I recently received a refund on a TurboTax debit card, but Green Dot contacted me claiming they detected suspicious activity and temporarily blocked the card. I followed their instructions to provide a photo of my driver's license. However, after speaking with them, the card was permanently closed, and I was informed that I need a letter from the IRS to retrieve the funds. Despite contacting multiple representatives using the number on the back of the Intuit Turbo card, no one could explain the situation to me. I have faithfully filed my taxes through TurboTax for the past three years and am at a loss as to what has caused this issue. Your guidance on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

I believe my accounts have been compromised. Someone accessed my accounts and changed the payment method to their debit card without my knowledge. I am concerned because I did not receive a TurboTax card for my tax return. I have information about the individuals involved who were bragging about stealing my tax return. I am a caregiver to three grandchildren, one of whom is ill, so I urgently need this resolved. I suspect they have not received the replacement card yet, so I hope the funds are untouched. Speedy resolution is vital because these fraudsters should not get away with their actions. Despite changing my email and password, they have also interfered with my unemployment claims, preventing me from accessing my weekly claim. I seek your assistance, as I trust your services. I am prepared to involve the authorities, but freezing the funds is crucial.

Hello, I recently filed my taxes using your TurboTax platform without any issues. However, Green Dot Corporation unexpectedly locked my account for suspicious activity, causing major disruptions as my bills and paychecks are tied to it. In response to this situation, I've opened a new account with my local credit union. Could you kindly guide me on how to update my bank account information on TurboTax to ensure I receive the upcoming stimulus package smoothly? I apologize for the strong language, but I am in desperate need of this money for purchasing my first home. The IRS suggested reaching out to you for assistance. Thank you for your help in this urgent matter.

I am frustrated that my refund hasn't been processed yet. I filed early on 2/11, but there's been no progress. It's disheartening to see $[redacted] deducted from my federal, especially since others I know who filed directly have already received their state and federal refunds, including those with children and EIC. I just want to understand why there's such a delay in my refund processing.

I bought Turbo Tax [redacted] Premier as a PC Download from Amazon. I've tried installing, repairing, removing, reinstalling, redownloading, and reinstalling again. However, every time I press "Launch Turbo Tax," I receive an error message that causes the program to close. Interestingly, it greets me with "Welcome Back" even though this is my first time installing this version, even though I have had the [redacted] and [redacted] versions installed previously.

I filed my state and federal taxes on 2/12/21. I received my state tax refund yesterday, which was due on 3/4/21. However, I am still waiting for my federal tax refund. I am disappointed with the poor customer service I received through chat and the long wait times to speak with representatives. I paid $[redacted] for TurboTax and feel that I should be refunded due to this terrible service. The chat representatives I dealt with were unhelpful and wasted over 6 hours of my time. I just kept getting the same generic responses without any assistance. This level of service is unacceptable considering the amount I paid for filing. I am frustrated and concerned about the status of my federal taxes. The tracker indicates the refund should have arrived around 3/4/21, and now it's 3/10/21. My friends and family who did not use TurboTax have received their refunds within 2 weeks, while I paid a significant amount and I am still waiting.

I use TurboTax for my income tax calculations, including state tax. I moved from North Carolina to California in [redacted] and am now a California resident. I spent about 52% of the year in North Carolina and 48% in California. I expected TurboTax Premier to handle my taxes for these two states automatically. However, when I reached the section on North Carolina taxes for part-year residents and nonresidents, I was asked to input "NC Source Income during NC Residence (PY Resident)" and "Nonresident with Income from NC Sources." The federal amounts involved are: - Interest income - Dividends - Taxable pension - Social Security - Taxable Social Security I'm confused as to why TurboTax didn't calculate this automatically. Do I need to fill in the data for "NC Source Income during NC Residence (PY Resident)" and "Nonresident with Income from NC Sources?" It appears that when I fill in data for both states at 52% for NC and 48% for CA, the results differ. I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

I'm frustrated with the lack of customer service I have received after paying for help with my federal taxes. I was supposed to receive my refund around 3/4, but it's now 3/10 and I still haven't gotten it. People I know who used free TurboTax have received their refunds in less than 21 days. I paid $[redacted] for what was supposed to be excellent chat and customer service, but no one has been able to assist me. I've spent nearly 10 hours on chat and phone calls, only to have agents repeatedly ask for my name and claim they are researching my account without resolving anything. I was promised a call back four times but never received the nine-digit code to speak with someone. I believe I deserve a refund for the services I paid for but never received. This experience has made me think twice about using TurboTax again in the future, as the customer service has been unacceptable.

My spouse and I updated our filing status to "Married Filing Separately." I used TurboTax to file my tax return, which was accepted, but as I wasn't getting a refund, I couldn't provide my Direct Deposit Information. Our issue is that my Stimulus payment for the [redacted] return was sent to my spouse's bank account, who resides in Virginia while I'm in Europe. Upon realizing this, I reached out to TurboTax, and they directed me to a link where I corrected my Direct Deposit Information with them. My concern is that even though my [redacted] return lacks D.D. info, TurboTax holds my correct details. I'm unsure if the IRS will utilize the info on file for the Stimulus Payment or if they'll issue a check. If they opt for a check, I won't receive it, and I don't want it sent to my U.S. mailing address.

My spouse and I updated our filing status to "Married Filing Separately." I used TurboTax to file my tax return, which got accepted, but since I wasn't due a refund, I couldn't provide my Direct Deposit Information. In [redacted], my wife received the stimulus payment in her account, even though we are currently living apart. After realizing the error, TurboTax allowed me to update my Direct Deposit Information through a provided link. My concern now is whether the IRS will use the updated Direct Deposit Information on file with TurboTax for the stimulus payment, considering it's not on my [redacted] return. If they decide to send a check instead, I won't receive it as I'm in Europe and don't want it sent to my American mailing address.

