I have heard that you can receive a complimentary $5 gift from the U.S. Treasury Department on your birthday by visiting the office and requesting it. I'm currently trying to verify this information before going in person, but reaching someone at the Treasury Department has been challenging. I reside in Atlanta, Georgia, where there is a local treasury office, but reaching them by phone has proven difficult as well. If you could help confirm this for me by contacting the relevant office, it would be greatly appreciated. You can reach me via email at [redacted]

I recently received a call stating that I qualified for a $[redacted] grant from the US Federal Grant program. The caller provided me with a number to reach the US Treasury Dept at [redacted] ext. [redacted], where I spoke to Mrs. Kim Anderson. She instructed me to deposit $[redacted] into the US Treasury Department and assured me that the amount would be returned to me along with the $[redacted] grant. I was given an activation code of AR169USG. I am concerned if this is a legitimate opportunity or a potential scam as I am about to pursue my Master's Degree in Child Psychology. Your prompt assistance is greatly appreciated.

I’m confused as to why $[redacted] was deducted from my payment to the Army & Air Force Exchange for $[redacted] without any notification. This deduction was made without my knowledge. Where was the Treasury Department when I was scammed out of $5,[redacted] in March? A dishonest company deposited the money into my bank account, but then the check was fake. This incident left me unable to pay my bills. Why doesn't the Treasury Department investigate these scam companies? It seems they are quick to find me for issues like the $[redacted] deduction but not the actual scammers.

I have a student loan that has been garnished for the past few years. I recently received a letter from the Department of Education advising that collection activity on the loan has been suspended from January [redacted] to May [redacted]. This means I am not obligated to make any voluntary payments, including through my tax return. I want to address this as my taxes have been garnished two years in a row. I am also in the process of filing for a total and permanent disability discharge due to my diabetes.

About 3 years ago, I fell victim to a scam originating from Nigeria. William Tom contacted me claiming that I would receive $1.5 million in my account through the country, Benin. I paid $[redacted] for taxes as instructed, but now he insists that an additional $10,[redacted] is needed for international transfer tax papers, claiming $[redacted] is left to be paid. I need to confirm if this is indeed a scam and if so, take action to report it accordingly.

I contacted the IRS today to inquire about inheritance taxes and spoke with an agent named McDonough with ID [redacted]87. I was taken aback by her rudeness. The call started with poor connection, and when I mentioned the problem, she seemed bothered. Despite this, I tried to communicate and answer her questions. However, she made a snide remark implying I was lying about the call quality. When I called out her behavior, she made a condescending comment about taxpayers. Requesting to speak with a supervisor, she claimed none were available and transferred me to a line stating assistance was limited to tax season. It seems there is a lack of oversight in place. Thankfully, the calls are recorded. I made the call on Friday, May 11, [redacted], at 12:52 PM.

I have struggled with uncertainty since the young age of seven. There are about 50 different forces at play, with 11 causing me particular concern. I perceive a sense of Natural Selection guiding biological beings, and I find myself adopted into this framework, with a perceived influence of 0.3. Adding 0.3 to 11 gives me a total of 11.3. When multiplied by 2, it equals 22.6, or mathematically speaking, [redacted].4. Additionally, I include another 25, totaling [redacted].0. This mathematical reflection occurs under the influence of the Natural Selection Force within me, possibly causing fear in others. Recently, I observed an ambulance that could have potentially carried injured or deceased individuals, a sighting I've encountered several times in recent months. Although unconfirmed, evidence suggests the disappearance of individuals. Utilizing mathematics, it appears that white females are primarily affected, with men also possibly involved. It is disheartening to consider one may be subject to unjust consequences without accountability for those responsible. Enduring such suffering for over 30 years prompts me to contemplate the idea of divine punishment for those involved in such actions. Despite the uncertainty, it is crucial to address these issues to prevent further harm to innocent individuals.

