On May **th, I emailed your company, only to learn that the email you have on file may be inoperative. If that’s the case, I’m trying this route and will continue to contact you until you advise something has been done. ***As a regular user of Uber, I wanted to pass on this information in relation to one of your drivers, and this reflects poorly on your comapny.**On today’s date at approximately *:** PM, I was at Louisville International Airport, *** Terminal Drive, Louisville KY, and had come outside to the LYFT*UBER pickup zone to request a ride. I was attempting to order an Uber, when a vehicle pulled into the clearly marked curbside area designated for Uber (as there is also one indicated for Lyft). The four-door silver Chevrolet Impala with an Ohio license plate number of FWY**** was driven by a black male, who parked, turned off the engine and emerged from the vehicle with a female passenger. As he proceeded to walk away from the car, I guess I was giving an incredulous expression as the area is only for Uber and despite this, as far as I know according to airport regulations, no driver is supposed to leave his or her vehicle* they are only supposed to use the zones for pickup. But this individual was strolling into the terminal - no luggage was visible. **When he saw my expression, he snapped, “You got a problem? I’m a UBER driver.” I just shrugged as he continued on his way with his companion.**First off, as I stated, I believe he was in violation of airport regulations. Regular drivers cannot even leave their vehicles or park on the curbside to wait for someone. I don’t believe either Uber or Lyft have any special dispensations. Second, due to his rudeness, I immediately shut off my Uber app and requested your competitor instead. The last thing I needed was for him to respond to my request because my ride would have been uncomfortable to say the least. Third, if his temperament is this quick to anger or sarcasm with a possible passenger (remember, I was standing near the zones which meant I was calling for a car or waiting for a car), he is a poor representative. **I realize there is little to be done, but I wanted to make you aware that it is a driver like this, taking advantage of being an Uber driver, that will ruin what all ride shares have worked very hard to accomplish. Do you recall how - for years - your company had to struggle against taxicab companies, etc. because you were refused pickup and dropoff permission at airports, cruise ports, etc.? If individuals like this rude driver continue to misuse this, it won’t be long before cities will start to come down on you again.**Thank you in advance for your time. I am still a loyal Uber user, but believe me, this incident was a sour moment.**Sincerely,*Ms. E. Bennett