The Massachusetts tax Form 1 only allows 24 characters for the first line of the address. As a result, my address got cut off on my MA return, but it shows correctly on the federal return. TurboTax confirmed this issue after several hours on the phone with associates. They could see this in their records but did not warn about it on their website. They suggested I submit it and handle any rejections later. I have already paid for their service and it seems I can't get a full refund. Their customer service is confusing and unhelpful, making me consider using my friend's shorter address. I worry this might affect other state-related things like my driver's license and car registration that are due soon. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I am using TurboTax Deluxe on my laptop for tax preparation. The US Treasury recently sent me a package with new forms for [redacted] and information on [redacted] estimated taxes. The package includes a worksheet for calculating the estimated taxes for this year. I have filed estimated taxes before. Will TurboTax incorporate these new procedures and calculate the values accordingly? The 2[redacted]-V in the package now has its own mailing envelope going to Cincinnati. Do I still need to file a printed return separately? I am hoping that the Filing Instructions in TurboTax will provide more guidance on these changes. Thank you for any help you can provide. - D. The Act temporarily raised the deduction limit for cash contributions to public charities from 60% to [redacted]% of a taxpayer's adjusted gross income (AGI) for [redacted]. This increase could benefit those looking to maximize charitable donations during these challenging times.

Request for Profit & Loss Statement Assistance for Grubhub I'm seeking help to fill out a profit and loss statement for Grubhub. Some example expenses to consider are mileage, phone expenses, repairs, supplies (such as phone holder, case, or bags), and miscellaneous expenses. Dear Victoria, I apologize for any rush or confusion. I hope to have your taxes filed promptly, so whenever you have a moment, please complete the request. I understand this time can be stressful, and I appreciate your response. Just a friendly reminder, we reach out if we don't hear from a client. My aim is to assist you effectively. I have provided both PDF and Excel versions of the Profit and Loss Statement. Whenever you're ready, kindly complete the form. Thank you, Dia, 10 years experienced Tax Expert Additional Query: In TurboTax, the Profit & Loss request mentions DoorDash and Grubhub. I solely worked with Grubhub. Can you guide me on accurately completing this section? Dia C.: "I apologize for the confusion, it should all pertain to Grubhub. Let me make the necessary changes." I'm puzzled as to why I received a message today requesting completion for DoorDash instead of Grubhub.

I have used Intuit for my last two tax returns and appreciated the continuity. However, the cost is becoming burdensome, especially since my only investment account was set up by my parents. Being unemployed in [redacted] due to the pandemic, my income is now below $72,[redacted]. As a New York resident, I found that the New York government offers free online tax filing for individuals in my income bracket. I inquired with TurboTax to see if they could provide a similar option for my [redacted] taxes. Unfortunately, the representative could only offer a 10% discount, which does not alleviate my financial strain. This lack of flexibility led me to seek alternative tax filing solutions. I am disappointed that TurboTax does not offer more assistance to those significantly impacted by the pandemic, prompting my decision to switch to a different, more affordable tax preparation tool.

I recently received an email stating that my financial institution rejected my second stimulus check and requested an update to my bank information, including my routing and account details. I complied, but the same issue occurred again. I filed my taxes and expected to have received them about two weeks ago. When I checked the IRS page, it said the third stimulus check should be arriving today. However, when I contacted my bank, they reported no activity or incoming deposits. The IRS page displayed a different checking account number that I do not recognize, stating it's normal if I e-filed through someone else. Despite having filed my taxes with the same company for the past 6 or 7 years, I am confused about what's happening. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you.

Today, I logged into my TurboTax account and noticed that only my address is showing. My name and other necessary details are missing from the account. I purchase TurboTax annually from Costco, so this situation raises suspicions. Additionally, there have been concerns regarding the Covid-19 stimulus payments for users of TurboTax. I filed my [redacted] taxes in early March and promptly received my federal and California state refunds on March 12th without any issues. However, now I am worried that using TurboTax for filing has impacted the IRS processing of the third stimulus payment. When I check the IRS "Get My Payment" portal, it states "Payment Information Not Available." My bank details remain unchanged. I've heard about similar problems faced by TurboTax users with previous stimulus payments. I need assistance. - Peter L.

I used the IRS Get My Payment tool on their website, and it indicated my stimulus payment would be deposited today, the 17th. I checked my TurboTax card app for the deposit on their Turbo Card, but it wasn't there this morning. I tried contacting their support team through the app, but after going through their FAQs with no help, I managed to get to a live chat. Despite waiting 40 minutes for assistance from Nikita, I was abruptly disconnected from the chat. The IRS mentioned any issues could be with my bank, not them. I paid for their Max service, which includes live chat support, but I couldn't access it when needed. It would be appreciated if I could receive a reimbursement for the fee, as I haven't been able to utilize the support. Ultimately, I just want assistance locating my IRS stimulus check. Thank you.

Hello, I’m Mehdi A. and I need assistance with the depreciation of my former home. My wife and I owned our house for seventeen years, running a child care daycare there since [redacted]. Each year, TurboTax accounted for a business depreciation on the property, separate from items like furniture. When we sold the house in [redacted] and closed the business, I filed my [redacted] taxes and discovered conflicting information. Initially, an expert informed me that I owed over $24,[redacted] in taxes due to roughly $22,[redacted] in house depreciation being counted as income. After calling TurboTax again, a different representative guided me through a review and clarified that I only owe about $[redacted] to the Federal and have a credit of $[redacted] from California. To avoid issues with the IRS, I seek clarity on the correct amount owed before finalizing my submission. If needed, please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you.
