Tumblr Customer Service Issues

Archive 1

The following are issues that customers reported to GetHuman about Tumblr customer service, archive #1. It includes a selection of 20 issue(s) reported February 23, 2016 onward. If you have a similar customer service issue, this page will help you find current, up-to-date answers and solutions too.
I require immediate assistance from a Tumblr representative to address the issues resulting from the confusing "primary/secondary" blog setup. Simply receiving an email instructing me to change the URL is insufficient; I need to comprehend the consequences. If I delete the primary account, will the secondary blog be removed, or will it become the primary blog as intended? Clarification on these matters is essential.

I am logged into my Tumblr account on my laptop (Mac using Safari) and have noticed an issue. The "Talk to Tumblr" option keeps popping up and the screen appears blurry. Although I can scroll through posts, I cannot click on anything other than the "Talk to Tumblr" option. Strangely, everything is working fine on the mobile app. Could you please investigate and help resolve this problem?

I am experiencing difficulties changing my password due to an old phone number associated with my account, which is used to send a verification code via SMS. Since I no longer have access to that number, I am unable to receive the code necessary to reset my password. Despite sending numerous emails regarding this matter, I have not received a response or had my problem resolved. I have provided all the information requested by Tumblr support, but the issue remains unresolved.

There is a photo of me on the website StrongAnglesTumblr.com that I did not authorize. I want the photo of me in a pink sports bra and black tights removed immediately. It is the first photo shown when my name, Stacey Flores, is searched. If this is not done promptly, I will have to take legal action. You can reach me at [redacted] or email me at [redacted] Please get in touch with me as soon as possible.

I am seeking to have my Tumblr account unsuspended due to a violation of their Terms of Service for having too many "used" blogs. I explained in response to their email that the excess blogs were for previewing different themes. However, I faced repeated "login exceeded" messages while trying to resolve the issue. I contacted Tumblr to lift the login restrictions so I could release the URLs promptly, beginning on Thursday, 5/9/18. Despite dealing with ongoing login issues, I managed to delete the excess blogs until I needed to take care of offline matters. Throughout Friday and the weekend, I encountered login problems while trying to delete blogs. I informed Tumblr of each obstacle, including the final blog that contained personal content, which I deleted on Sunday night. Following their instructions to notify them once the excess blogs were removed, I requested my access be restored. Despite multiple email attempts, I only received automated responses acknowledging my messages. To address this, I would like my blog access to be reinstated promptly. My last communication was three days ago on 5/12, and there has been no update since then. Despite trying various methods, including contacting Tumblr through the blog, I have not received any personal support or updates regarding my issue.

My account was suspended for having too many side blogs linked to it. I promptly deleted the extra blogs as instructed and informed support once completed. Even though I encountered login errors due to the high number of blogs, I managed to delete all except two attached to the account. I also removed a personal writing account. I only had writing prompts, a resource blog, and the main blog left. Despite notifying them by the 15th to 17th of May that I had complied with their request, I have not received any update. All my emails have gone unanswered, and my main blog access has not been restored. I find it unfair that I acted promptly yet am kept in the dark regarding the restoration of my access.

My name is India. Recently, my private photos have been posted without my approval on Tumblr by the user denden454 and also on Crosss0515. These pictures were saved on my phone, which was stolen a few months back and never recovered. I am deeply troubled by this violation of privacy and feel emotionally distressed. The images were intended for my husband's eyes only. As a soon-to-be parent, having these pictures circulating online is distressing, and I fear the impact it could have on my child in the future. The theft of my phone led to identity theft issues like fraudulent credit card usage and misuse of personal information. Despite efforts by my attorney, this issue remains unresolved. I urge for the immediate removal of these images for the sake of my reputation and my family's well-being. Your prompt assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

This morning, I discovered that both my fanfic-imagines and incorrectyjquotes blogs have been unexpectedly terminated. I am confused and unsure why this has happened. In June, I set up the fanfic-imagines blog to archive my favorite fanfictions, simply reblogging and liking content. It was meant to be separate from my main account due to its busyness. The termination has left me puzzled. The incorrectyjquotes blog, which I managed for two years, has also been taken down. This has deeply saddened me as I did not receive any warnings and believe I did not breach any of Tumblr's policies. Today, I have sent multiple emails to Tumblr without any response. Messages were sent from the terminated blogs' email addresses but I did not even receive a confirmation of my requests. Frustrated, I am now reaching out again, this time from my primary blog's email address. I am eager to have my blogs reinstated and would greatly appreciate any assistance with this issue.

