I flew from FLL to EWR yesterday on United Airlines flight ***** which departed at *:**pm.**I was taken by wheelchair, which I do on all my flights, as I’m unable to walk far and have difficulty with stairs.**I always have TSA Pre and this includes yesterday. I walked through the security machine and gave my bottle of water to the chair attendant because I am diabetic. I’ve never had a problem with that but no sooner did I go to resume sitting in the wheelchair, I was told to stand at the side, to remove my sneakers, to be patted down by a young woman. When I asked for this to be done in a less public area because everyone passing through was staring at me, I was told that I’d have to walk over without my sneakers on. **I also asked why I was pulled aside and she said that the wheelchair rang...which I didn’t hear. If the chair was the issue and I walked through the security machine without an alarm going off, why didn’t they check out my chair?!***I finally just asked her to do the patting down where I was standing. I asked to face away from the public but was told that I couldn’t. **The tsa agent touched me inappropriately* I spread my legs and her hands went all the way up to my crotch! **I am a ** year old senior with TSA preapproval yet I was forced to undergo such a terrible experience! **I’m the first one to understand and appreciate safety when I travel but this ** minute experience should never have happened and your TSA agent overstepped. There was no outgoing message menu option to voice this complaint so I’m writing to you to determine how we proceed.
