In early April, I attempted to file my taxes with your service. I was unable to e-file due to missing a necessary number from the previous year, which I never received from you. Subsequently, I had to resort to mailing in my tax return despite expecting your service to handle it for me at no cost. Regrettably, upon checking, I discovered that my taxes were not filed by your team. I had to download the forms and send them myself to avoid penalties for late filing. I feel disappointed by the lack of service provided. Despite my repeated attempts to contact your support through various channels, I was unsuccessful. I hope to receive a response promptly regarding this matter. You can reach me at my email address.

I used a third-party to file our taxes in mid-February, but due to personal reasons, a friend's mother named Cindy Ruth entered the information for us. Unfortunately, she made several mistakes with our contact details and names. We have been waiting for our refund since April [redacted] but are having trouble verifying our identity with Green Dot bank as we don't have utility bills in our names. Even after attempting to file an amended return as advised by the IRS, we were told to pursue a civil suit to get our money. All we want is to get a headstone for our daughter who passed away in May [redacted]. The preparer used her own contact information on our account, causing delays in receiving our refund. I am hoping to contact Intuit to consolidate our TurboTax accounts and resolve these issues to finally receive our refund.

Hello, I have a tax query regarding filing amendments for the past two years. I recently discovered I should have reported rental income from a property in India that I rented two years ago. I am unsure about claiming depreciation because I am confused about determining the correct acquisition date. In India, the property acquisition process differs slightly. Here is the timeline: In [redacted], I booked an apartment in Mumbai, India, and made installment payments as construction progressed. In [redacted], the apartment was legally registered in my name, and in September [redacted], I physically received possession of the apartment. When filing for depreciation, I am unsure whether to consider [redacted] when I booked the property, [redacted] when it was registered in my name, or [redacted] when I received physical possession. Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I need help choosing the right tax software package. My wife and I usually use TurboTax Deluxe for our joint tax filing, but this year I am starting a small consulting business as a sole proprietor. I am unsure if I will get a DBA. I want a product from Intuit that can handle both our personal taxes and my small business needs. I need it to calculate and generate forms for filing quarterly State and Federal business taxes, such as income taxes, Social Security, Medicare, and State Unemployment tax. Invoicing functionality would be a bonus but is not essential. I am confused by the different Intuit products like “TurboTax Home & Business”, “TurboTax Self-Employed”, and “Quickbooks Self-Employed”. I prefer a one-time purchase rather than a subscription model, and I want software that can be downloaded or installed from a CD without requiring an internet connection. Mobile support is not needed. I want a solution that can import data into our usual TurboTax product for our annual tax filing. Can "TurboTax Home & Business" fulfill all these requirements?

I am currently undergoing a review for my [redacted] Tax Return and have been asked to provide several documents. I have everything I need except the T2200 form. I work full-time for the Government of Canada and also have a small business. I used TurboTax to file my return as self-employed and included some work-related expenses. However, I am stuck because the T2200 form is supposed to be completed by the employer, which, in this case, is myself. I suspect I may have inputted some information incorrectly on my tax return, causing these issues. I am seeking advice on how to proceed. Should I amend my return? Can I submit the required documents without the T2200 form and explain my unique situation? I purchased the 'Audit Defense' feature with TurboTax. Thank you, Mark

Apologies for the inconvenience, My old computer crashed, and I am unable to locate the program I purchased to generate [redacted] forms for my taxes. I am now in the process of preparing 4 tax returns for myself and my children and need to know if there is a way to download the purchased program or if I can buy a different program for multiple returns. I noticed there are free online tax returns, but I have more complex financial situations with rental properties, investments, and schedules C and K-1. I also have W-2 information and stock transactions for the other returns. I prefer not to start on a free program only to find out later that it can't handle my taxes. I feel more comfortable with desktop programs. Would an online program be able to import data from my previous TurboTax returns? Sorry, as an experienced CPA, I find it challenging to adapt to new methods. Thank you, P. Valle

I received my tax refund for [redacted] on my Green Dot TurboTax Intuit Visa card. On June 3, [redacted], I transferred $[redacted] from my Intuit Visa card ending in [redacted] to my cell number [redacted] through the TurboTax application. Upon receiving a verification code via text message, I chose to send the money to my boyfriend Jesus Ortiz's PayPal account linked to [redacted] He initiated a refund on June 12, [redacted], but the $[redacted] was sent to [redacted] Despite numerous attempts to contact PayPal through emails and calls, I have not received a clear explanation about where the money went. I also tested with $1, which was refunded correctly to my account. But the $[redacted] has not been refunded.

I am having trouble accessing my Turbotax online account. When I try to reset my password, the system sends me a six-digit code. However, I no longer have access to the phone number provided for receiving the code. I submitted an Email Change Request form but am stuck without access to the associated phone number. Can anyone assist me in gaining access to my account? Dear Teresa, We have reviewed your request to change the email address linked to your TurboTax account. Unfortunately, our records do not show any connection between the provided User ID or Email address and your name. For security reasons, User IDs and email addresses must match our records, including the customer's name and physical address. Since we found no orders or filings associated with your account, we cannot proceed with the requested changes. If you used a different User ID or email address for your TurboTax account, please submit a new email change request with that information. Alternatively, if you remember your login details, you can visit the provided link to update your account information directly. In case you cannot recall your login information, we recommend creating a new account for filing your current year taxes. My tax return was rejected, and I'm unsure why since I entered all the information the same as last year. I'm unable to pay the $[redacted] I owe in taxes in full right now, so I requested a $50/month payment plan. I submitted an extension, but it's almost due. I'm using the desktop version of TurboTax for [redacted] and [redacted], as well as online QuickBooks. Thank you for looking into this.

