I have recently received information about my upcoming retirement and have some questions. I need clarification on the exact amount I will be receiving from the post office considering my military time. Additionally, there are 4 years of Airforce time from 5/71-10/75 that were not included in my records. I would like to know if these years can be added or if it is not necessary. I noticed discrepancies in my annual leave hours; as of 03/07/17, it should have included [redacted] more hours. Will I be compensated for my sick and annual leave, or do I need to use my sick time before retiring? I am also curious about the timeline of the retirement process. This relates to Glenn W. Jenkins at [redacted] Poplar Way SW Atlanta, GA [redacted], RSC: Q, Grade/Step: 02/N, Retirement Type: Optional.

I am Sheila, a former rural carrier on disability retirement, facing payment issues this month. I was informed that I failed to return a survey, but I did submit it. I received two conditional job offers for the same position, each with different job codes. I accepted the first offer but the link in the second email allows me to accept that one and decline the first. I want to ensure I'm accepting the right offer with the correct link. Today, I got a reminder email for the offer with the job code from the second email. Should I ignore this recent offer that came an hour after I accepted the first one for the same position and location, just with different numbers at the end?

Around June 1st, I filled out the Pre-employment screening authorization and Release form along with the Supplemental Questionnaire for Selected Positions online. I thought I had digitally signed them and even received a confirmation message. However, on June 16th, I was notified via email that the forms were missing and was given 72 hours to resubmit. Today, I received another email stating the same issue with a 48-hour deadline. I have now completed hard copies of the forms, but I am unsure where to send them. I am feeling overwhelmed and frustrated after putting in a lot of effort to reach this stage. I attempted to contact the provided phone numbers but haven't received assistance. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

My FMLA request was denied as I was in Germany on vacation and missed the deadline unknowingly. Now, HR mentions that management can submit a new request for a valid reason, while management claims they do not deal with FMLA cases. I have been part of the Mt. Holly office for 12 years, but having taken 5 sick days in a year, I am facing potential disciplinary measures. I have been diagnosed with aura migraines impacting my vision and motor skills, which I believe should be considered. I appreciate any help. - James L. G.

I recently called out sick for 3 days in August and submitted the necessary paperwork filled out by Dr. F. After returning from a 3-week vacation overseas, I found a denial and a request for more information in my mailbox. Upon contacting HR, I was advised to have my doctor provide additional information and fax it over. However, when I followed up, I was informed that the case had been closed and could not be reopened. HR suggested involving the tax coordinator to resolve the issue, while management claimed they were not responsible for FMLA matters. This situation has been challenging, especially after my postal vehicle was recently hit and I was criticized for seeking medical clearance. Despite being scheduled for a doctor's review on September 6th, it seems unclear how to proceed. I have always prioritized health and safety, influenced by my military background, and the support mainly came from customers on my route rather than management. I appreciate any guidance you can offer.

I applied for the PSE Sales & Services Distribution Associate position in Bellevue, NE and received an email on 8/28/[redacted]. The next day, I completed the Virtual Job Tryout Assessment as instructed. After submitting it, I filled out a survey about the experience. However, there has been no feedback on the results or any follow-up assessments. On Sept 14th, I was told I missed the timeline for the assessment and am no longer considered for the position, which is now closed. I used my personal laptop at the library to complete the test, so I'm unsure if my submission got lost. I never received information about any additional assessments. It doesn't seem fair to be disqualified without further clarification. I hope for assistance to resolve this matter. Thank you. Best, Linda G.

My coworker and I are experiencing issues with our supervisor at our workplace. He is displaying abusive behavior by enforcing rules selectively, issuing threats, and not adhering to the same standards he imposes on us. Despite numerous complaints and reports against him, the situation remains unresolved. He disregards policies like the lunch break timing, enforces uneven rules for obtaining correct footwear, and even disallows shoes approved by USPS. Our attempts to seek help from our union, management, and facility managers have not yielded any results. I am looking for guidance on how to report his abusive conduct to authorities outside of the USPS establishment. Additionally, I am curious if there is a process in place to investigate his actions and have him reassigned to a different role within the organization.

Hello, I need help verifying employment details for a former US Post Office employee in Lynwood, CA. When our client contacted [redacted], option 5, they were provided with employment dates of 08/20/[redacted]-04/22/[redacted] and the job title of City Carrier. However, our attempts to verify this information were unsuccessful. Keisha mentioned that verifying this was impossible and advised us to send a request to Civilian Records at the National Personnel Records. Following this, we received feedback stating no Military records were found, as the records of employees who have been gone for two years are moved to St. Louis. Despite this, Keisha did not have any further assistance to provide. I am puzzled as to why our client could obtain this information while we were met with a different response. Kindly include SID #[redacted] in all future communication. You can reach me at [redacted]. Thank you.

