Respected Sir*madam,* *I was supposed to fly by Turkish Airlines flight at *:** am on December *, ****. I came to airport at approximately *:** a.m. I went to a caf* and fell asleep. A staff of the shop woke me up at *:** a.m. and I ran towards Turkish Airlines counter. There was a lady staff at the counter and she informed me the counter was already closed and I cannot fly. As flight was to depart at *:** am, in a shocking misbelief, I went to Airport’s information counter. There was another passenger in same situation. The information counter and their supervisors kept calling Turkish Airlines staff at the gate for ** minutes or so. No one picked up the phone. Two staff of Turkish Airlines, Mr. Mohit Sonar and Mr. Danish Inamdar, came to talk to us but could not help us as it was almost *:** a.m. by then. Airport information staff and their superiors came but the other passenger and I were escorted out of the airport by approximately *:** a.m. I had to buy another ticket and flew later on that day. * *I missed the flight because the Turkish Airlines did not help me at the counter when I approached the ticket counter and because airport information staff could not communicate with Turkish Airlines staff at the gate in prompt manner. I COMPLETELY UNDESTAND THAT IT WAS MY FAULT RUNNING LATE AT TURKISH AIRLINES COUNTER BUT WITH PROPER SYSTEM, I COULD HAVE REACHED THE AIRPLANE GATE.* *I am writing this correspondence because if I will not speak up, things will not change. Why do you allow such a lousy airline to operate from publicly funded facility such as Mumbai Airport? How come there is not efficient system for internal communication between airport information staff and airlines staff at the gate of the plane? Why the lady staff at the Turkish Airlines counter did not help me? Why the Turkish Airlines counter close before flight departs?* *I want actions taken against Turkish Airlines and Information staff at that time of the incident. I will keep writing this letter every week until the things will not change. What if there is a medical emergency and Airline’s staff at the gate and information desk staff can not communicate with each other?* *How a foreign investor will invest in India if these kinds of experiences keep happening? * *Also, please respond me in writing.* *Thank You,* *Jay Varma
