Once again, our carrier did not finish his route on Monday, *-**-**. The same thing happened again the next day on Tuesday. Due to the cold, there is no mail delivery on Wednesday and Thursday. There will be an overload of mail to be delivered on Friday. I can highly expect that the carrier will not be able to get to my subdivision before quitting time since we are last on his route. That means ONE WEEK without mail delivery! We love our carrier... and he feels terrible when he can't finish his route because his boss pulls him off. It seems to me that when this happens, the next day, the mail carrier should start the day with the route that wasn't finished the previous day. Then he can go back to the beginning of his route. Yes, it will cost him a little travel time. But it certainly is not fair to have this happen more than one day at a time. This same thing happened the first or second week of December, ****. I cannot even talk by telephone to anyone in the Elkhart office because the phone immediately goes to voice mail with a recording that says "the mailbox is full" for the person I am trying to reach. I didn't even select any prompts. I just dialed (***) ***-****. By the way, more than one family from our subdivision has been to the post office to address this problem in person. If our carrier's boss does not think this is a problem, maybe he should be replaced.