I have reported this issue multiple times since it occurred. While I understand that this is a busy company, I am seeking answers and a possible resolution to this matter. On the 27th of May [redacted], my blog was initially terminated, and now it is the 10th of June, marking two weeks since I first notified the company. The problem started when a pop-up message appeared prompting me to agree to the new terms and conditions, which I did. However, after that, my posts stopped showing up, and nothing would load. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Upon attempting to log in again, it stated that my password was incorrect. I then proceeded to reset my password and tried to log in once more, only to discover that my blog had been terminated.

Hello Tumblr Support Team, I've encountered issues with my recent posts not appearing in search results or under specific hashtags apart from on my own blog. Despite posting earlier than others under the same hashtag, my posts don't show up. I've ensured my account visibility settings are correct. I've reached out multiple times without a response. Could you please look into this matter promptly? I'm unsure if I need to update or reinstall the app. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I recently installed the app on June 28. Today, I noticed there was 8.6mb of website data stored on my Safari app and I am concerned about the websites listed, as I am unsure if they are related to the Tumblr app download or if there may be unauthorized access to my iPhone. The websites in question are: tumblr.com akamaized.net goog-analytics.com cedeis.fastlylb.net oath.com gstatic.com marudeering.com umblr.com switchboys.com scorecardresearch.com optimicdn.com licdn.cm 1e100cdn.net fonts.googleapis.com trafficmanager.net bit.ly I did not visit all of these websites, and I am unsure if they are connected to the Tumblr app. Any assistance in clarifying this would be greatly appreciated.

My Tumblr account, flagfighter, was compromised at the end of November [redacted]. The hacker not only deleted the account but also took over the URL. A post containing personal information, including a picture of me and my real name, was shared. Although the post has been removed, I have not regained access to my account. The current header on the account defames me by calling me a "pedophile." Despite reaching out to Tumblr multiple times, my pleas seem to have gone unanswered. The individuals responsible for this breach have also been harassing me on platforms like Twitter. Reclaiming my account is crucial to restoring my peace of mind.

I am curious about the process of disabling old URLs. I stumbled upon a blog with a URL I like, but their last activity was in [redacted]. I wonder if the person is using a different main blog now and previously had that URL, or if it is being saved for a sideblog. Are sideblog URLs kept active even without recent content? I've noticed that some URLs become available after a period of account inactivity, but there are others that have remained unused for over five years and are still in use. I apologize if these questions seem trivial, but I am interested in understanding how URLs are managed, as there are some I monitor for availability without success. Specifically, I have been monitoring the availability of the URLs 'nimrod' and 'darklands'. Thank you for your assistance, and I appreciate any clarification on this matter.

I am not quite sure what happened, but I rarely use my Tumblr account for anything besides occasional browsing. Recently, I encountered a message saying there was suspicious activity on my account when I tried to open a link. Despite following the recovery steps sent via email, each time I click the link, I am redirected to the same suspicious activity page. I wanted to start using Tumblr more frequently and hope to retain my username instead of creating a new one, although the suspicious activity page doesn't allow me to proceed without clearing cookies, which seems odd. Can someone please help me break out of this loop and successfully recover my account linked with the email "[redacted]"?

Every time I attempt to log in to Tumblr, I receive the same response indicating suspicious activity on my account. They emailed me requesting a password reset due to potential compromise of my username, password, or HTML themes. Even though they have safeguarded my account, I am required to reset my password for security purposes. The process should be quick, and I appreciate their efforts to keep my account safe. - Tumblr

I had no previous interaction with this individual on Tumblr. However, the initial message they sent me was harassing. Although the term they used is usually meant playfully, the conversation turned hostile when they accused me of being "homophobic" and "transphobic" for misgendering them, even though I was not aware of their identity at the time. Now, they have involved others and have even posted about me online. I am genuinely concerned for my safety, especially considering their large following. Their username is @dykeanthropy. I am feeling overwhelmed and don't know how to handle this situation. I do have screenshots of the messages exchanged, including those from the person who insulted me and the one they directed at me.
