I have raised numerous cases about this - never goes anywhere.*I know through someone 'high up' that my current case is in the system but again, I just don't have faith this will ever get solved.*But I am setting myself a challenge of raising a case each week...until you have no other choice but to come back to me and sort this simple issue.**In ****, I joined Twitter as: @debbiejoanne**. This was my personal account and linked to: *****@***.com.*In ****, I set up a *nd account linked to an online identity that I had created across Facebook and Instagram: @thedomestictech.*Because an email address can only be associated with one Twitter account at a time, I used my secondary email address for this *nd account: *****@***.com.**In ****, I got a new iPhone and therefore had to reinstall all of my apps. *When it came to Twitter: *@debbiejoanne - no problem adding that account back on.*@thedomestictech - problems. Big ones.**I tried entering my account name and selecting ‘forgot password’.*Tried resetting my password, but it takes you back to the reset page. So you just go round in circles.*I tried getting in touch with Helpdesk, but was told 'The email address you used to reach out doesn’t match the email on the account you mentioned’.*I logged a case in **** - one of many attempts to get in touch.*Ref: **********You closed the case, but never solved the issue.*I got in touch again and again, case after case, all closed off with no resolve.**It was extremely frustrating but in order to push forward with creating my online identity, and unable to log into my own Twitter account, I was left with no option but to set up a *rd Twitter account with a name that WAS available: @domestic*tech.*I didn’t have a *rd email address but tried my *****@***.com address to do this and there was seemingly no problem?!***I put this issue of not having access to @thedomestictech to the back of my mind, but fast forward almost * years and I am now rebranding my online identity and I desperately need my @thedomestictech account back in my rightful hands.*You can see clearly that the @thedomestictech account has been dormant since ****... because I am unable to access it!**You can see clearly that the same account, run by me, with my profile bio and picture of my kids’ hair, featuring my blogs, etc, is active under @domestic*tech and a blog was posted just at the end of ****. *I would dearly like to blog more, but it seems much of my time is spent dealing with technical issues like this. (Ironic that I call myself The Domestic Tech really.)**I think the simplest option would be to delete @thedomestictech as an account, which should mean that the domain would become available to me and I could simply rename @domestic*tech as @thedomestictech. Then my content is all up to date under the new name. *HOWEVER! There is a risk if the domain name is left out there for ** days before I can rightfully nab it, so someone else might take it? A long shot, but so is a virus started in a wet market that causes a global pandemic. *I don’t fancy taking the risk and would rather know it’s deleted and available to me immediately.**If you can help, it would mean that I can crack on with creating my brand identity all in line with @thedomestictech.*Kim Kardashian would never have these problems...**Yours gratefully, **Debbie Collins****** *** ****@domestic*tech.. but would rather be @thedomestictech
