I have been using TurboTax since [redacted]. Recently, I encountered an issue where some of my tax data was missing after saving it over a two-day period. This has happened before, and I suspect it may be due to a glitch in the software. Despite starting with the CD Standard version and doing frequent updates, I was advised by support to switch to the download version for better reliability. However, the problem persisted even with the downloaded version, though I had more confidence in it.

I am currently experiencing difficulty loading my TurboTax Premier [redacted] software for the past three hours. After installing it on a new Windows 10 system, the activation and registration went smoothly. However, when attempting to start a new return, the software asked to run from another account without clarifying further. I attempted a regular uninstall and reinstall, followed by a forced uninstall as advised on the support forum. Despite deleting all necessary files, my reinstallation was unsuccessful as it prompted me to insert the disk for an update without progressing further. I am puzzled by this issue, as I have been using TurboTax for over 15 years without such problems. I am unsure about deleting certain folders and files to resolve this. Could someone please provide a detailed solution to help me successfully install the software? Alternatively, I would appreciate a high-level tech support call on the cell number associated with my account.

Today, I used your software to file my return, as I have in previous years. However, I ran into an issue with form [redacted]. Your system prompted me to buy Turbo Business for $[redacted].00 to complete this, but after purchasing it, I found it was not suitable. I realized I could have found the input I needed by searching for schedule K-1. I feel I spent $[redacted].00 unnecessarily. As a loyal Turbo Tax user, I am disappointed. I would appreciate it if the $[redacted].00 charge can be canceled. Thank you for your help. - User.

I started preparing my taxes in mid-February while in quarantine due to COVID-19. It has been a month, and my taxes are still unfinished. I utilized the full-service TurboTax with Syreeta as my tax specialist. I provided all the necessary documents, with the IRS letter concerning the Tax Advance in [redacted] being the most time-consuming, arriving in early March. Recently, I was informed by Syreeta that I needed to upgrade to Full Service Deluxe, increasing the cost from $[redacted] to $[redacted], plus an additional $49 for the state return. This unexpected charge would bring the total to over $[redacted] for a service I assumed would be straightforward and complimentary. I am disappointed by this requirement, especially since the issue at the end was due to a software problem with my [redacted]-DIV, which couldn't be properly integrated and prevented Live Collaboration. As a result, I declined the upgrade and must now restart the process independently. This situation is frustrating and time-consuming. Despite uploading all the necessary documents, they still haven't been correctly integrated. I feel let down by the tax expert's progress when I opted out of the upgrade. I will not use full-service TurboTax again and will share my negative experience with others.

I recently experienced the closure of my Turbo card account after reporting my funds missing due to a stolen wallet and phone. I have been instructed to verify my identity before receiving a check for the remaining balance in my account. Unfortunately, my ID was in the stolen wallet, leaving me in a distressing situation without income and now homeless. The lack of notice from the representative further complicated matters, as I was assured I could access my funds with a new card, which turned out to be unactivatable upon receipt. I am feeling overwhelmed and unsure of the necessary steps to recover my money. I would appreciate any assistance or guidance on resolving this urgent issue promptly. Thank you for your time and understanding.

I encountered an issue with TurboTax on my Mac computer. After successfully filing a tax report, the software stopped opening the next day. Each time I attempt to open it, the app appears to be loading then immediately closes. An error message briefly flashes, possibly mentioning form updates, before disappearing too quickly to read. This is particularly frustrating as I need to access my completed tax report for filing. Despite receiving a peculiar prompt to send a report to TurboTax and agreeing to it, my screen went blank, and now the application won't launch at all. I'm concerned about having to redo all the work I've invested two days into, along with an afternoon of troubleshooting.

I was in the process of filing my taxes using Turbotax Deluxe when I reached a roadblock trying to enter the [redacted] form from my mother's trust, which led me to Turbotax Business. After purchasing Turbotax Business for $[redacted].54, I encountered further difficulties inputting my 1099Rs. Despite reaching out to Turbotax for support multiple times, I was directed to Quick Books once without success and encountered a language barrier on another call. After persistent efforts, I managed to complete my taxes on Turbotax Deluxe, incurring a total cost of $[redacted].00, which included federal, state, and audit filing. I am now seeking a refund of $[redacted].54 for the unused Turbotax Business purchase.

