Help with my US Dept. of Treasury issue

Trying to get someone to get the SSA check back to my moms account! Or talk to someone. Or get someone to answer the phone. Or stop the recording every ** seconds that tells me to continue to hold!!! ... My mom passed away on Aug. *th. As I thought was required, I notified the SSA who then notified her bank (Chase). Here's the problem. The bank received her July SS benefit check which should be paid per the rules set out by the SSA and Chase returned it to the Treasury Dept saying the recipient had passed away. I called Chase to tell them she was alive in July and was due that check but they said to call the Treasury Department. I have been on hold now for * hours and ** minutes and have lost all patience. Please someone help me get this back as it is needed for her funeral expenses.
My sister has already paid for my moms funeral expenses and this would help defray those costs. She is not rich and it's not right for her to swing this expense because a bank screwed up!
I want another check sent to the bank OR to me!!

I hung up after *.* hours and called back. It was about ** minutes before I was connected so the original call was screwed up somehow. They punted this to the SS Administration and said I needed to fill out Form ****. I don't know if the **** form is going to be correct but at least I'm not on hold anymore.
