Hi, I have been an Uber part-time driver for * plus months now. I love the convenience of being able to drive when I want and I appreciate the service you have created. I do have some issues which I would like to share in the hope that my voice is heard and perhaps my complaints will be acknowledged and addressed. So far I have a near perfect rating. I am an excellent driver, I keep a clean car and I engage my customers. That said, there are basically no incentives for part-time drivers. Rides to the city are longer which means a higher rate but getting out of the city, back into earnings territory, takes a long time. There should be a "city" bonus paid to drivers that make that trek. Uber should also work into the payment formula time spent on the road. If I have to travel a great distance to get to a ride, there should be compensation. If there is low demand, I should not be penalized. I am making myself available to make your service appealing as an "on demand" service. I believe that people like me are the core of your business and that you should want to encourage and maintain our employment. Most nights I earn between $**-$** an hour less gas and*mileage costs. Some nights I make less. That's not a terrible wage but it could be better. I would love to continue driving but if I don't make what I consider to be a worthwhile wage, I won't continue. I am a loyal, professional, hard-working employee and Uber would be losing a valuable employee. I just wanted to share my thoughts. I am not opposed to Uber making a healthy profit-you created an outstanding service but your employees are important assets too and should be made to feel that their efforts are worth it.