I have been using your product for years and am satisfied with how it works. However, I am disappointed with the Credit Karma Debit card provided by Turbo Tax. My refund is stuck with Credit Karma as I have not received the card after three failed attempts. Customer service has been kind but unhelpful, giving scripted responses and not resolving my issue. The app won't let me connect my bank, and every call ends with the same generic advice to wait another day. Today, I couldn't link my bank account due to system issues since February. I'm unsure if you can assist me, but any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you for your help. - S.D.

I recently downloaded the Adobe product recommended by Turbotax. Unfortunately, I am experiencing issues printing forms due to error messages like "The document could not be printed" and "An error occurred while printing the document." Despite ensuring my Brother printer is up to date and updating Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, the problem persists. I attempted various troubleshooting steps like restarting my computer, reinstalling Adobe multiple times, and even accidentally printing forms post-uninstallation. Furthermore, when attempting to e-File directly, the program hangs at the "Transmit Your Returns" screen without transmitting upon clicking "Transmit Returns Now." It seems the free Adobe product lacks technical support compared to paid versions. After spending countless hours troubleshooting and seeking assistance, I am still unable to resolve these issues. Any guidance on resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, My spouse and I took advantage of the TurboTax free tax filing offer and had our live chat with the TurboTax assistant today. We have always had success using TurboTax and were eager to try this new feature. The chat experience was stressful. The assistant seemed rushed and cold, not giving us time to gather the materials we were unaware we needed. She quickly asked questions without waiting for our answers and pushed us to upgrade to the freelancer package without giving us time to consider it properly. My wife's income of around $[redacted] for a few months doesn't classify her as a freelancer, as she planned to report it as self-employed in the "gross-receipts" section of her form. I have been an educator for 11 years and never needed special help filing my educator credits. We opted for the full-service offer expecting a stress-free and cost-free experience due to our recent challenges, including my wife's health issues and my concerns about returning to the classroom post-pandemic. We felt pressured into a $[redacted] upgrade that may not benefit us financially. We would like to understand why the call was so stressful and explore a resolution that works for us. Money is tight for us right now, and we'd appreciate the chance to find a solution together. Time and information to make sound decisions are crucial to us. Thank you for listening.

This tax season, I opted for TurboTax online instead of using the CD or download versions, a decision I now deeply regret. Despite being a loyal TurboTax user for over 30 years, this experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth. Typically, I use TurboTax Deluxe, which suits my tax needs perfectly. However, this time around, when I attempted to proceed online, I was forced into purchasing the higher-priced Premier version, encountering numerous roadblocks along the way. A process that should have taken minutes turned into an ordeal spanning several hours, costing me an additional $70. The online platform lacked the flexibility I needed, as I was unable to make necessary edits efficiently. Dealing with customer service was equally frustrating, with five agents and nine hours later, only some issues were resolved. Four out of five representatives were unable to assist me adequately, prolonging my ordeal. The promised 20% discount for my troubles never materialized, despite receiving a code and attempting to use it. Overall, this has been one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I've encountered with TurboTax online.

I received a letter from the IRS, regarding Notice CP12, with corrections to my [redacted] tax return impacting the Recovery Rebate Credit. They adjusted my return, resulting in a refund of $2,[redacted].00. The letter explains errors related to the Recovery Rebate Credit, such as missing or incorrect information for dependents or exceeding income limits. I am advised to review the changes and contact the IRS by May 13, [redacted], if I disagree. Otherwise, if I agree with the adjustments, I can expect the refund within 4-6 weeks. The notice includes details on how to handle the issue and contact information for assistance.

I recently received a letter from the IRS notifying me of an error on my [redacted] Form 1040SR, which led to me being owed a refund. The letter provides detailed information about the error correction and the adjusted refund amount of $2,[redacted].00. It also explains the reasons for the change and outlines the steps to resolve the issue. I need assistance in sorting out this matter with the IRS and receiving reimbursement for the $1,[redacted].00 this mistake has cost me. It is concerning as I used TurboTax, which guarantees complete accuracy. I would appreciate guidance on how to proceed with rectifying the situation with the IRS and recovering the financial impact of this error.

