I recently tried to update my birthday on Twitter, only to find out that my account got locked because I created it when I was under 13 years old. Now I'm 20 and unable to access my Twitter account that I've spent years building for my career in media. The process to unlock it requires my parents' email, filling out a form and submitting it, and even uploading a picture of my parent's license, which is not feasible for me. This situation is frustrating, especially considering I created the account when I was 12 and now I'm being asked to go through these difficult steps. My father, who knew about my account, has passed away, adding further complexity to the process.

I am using a translator as I am a foreigner. I need help unlocking my Twitter account. Currently, I do not have access to my cell phone number. The message I receive states: "This phone number is registered with another account." I have already verified my email and phone number. I am not a spammer, just a regular user who wants to use Twitter. My Twitter ID is Eeline_With_R. I feel frustrated and upset as I am unable to take any action. Can you please assist me promptly or provide guidance on how to proceed? I am Korean but reside in Japan, using a Japanese cell phone number (+81 ~), hoping to use the services in Japan. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I am eagerly anticipating your response.

When I was 12, I created my Twitter account, even though I was underage. Now that I am 18 and have cherished memories on the platform, my account got locked in June. I reached out to customer support to resolve this issue and after a couple of months of filling out forms, I received an email stating that Twitter would delete the tweets from before I turned 13 in order to return my account. I am okay with this compromise as long as I can regain access to my account and keep the rest of my posts. However, it's the end of October now, and I still haven't heard back from Twitter. I just want my account with all the memories I have collected from the age of 13 onwards. Your assistance in this matter would be appreciated. 😊

Hello, I am writing to report an issue with my friend's Twitter account. She recently updated her birth year from [redacted] to [redacted] and was immediately locked out of her account. Despite her being over the age of 13, Twitter is citing an age restriction policy when she tries to log in. The message she receives states, "Our terms of service require everyone who uses Twitter to be 13 or older, and we have determined that you did not meet the minimum age requirement at the time this account was created." Additionally, her active ad campaigns have been halted. She has tried reaching out to multiple individuals for support but has not received any useful assistance. Any help in restoring her account would be greatly appreciated. The Twitter handle in question is @Ghada156. Thank you.

My account was created on Twitter when I was under 13, which goes against their rules. I am now 18 years old and recently tried to correct my birthdate, but encountered difficulties due to the age restrictions. Despite Twitter promising to keep me updated on progress to unlock my account, it has been two months with no changes. I would appreciate assistance in regaining access to my account now that I meet the age requirement. Additionally, I wonder if it's possible for my verified followers to be transferred to my new account for continuity.

I occasionally receive requests to verify my Twitter account, especially when I respond quickly to numerous notifications. These requests come in bursts, the most recent being on Mon 10/29 via text. However, on Tuesday, I received the same request but this time they wanted to call me. Unfortunately, their system seems to have some issues. When I answer their call, they hang up immediately. If I let it go to voicemail, they hang up after only 2 rings. I have tried reaching out through email and their "help" page but have not received any responses. I am unsure what to do next. Thank you, @mblctz

I have attempted to contact you through six different emails regarding my account that has been inactive since [redacted]. The associated email has been closed, and despite numerous attempts to communicate with your team, I find myself in a cycle trying to delete this account and the information associated with it, including my picture in Google search results. I have made at least 16 attempts to reach out, but I feel like every door is being closed on me. This is a dormant account, and I am willing to verify my identity and provide necessary information to have it removed. It is frustrating that there seems to be no way to delete this account and my picture due to the closure of my Gmail account. I am simply asking for a solution without the constant back and forth of emails. I hope we can resolve this issue promptly before I have to seek other outlets for assistance, such as contacting news stations in the Bay Area. I just want this problem fixed.

Yesterday, I got locked out of my account, and now I'm trying to reset my password to regain access. However, when I click on the "start" button, it keeps glitching back to the initial page without allowing me to reset my password. It's frustrating because I'm stuck in this loop and unable to access my account. My username is @kayIvw.

Subject: Help Needed: Twitter Account Suspension Appeal Dear Twitter Support, I am reaching out because my account suspension feels unjust, akin to falsely accusing someone and sending them to jail. I have evidence with timestamps that show possible tampering by one of your users with my tweets. I am willing to provide this proof and consider joining a legal action if necessary. Attached are the original tweets for your review. Thank you, Cirsten W

Hello, I hope this message finds you well. My Twitter handle is @arrrlette_. On November 1st, [redacted], I attempted to update my birth year on my account to [redacted]. Unfortunately, my account got locked due to the age restriction policy as I originally created the account when I was not 13 years old. While trying to provide the correct information on the unlock form, I mistakenly selected the option indicating that I was 13 years old when I created the account. What I intended to choose was the option stating that I was not 13 at the time but now meet the minimum age requirement of 13. I am currently 21 years old. Twitter is requesting an official ID showing my date of birth and identity. However, my ID reflects my birth year as [redacted], which was the root of the initial issue. I am worried about losing my account. Even if I upload my ID, the birth year would not meet the minimum age requirement, possibly resulting in losing access to my account. Is there an alternative solution to resolve this issue? Could you consider unlocking my account now that this is clarified? I am willing to provide my ID for age verification purposes. Thank you for your assistance. Arlette

