Have access to my money ... there was a hold placed on my accounts back in March due to suspected fraud. There was some worry about possible account takeover. I understand that your company is doing it's job in protecting me as a customer*consumer however I have called several people and Departments, I have done everything *asked of me to prove my identity short of physically walking in to a local branch as that would be impossible due to me currently being physically incapacitated and have yet to gain access to my monthly SSI Retirement payment. Which by the way is FEDERALLY PROTECTED AGAINST ACCOUNT FREEZES AND*OR GARNISHMENTS. I'm am now facing eviction and all of my utilities are getting shut off. After contacting the CFPB and having gained some knowledge in regards to the Americans with Disabilities Act, (Title II & Title III), and being informed AGAIN that my money that's direct deposited monthly is A PROTECTED BENEFIT PAYMENT, do not feel that there has been any effort in making any reasonable accommodations to policy or procedures, that would afford me the same rights as the general public to the full and equal enjoyment of the goods and services contractually promised me by US Bank. **TITLE II OF THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT covers:**Public Accommodations and Services Operated by Private Entities.* *TITLE III OF THE ACT: **The Act contains general and specific categories of prohibited discrimination. Among the general categories of discrimination specified in the legislation are:*** denying individuals the opportunity to participate in or benefit from the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages or accommodations furnished by a covered entity*** providing an opportunity that is less effective than that provided to other citizens* and** providing an opportunity that is different or separate, unless such action is necessary to furnish the affected individual with an opportunity that is as effective as that provided to other (non-disabled) *citizens.**Other categories of discrimination mentioned in Title III of the Act are:* ** denial of participation* ** participation in an unequal program or benefit* ** provision of a separate benefit or program* ** failure to provide goods, services or accommodations "...in the most integrated setting appropriate to the needs of the individual"* ** denial of the opportunity to participate in programs and activities that are not separate and different* ** the use of administrative methods that have the effect of discriminating on the basis of disability or perpetuating discrimination of others who are subject to common administrative control* and ** discriminating against an individual on the basis of his*her association with a person with a disability.**Among the specific acts of discrimination that are prohibited under the Act are:* ** failure to make reasonable modifications in policies, practices or procedures when such changes would result in appropriate accommodations for persons with disabilities, unless it can be demonstrated that such modifications would "...fundamentally alter the nature " of the goods, services or facilities being provided*** failure to make goods, services or facilities available through alternative methods in cases where the removal of architectural, communications or transportation barriers are not readily achievable, provided such alternative methods are readily achievable.***When a business fails to commit to universal design processes, either by conscious choice or simply by not being aware of the issues, lost business is not the only consequence. Failing to accommodate people with disabilities can result in expensive litigation, which one can expect to be considerably more expensive than the costs of doing the right thing in the first place.**I need this freeze lifted from my accounts immediately or I need the ability to close my accounts and take my money somewhere where it will truly be protected. Who would've thought that the people entrusted to protect our livelihood are the exact people it needs protecting from?
They are in violation of at least * federal laws! I have not yet filed an official complaint with the CFPB (freezing federally protected benefits) or the Department of Justice (violation of the ADA), because honestly I don't want to spend any more of my life on this, but I will if I have to. That is my property.
I want my access restored or I want my accounts closed.
I have tried EVERYTHING PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE!!!! Still no results
