I recently sent a package with EMS Express from Russia to the US. Upon the package clearing customs, it was shipped to Chicago for further distribution. At the Chicago distribution center, there was a "delivery attempt" made at a completely incorrect address (different ZIP code and city than the one I was sending to), after which the package was immediately turned around and sent back to me, without any sort of grace period for the addressee to realize something went wrong and have the chance to call in, get it forwarded, or even go to the post office themselves and pick it up by hand.**I frankly find this to be completely ridiculous as I will now have to pay money for the return shipping, and the recipient will be without the package, which was a Christmas gift. I have no idea why someone would do this except as a way to cut down on their own workload by simply refusing to process a parcel, which I suppose they did, but they also completely ruined someone's Christmas and will now end up costing me another $** to reship the item. **Tracking number EE*********RU**How do I want this resolved: For USPS to figure out who turned the package around and to reimburse me for the additional fees associated with paying for return shipping, and re-shipping the item to the recipient a second time over.