I purchased TurboTax [redacted] from Amazon on disk, but it is not working, showing an error when trying to repair. I attempted to access my online account but encountered difficulties due to an outdated phone number. Amazon's replacement disk did not work, so I opted for the download option. However, while using the software for federal taxes, I encountered numerous glitches, leading to a frustrating experience. The transition from federal to state taxes resulted in an endless loop when selecting Arizona. Despite following the required steps, the system failed to complete the process, preventing me from downloading the state package that was said to be included. It appears that TurboTax may have knowingly provided flawed packages to Amazon at a discounted rate. This experience reflects poorly on TurboTax and underscores the need for improvements in their programming and development processes.

I recently received a letter from the IRS concerning an error on my [redacted] Form 1040SR. The letter clearly explains the issue and states that I am due a refund of $2,[redacted].00 due to the correction made by the IRS. The error seemed to be related to the Recovery Rebate Credit claimed on my tax return. Despite using TurboTax, an error still occurred, costing me $[redacted].00. I will contact the IRS to ensure this is resolved and request reimbursement for the amount I lost due to the mistake.

I used TurboTax last year to file both my federal and state taxes, but I encountered issues transmitting them electronically due to a problem with the previous year's AGI. Despite contacting a TurboTax representative and confirming the AGI with the IRS, I ended up having to mail both tax returns. The representative offered options for a refund for the state tax transmission fee or using it for next year. Now, as I try to file my taxes for this year, I am prompted to pay the state tax transmission fee again. I am unsure if the system should recognize a credit or if there are additional steps I need to take.

I e-filed my [redacted] return on the phone app around 2/8/22, claiming my daughter as a dependent. After the IRS adjusted my return and sent a revised refund amount, I realized it wasn't my year to claim my daughter. Her mother now needs to claim her. I tried to submit an amended return via Turbotax multiple times last Friday and Saturday, but it was rejected each time. When attempting to print my original return, I'm only able to access the [redacted]-X page and the corrected [redacted], not the initial version to see the IRS changes. Despite countless hours spent seeking support over the weekend, I've been unsuccessful. My daughter's Mom is frustrated as she can't file her taxes until my issue is resolved. I'm in desperate need of assistance.

I keep receiving a message saying, "This license code has already been associated with an account. Please check that account and look for it in Downloads," when trying to load software. I have attempted to create an account and sign in using every username listed, but still face the same issue. Despite uninstalling TurboTax, the problem persists. I managed to resolve the initial issue without assistance from TurboTax, but now I'm unable to make a payment for insurance through TurboTax. I am extremely frustrated with the experience and have decided to never use TurboTax again.

I spent over 1 1/2 hours on the phone with a TurboTax technician. She was great. Unfortunately, the call got disconnected, and the issue was not resolved. There were multiple problems with the return, too many to list here. I received an email with my TurboTax case number #[redacted]. I filed my [redacted] and it was accepted on 2/8/22. The IRS sent me a letter with a correction to my refund, which I received. I initially claimed my daughter as my dependent, but then her Mother was supposed to claim her this year. I tried to amend my return three times, but it was rejected each time. Additionally, I can't view or print my original return that was accepted on 2/8. When I open my account, it says my amended return needs attention, but the fix process is not working. Canceling the amendment didn't help, and when I try to view my [redacted] return, it shows conflicting amounts owed between the [redacted]-X and the [redacted]. It has caused issues with my daughter's Mother, and I am urgently seeking a resolution.

As a retired Episcopal priest who has been using Turbo Tax Deluxe for many years, I seek guidance on how to report my Housing Allowance on Form [redacted]. Despite advice from my denomination's tax helpers, I am unable to input the necessary figures on Turbo Tax Deluxe. According to the instructions provided, the excluded amount of the Housing Allowance should not be directly shown on the federal tax return, but rather reflected in various lines on Form [redacted]: Line 5a should capture the total pension benefits received from Box 1 of Form [redacted]-R, while Line 5b should display the taxable portion of these benefits after deducting the housing exclusion. Even if the taxable benefits are entirely used for housing, Line 5b should still be filled with zero.
