The driver did not arrive, and Uber cancelled the ride at 12:27 pm. I was waiting at the main entrance of the Virginia Hospital Center, [redacted] George Mason Drive, Arlington VA [redacted], heading to [redacted] Lee Highway in Arlington. Despite waiting outside for a while and being partly disabled, the correct car did not appear. The pick-up location on the email receipt is incorrect, stating 8[redacted] Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA, which is far from the hospital. I am requesting a refund of the $5.00 charge and possibly a gesture of goodwill for the inconveniences caused while waiting outside with a cane, ultimately having to take a Red Top cab.

I need assistance regarding a cleaning fee of $[redacted].00 charged on my ride on Aug 13, [redacted]. The images provided as evidence show different details from my ride - the leather is grey not tan, and they don't display the scuffed upholstery on the rear driver's side or the sharpie marking on the back of the headrest on the front passenger side. Additionally, the addresses in the pictures are incorrect. I commute with Uber daily to my job at a utility company, and security footage from there can confirm my entrance to the vehicle. I have sent this information to Uber with pictures, but I haven't received any acknowledgment or communication from them.

During my recent trip to the Czech Republic, I encountered connectivity issues while requesting an Uber ride. Despite multiple attempts, I was unable to connect with the driver, resulting in cancellation fees. Although I reported the problem and received a credit to my Uber account, I later discovered it was unusable upon returning to the USA. The international network connectivity problem made it impossible to utilize the credit. Therefore, I kindly request a refund for the cancellation fee that was charged to my credit card. Best, L. Skidmore.

I need assistance with a billing issue on my account. I was incorrectly charged $6 twice for pickups at addresses that are not mine. The driver advised me to cancel the pickups. I have disputed these charges and it seems like I will be credited for one, but I am uncertain about the other charge. My intention was to set up an account for future use, not to schedule immediate rides. I am also curious if I will still receive the credit for my first ride when I do decide to schedule one. Additionally, I would like to know if it is possible to schedule a ride in advance for a future pickup that is several days away.

I am disappointed with the lack of a contact number for a multi-billion dollar company like yours. It is concerning that one of your drivers, Joshua, is soliciting rides directly using a business card with his personal phone number instead of going through the app. This not only bypasses your platform but could also be illegal if he is not properly licensed as a taxi driver, which involves specific costs and inspections. Joshua's phone number is [redacted], and although he operates in Emerald Isle, NC, his business card suggests the Raleigh, NC area. I will be reporting this behavior to both the police department in Emerald Isle and to Uber. I expect Uber to address this issue promptly and take appropriate action to prevent such unauthorized activities. - Vic Berthold

I emailed them for help in signing up for a rider account, and they replied with instructions on downloading the Uber rider app on iOS devices. After verifying my iCloud password, I encountered a blank screen and couldn't see some apps. I wonder if the screen with the apps takes time to reappear after password verification. Any insights would be appreciated. Thank you. -Sara

On Sunday, August 12th, I experienced a delay of nearly 15 minutes for my Uber ride. The app initially stated that my driver was 3 minutes away, but it only updated to 2 minutes when I was eventually picked up. I had chosen to order a ride instead of walking four miles home due to a blister on my foot from walking to the location where I had been volunteering at a bike race. I am curious as to why the Uber app did not provide an accurate estimated arrival time and why the navigation app did not alert the driver about real-time delays to keep me informed. Despite receiving a promo discount for the ride, I value being informed about the actual pickup time. Thank you.

Dear Uber, I am reaching out once again to address my situation with you. I feel like my concerns are being addressed in a robotic manner, overlooking the importance of hearing the customer's perspective. To explain my side, I was falsely accused of drinking alcohol and vomiting in the car during a trip. Despite my immediate response denying these claims and providing evidence of my work schedule to prove I was tired after work and the trip was short, I was met with photos that seemed staged by the driver to fabricate the issue for financial gain. I expressed my belief that this was all a scam, but it feels like my voice as a customer has been disregarded in favor of the driver's side. I responded promptly within the time frame given, and I am kindly requesting an Uber gift card as a gesture of goodwill to maintain the service excellence I have experienced until this incident. I hope my case will be reviewed and resolved appropriately. Thank you.
