The issue in GetHuman878674's own words
I received a letter from the IRS stating that I owe $**** from my **** federal return. The reason is that form **** line **a ($**,***) pension and annuity income and line **b ($**,***) taxable amount should both read $**,***. Unless I mistakenly made a wrong input on my end I can't figure this one out. The $**,*** on line **b was not inputted by me. That was generated by TurboTax and I relied on their expertise thinking maybe they know something I don't. Since I am retired I no longer have money coming out of my income pre-tax. I am afraid this same issue may have occurred in **** as well and this also causes me to have to go back and re-examine my state returns too. **Thank you,**Karl Vickers
