Help with my US Postal Service issue

On September *, I received a package from Japan, but I was not at home and could not receive the package. I made a request to pick up from the internet to the post office. On the **th, and then I went to the nearest post office to pick up, but clerk was said that I had already returned to Japan due to the mistake of the staff. I was not convinced and called customer service. The clerk told me that my baggage was still in New York and send it back to my home tomorrow. The number she issued at that time was ********. But the baggage didn’t arrive the next day. And after I called customer service, my tracking number **************** stopped searching. I called customer service again. Then the other clerk said the baggage had already been returned to Japan according to the system. One week has passed, but my baggage has not yet arrived in Japan. And according to the tracking number issued in Japan, my baggage is still in the US. The post office staff and customer service staff are all saying too differently. I can't use my tracking number, so I don't know where my luggage is. Please clarify and tell me where my baggage is now. Please deliver the package responsibly. It's very troubled. If the baggage is not safe, you must reimburse.