Hello, I am Jena Cordle and I had an issue with my Twitter account recently. I typically use the platform daily, so it was frustrating to be locked out suddenly. The problem started because my birth year on the account was incorrect. My actual birthdate is December 7, [redacted], making me 18 years old, turning 19 in December. On my account, I mistakenly had my birth year as December 7, [redacted]. I thought updating this to my correct year would be fine, but it resulted in me being locked out for supposedly being underage. Despite providing identification proof of my correct age, the emails I received still claimed I was underage. I hope to resolve this issue as I enjoy using Twitter regularly. Thanks for your attention and assistance, Jena

I'm 20 years old and have had my account for several years under the username StricklerBryce. My grandmother initially helped set up the account using an email address that she gave to me when she believed I was old enough to handle it. Recently, while editing my account, I realized my birth year was incorrect by one year. I updated it from [redacted] to [redacted], but now I'm locked out due to age restrictions. Unfortunately, my grandmother has passed away, and I'm unable to fulfill the requirement of having her sign off on an Agreement for Reinstatement of Account Created on Behalf of a Minor. I'm estranged from my family and uncertain about what steps to take to regain access to my account. Losing access to my tweets, memories, and followers is distressing to me. I appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue. Thank you. Sincerely, Bryce Strickler

I recently updated my birthday to accurately reflect that I am now 18 years old. However, this action resulted in my account, which I have been using for the past six years, being locked. While I am aware that users must be at least 13 years old to create an account, I had created mine when I was 12. I find it unjust to now face consequences for an action I took six years ago. My account holds significant memories in the form of direct messages, photos, and thousands of tweets, and creating a new account seems illogical, especially after using this one for such a long time. I would be willing to verify my identity if needed. I believe this penalty is excessive considering that my violation was simply creating my account a year before the terms of service allowed. Kindly restore access to my account.

I posted a response on Twitter in reaction to a racist and violent comment by Ann Coulter. Despite calling out the racism, my account got locked for using a vulgarity. It is frustrating that Coulter continues to spread hate while my single comment against racism led to my account being restricted as hateful. I have been trying to contact Twitter to unlock my account, but I am unable to even add my phone number due to an error. The provided phone number for Twitter support did not work, and I have not received any assistance with the following case numbers: [redacted]7, [redacted]3, [redacted]7, [redacted]8. It is upsetting that a well-known individual can promote racism, anti-Semitism, and violence without consequences, while I face restrictions for opposing such behavior.

Hello, I'm currently facing an issue with my account being suspended due to age restrictions. I am 19 years old and no longer live with my parents since I moved to University. When the account was created, I was almost 13 years old and did not actively use the service as I was not aware of how to. It feels unfair that now, at almost 20 years old, my Twitter account is locked/suspended because of a creation mistake from 7 years ago when I was unaware of the platform's rules. Being an adult, I find it unreasonable to require parental permission. I have been a loyal user with no prior issues, and I hope to have my account reinstated so I can continue using it. Thank you, B.M. (User @arthoeIife)

Hello, I have been trying to reach out to Twitter without any success. It seems that Twitter has a strict moderation policy. Unfortunately, my account was locked due to a tweet mentioning certain sensitive terms related to the death penalty and justice. Yes, I did use those words, but they were specifically directed towards a terrorist and the idea of reinstating the death penalty, not meant for anyone else. I believe these terms were misunderstood by Twitter.

I added my birthday to my bio a month ago, stating I am turning 19 soon as I was born on January 12, [redacted]. However, Twitter locked my account due to tweets from when I was 13, which feels unfair. My account has been inaccessible for about two months now, and no actions have been taken to resolve the issue. I am frustrated by the lack of progress in unlocking my account. I am eager to have my account restored by Twitter to resume using it as I did before.

My account was 'limited' due to a post that has been deleted. The restriction message was received at 1:03 a.m. last night. Initially, I could only read and send direct messages on Twitter for 11 minutes and 52 seconds, which has passed. However, currently I am unable to access my direct messages or read tweets, despite complying with the initial restriction. It feels like a double standard when Twitter permits derogatory statements from politicians while restricting my account. For instance, a video of the president inciting violence towards a group was tolerated. I have deleted the content deemed abusive and adhered to your terms, but the 'continue to Twitter' button is still not allowing me to engage.

I've been unable to access my Twitter account for over a week without any explanation. How can I regain access to my page? I find it unjust to be locked out without being provided a specific reason. Despite the presence of extremism, hate, and negativity on Twitter, my content is consistently positive. It's perplexing that a platform supposedly promoting positivity would restrict my access. This situation is particularly challenging as I'm seeking employment, and social media presence is crucial in today's society. Not being able to use Twitter impacts my ability to engage with the public. I'm disheartened by the lack of communication from Twitter regarding this issue. As a law-abiding citizen with no intention of spreading hate, it's unsettling to be in this position. The actions of Twitter's staff, who are ultimately responsible for managing the platform, are making an already difficult situation worse. Has your perception of Twitter as a community tool been affected by my experience and the lack of response from Twitter in resolving it?

I have rheumatoid arthritis affecting my arms and hands, causing difficulty using small Twitter buttons on my Laptop. I currently access Twitter on Windows 10 using Firefox 63.0.1. Magnification or zooming in will not solve the issue without causing additional problems. I have tried to find a solution online without success. As a loyal Twitter user, I hope for a way to enlarge the buttons to improve usability without affecting the rest of my computer settings. I believe addressing this concern would greatly benefit other users facing similar challenges. Thank you for your assistance.