I have a question regarding selling a life estate property before my mother's passing. I am seeking guidance on determining the value by utilizing IRS actuarial tables based on her age. Could anyone clarify which specific IRS table should be employed for this calculation? I came across a similar scenario in a chat message that resonated with my situation. Grateful for any insights or advice. Thank you, Ron.

I have not received my federal tax refund yet. I used TurboTax to file my taxes, providing the same information as in past years. During my move, I initially used my old address on the return and later updated it to my new address. However, I am unable to locate my refund. My attempts to contact the IRS have been unsuccessful as I cannot reach a person and the hotline indicates that my taxes are still being processed. I am concerned about the status of my refund and would appreciate guidance on how to receive it. Can someone assist me in resolving this matter?

I have been a loyal user of TurboTax products for many years and am familiar with the program. However, for this upcoming tax season, I need to speak with a representative to make some adjustments specifically for this year. I require assistance in cancelling the automatic order for this tax year only. I am seeking assurance that this change has been made and that I will not be billed for it. Please contact me at [redacted] either tomorrow or on Monday. Your prompt attention to this matter is appreciated. Thank you. Harry and Mary B. [redacted] Crooked Creek Rd. Gettysburg, PA [redacted]. Hello, I am using TurboTax Premier to file my [redacted] return. I need to report my foreign rental income and claim the foreign tax paid to avoid being taxed twice on the same income. I completed form T776, but I couldn't find where to enter the foreign tax paid to get the foreign tax credit. When I input the foreign tax paid on the foreign income screen, it doesn't seem to reduce my taxes. I tried entering the rental income as Other Foreign Income and inputting the foreign tax paid on the same screen, which resulted in my rental income being doubled and recorded as other income. This error is causing my net rental income to not be recognized for future RRSP deduction room. It seems the program is not designed for this situation. Can someone guide me on how and where to report the foreign tax paid correctly? Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you. - Jerry B.

I was charged around $[redacted] to file my taxes, even though I didn't select any upgrades. A portion was for direct deposit, but I wasn't given the option for a check. I'm upset about this charge since I've used the service for free before. I made less money last year, so it's unfair to be charged now. I had to pay to file, and I find it ridiculous. I tried to use the chat feature for help but only got automated responses. Can I have this surprise fee waived?

I recently reviewed my wife's [redacted] tax return and noticed that TurboTax did not include our joint medical claims on the Federal non-refundable tax credit page. Line 25 is blank, while line 26 shows $[redacted].23, but line 29 is also blank, resulting in line 30 not accounting for the $[redacted].23 amount. After checking the returns for the past five years, I discovered the same mistake. Could this be a software issue with TurboTax?

I have a question about my [redacted] taxes. I filed with TurboTax, and recently received a letter from MA regarding an adjustment to my reported income. The letter claims I owe about $[redacted] for income earned by my husband while we lived in Florida in July [redacted]. I'm unsure if this adjustment is accurate as the income was earned while we resided in Florida. Can someone clarify if MA DOR's changes and the billing are justified?

I'm having trouble signing in even though I have an account. I recently changed my phone number. I requested a code to be sent to my email, received it, but entering the code leads me back to the alternative login screen. When attempting to reset my password, it can't verify my identity, despite providing the correct address and social security number. I've reached the maximum number of attempts.

Hello, I started my taxes and made a payment to my TurboTax account in July this year, specifically on the 21st. Somehow, I ended up with two different accounts but I'm unsure how that happened. First Account: - Username: Nruffino - Password: Nr0219Ah$ (I think) - Email: [redacted] Second Account: - Username: kim4616nick - Password: Nr0219Ah$ or Nr0219Ah# or Nr0210Ah! - Email: [redacted] or [redacted] I've tried both accounts but can only access Intuit, which doesn't lead me to my [redacted] profile where I was completing my taxes. In July, I couldn't submit my taxes due to missing my Ex-wife's social security number. Now that I have the information, I need to access my account to finish my tax return. Can you help me access my account to submit my income taxes promptly?

I recently had my tax return rejected, but unfortunately, I wasn't provided with any details on why this happened. I've been finding it challenging to seek assistance and resolve this matter as there doesn't seem to be any clear guidance available. I have been using TurboTax for several years now and have always trusted their service. However, despite reaching out via both phone calls and emails, I have not received any response or support. I'm feeling quite frustrated by the lack of communication and the inability to speak to a customer service representative. If anyone has advice or suggestions, please don't hesitate to share.

I have been trying to sign in multiple times to download TurboTax. Despite changing my password several times and clicking on the help sign-in, the page only shows four spinning blue dots for 10-15 minutes before returning to the sign-in page. I have tried different internet connections due to my slow internet speed, attempted on several days, and even restarted my computer to no avail. Is it possible to receive a CD instead of downloading the program?
