Dear Sir * Madam*I write to you with complete disdain for the situation I am about to explain.*I trust you will understand my frustration and lack of empathy shown by your Turkish Airline Office at the Airport in St Petersburg Russia.*I booked a Ticket through Pentravel in South Africa V***** my departure country.*I departed for St Petersburg on this Ticket on the **th July ****.*While on Holiday I became ill with severe food poising and because I was travelling alone I decided to terminate my stay due to my ill health and return to Istanbul.**I went to the Turkish Arlines Office at the Airport on the * August visibly ill and was treated appallingly by the staff at the Office who insisted on selling me the most expensive one way return from ST Petersburg to Istanbul at a cost *- $***,**. Due my worsening condition I felt I had no other choice but to pay the cost as the Clerk was unwilling to assist me with the existing Ticket which could have been changed by contacting Pentravel - instead he was adamant in selling me the most expensive Ticket - as a Smiles and Miles Member I found this totally abusive.**He offered no assistance with a wheelchair or any medical assistance considering the condition I was in - in fact he even told me that the entire return ticket would be invalid and that I required a new ticket for my departure in October.*The lack of customer service is a bad reflection on the Airline as I have been a loyal member since travelling to Istanbul * times this year so far.**My suggestion is that Turkish Airlines looks at some form of compensation for the ticket bought on the * August at such an exhorbitant cost which I feel cheated on.**I was duly hospitalised on the *nd August and spent * week in Central Hospital in Kozyatagi Istanbul.*I await to hear from you favourable and trust as a MILES & SMILES Member you will rectify this situation and do take the staff through customer satisfaction training in St Petersburg - or you risk your good name in the Travel Industry.**Kind regards*Idrissa Ebrahim**** *** *** ** **