I have been trying to get my tax refund for the past six months. I was instructed to contact you, but I am unsure of the correct phone number. My refund was mistakenly deposited into the wrong account. Despite numerous attempts and over [redacted] calls, the IRS informed me that the bank has not returned the check. After ongoing tracers and communication with my bank's ACH department, they have mentioned that there has been no response to their Letter of Indemnity from you. As a disabled veteran on a fixed income, I am in need of assistance in resolving this issue promptly.

My name is Phillip Haglock, a United States Marine Veteran utilizing my Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill. On July 31, I successfully certified my days and updated my direct deposit details to a new bank. Unfortunately, a payment of $[redacted].00 was mistakenly transferred to my closed PNC account instead of the newly provided one. After contacting PNC, they returned the funds to the U.S Treasury. I urgently appeal for assistance in reissuing the payment to my updated direct deposit at BOFI FEDERAL BANK. This oversight isn't my responsibility, and my imminent car bill payment is in jeopardy, which is crucial for accessing school. Kindly help rectify this issue promptly as advised by the Education specialist. Your prompt attention is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I received a phone call stating that I was granted $9,[redacted] and was given two access codes for two installments to collect at the nearest Western Union. They described an activation process where I needed to provide $[redacted] to activate the card using a Google Play card. When my checking debit card was declined for unknown reasons, I questioned if there was an alternative method to transfer the money but was told it had to be through a third party. This made me hesitant to continue. Can someone advise if this is a scam or not? Thank you.

I would like to inquire about the possibility of an offset on my tax returns. I previously contacted regarding potential offsets and was informed there was a small amount owed to the State of Oregon but no offset for the Department of Education. However, it now appears there is an offset. I filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which was discharged on 12-31-[redacted]. Despite this, I received a letter from the Department of Education dated 01-23-[redacted] stating the debt was not part of the bankruptcy and requested payment arrangements. After contacting the collections department, Bass and Associates, I was informed of a certification sent for tax offset dated 01-19-[redacted], prior to their letter. I am requesting sufficient time to arrange payment before any offset occurs, as I am facing financial challenges and had filed for bankruptcy to address them. Planning to use my tax returns for upcoming surgery on 03-13-[redacted] and to improve my financial situation, I kindly ask for assistance in this matter. Thank you. -R.R.

I'm having trouble reaching out regarding a debt I allegedly owe to the government due to an error while working at the postal service. Two different statements with different amounts were sent to me, stating I owe money. When attempting to contact them, I've been unsuccessful. I received the first notice at the end of January and wanted to explain I intended to pay from my tax refund but couldn't get a response. Now, it's affecting my credit, although I reached out to make arrangements once I receive my tax refund. It's frustrating to owe money yet not be able to discuss the issue despite my efforts to do so. Every time I call, a message about technical difficulties plays.

My mother passed away on August 7th. I followed the necessary steps and informed the Social Security Administration (SSA), who then notified her bank, Chase. The issue arose when Chase received her July SS benefit check, which by SSA rules should be paid out. However, Chase returned the check to the Treasury Department declaring the recipient deceased. I contacted Chase to explain that my mother was alive in July and entitled to that payment, but they advised me to reach out to the Treasury Department. I've been waiting on hold for 3 hours and 45 minutes now, and my frustration has reached its limit. I urgently need assistance in retrieving this payment for my mother's funeral expenses.

I receive my SSI payments through Comerica bank on a Direct Express debit card. Unfortunately, I have encountered multiple issues with missing payments and difficulties reaching customer service. Despite activating a new card and receiving my December payment, my January payment has not arrived. The lack of communication from Comerica is causing me significant distress, as I have bills to pay and I am facing eviction. The situation has left me feeling helpless and without a means to resolve the problem. I urge the Treasury Department to reconsider allowing Comerica to handle SSI funds due to the challenges faced by beneficiaries like myself. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Moreover, I am facing issues with missing funds, totaling over $3,[redacted], which have not been resolved despite repeated attempts and proper procedures followed. I need help with a dispute regarding my SSI payment that I did not receive on Friday, January 31st. It was sent to my old closed Chase account, and I have been unable to locate it. I am asking for assistance in receiving an emergency payment of $[redacted], my monthly benefit amount. Thank you, Tamira B., [redacted]91.
