My husband and I went to the post office to get fingerprints taken for an FBI background check. My husband is not a us citizen. The person at the counter refused to accept his foreign passport and green card and insisted we provide her with a us passport, which he obviously does not have. My husband was upset but polite and insisted she took his green card as identification. Someone in line behind us then got in my husband's face and told him he wasn't acting the way people from his country are meant to act, and then made fun of the way he was dressed. Nothing was done about it. We asked to speak to a supervisor but she refused to get one. She eventually did take his finger prints. When she did, she told him he hadn't placed his fingers correctly on the scanner. He asked if we should rescan them. She told him "it's not my problem if the FBI accepts these or not." We were charged fifty dollars each and my husband still hasn't even received an email confirmation that the FBI has received his prints. It's been two weeks. I've complained multiple times to USPS and have tried my local post office but can't get through. I am ******* livid. I want my money back, but I also want that member of staff gone. We're going through a visa process for me to get residence in my husband's country and this lady being a jackass has potentially delayed us by months. She was rude and discriminatory.