Hello, My name is Kanwal Roop Singh Sandhu. I had a successful interview and accepted the job offer for TRACTOR TRAILER OPERATOR in ALLEN PARK MI (NC[redacted]4 NB[redacted]3). I completed the hiring process, including fingerprints, background check, and DOT drug test, on October 15th, [redacted]. I'm reaching out because there seems to be an issue with my name in the system, hindering my orientation. Despite contacting HR Specialist Wanda Rogers, who couldn't locate my name and directed me to HRSSC Greensboro, NC, no resolution has been found. I turned down offers in Pontiac, Detroit, and Toledo to work in Allen Park due to its proximity to my home. I eagerly anticipate joining the team and starting work. Any updates on my status would be appreciated. Thank you. Kanwal Roop Singh Sandhu

I worked at USPS in Prince Frederick, MD from January [redacted] to July [redacted]. Recently, I accepted a new position that was closer to home by signing an offer letter that required me to resign my current job. However, on a Sunday when I was the last carrier to return at 4:30 pm, the postmaster unexpectedly informed me that I was being fired for being too slow without any prior warnings. I was also not given a proper explanation for not getting the position I was offered. Even though I have been offered other positions at the post office, I am being flagged as 'do not hire' after submitting my paperwork. I am seeking clarification on these matters so I can potentially return to work at USPS. Thank you. - S.M.

I felt intimidated, harassed, and bullied by the postmaster. He cornered me in my office, pointed his finger at me, and blocked the doorway, not allowing me to leave. There were no verbal threats, but his actions and demeanor aimed to intimidate and assert dominance over me. I was afraid for my health and safety. Despite asking him to leave repeatedly, he continued to advance into the room, blocking my exit. My office is small, without windows, and with only one door, making me uncomfortable in his presence. I now feel the need to be cautious at all times. I have documented the incident, spoken with a Postal Inspector, who suggested contacting HRSSC for further assistance. This message serves as that contact.

Hello, I am Joy Thompson. I recently applied for the City Carrier Assistant position in Chattanooga, TN. I completed the online assessment yesterday morning, and it has been showing as "processing" since then. Usually, I would expect to know immediately if I passed to schedule the 2nd assessment at the testing center. I'm concerned as there is a 7-day deadline to complete both assessments. I am very interested in this position. When I applied about 6 months ago, I didn't get the chance to do the assessment, and now it shows as expired. I hope you can help me with this. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I am looking forward to your response. Joy Thompson

I work as a rural carrier in [redacted] and am concerned about the behavior of our postmaster towards the clerks. The atmosphere in the office has become tense due to the berating and harassment witnessed by both employees and customers. A recent incident involving a new trainee being mistreated led me to address the issue with the postmaster, suggesting more positive communication methods. Unfortunately, the situation worsened, leading to the trainee resigning. This ongoing problem has resulted in other clerks transferring and new hires leaving due to the hostile work environment created under the current management. As a loyal employee since [redacted], I fear our office is heading towards self-destruction if this behavior continues unchecked. Any assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Contact me at [redacted]. Iona Wakefield.

I needed to update my driver record on my USPS profile after a recent accident. Despite not having been in an accident for the past 20 years, I mistakenly marked "No" when asked about accidents in the last five years. The other driver struck my vehicle while improperly changing lanes, causing significant damage and a loss of control resulting in a total loss of my car. Thankfully, I only sustained a small cut on my arm. The responsible driver accepted fault, was cited by the Chandler Police Dept., and their insurance compensated for my car. Despite no fault on my part and a clean driving record for over 12 years, USPS Human Resources notified me that I was now ineligible for any driving positions due to my updated record. I have resubmitted my profile with clarified details as a City Carrier applicant in Mesa, AZ, and hope to have my eligibility reassessed promptly to avoid any issues with my application in Gilbert. Thank you for your support. Jahanna B. Chandler, AZ [redacted] Email: [redacted]

Dear Sir/Madam, I am Bela Miski from Hungary. I am considering relocating to the USA in the future to be closer to my relatives and friends in California. After exploring the USPS website and watching informational videos online, I find USPS to be appealing. Having previously worked at RoyalMail in the UK, I have experience in mail distribution center operations. Travelling is not an issue for me, and I am willing to attend a job interview promptly. I have already set up an account on the USPS careers page; all that remains is to book a time slot. Would it be possible for me to secure a position at USPS? I would be ecstatic if this opportunity is available to me. Thank you for your attention, and I eagerly await your response. Sincerely,

I am reaching out on behalf of United Southern Bank Trust Department regarding the recent passing of Gary Albert Passmore in [redacted]. We have been appointed Power of Attorney for his widow, Tuk Yun Passmore. The family had been handling affairs until our recent appointment. It has come to our attention that Mr. Passmore had medical insurance through BCBS via USPS. We are working to gather all assets for Ms. Passmore's trust. I am Ken Carpenter, Senior Trust Officer, and I am working alongside Carol Kessinger, Trust/Operations Administrator. We urgently need to discuss reactivating the medical insurance, as we were informed it lapsed due to nonpayment, leaving Ms. Passmore without coverage. She is a US citizen of Korean descent with limited English proficiency. Please contact us at [redacted] or [redacted] Thank you for your help.

I am frustrated with HRSSC because it's unjust to wait a year to switch my healthcare plan from Self Plus One to Single. I am struggling financially due to this situation, as I am paying for a plan I did not want. Being stuck in this plan affects my budget and forces me to dip into my retirement savings to cover the expenses. It's unfair to deny my request for a change, especially when facing financial hardship. I have reached out to my Congressman, AARP, and ACLU to advocate for a change in this policy that causes employees unnecessary hardship by not allowing timely healthcare plan adjustments.
