I am seeking confirmation for a refund request made to Phillip at Holiday Lettings on 1/9/20 regarding a £[redacted] deduction from my account. The charge was applied due to a booking cancellation made last year. The booking details are as follows: BR[redacted]4 - James, Village cottage, Ravenstonedale, Fri, Jul 05 → Sun, Jul 07, [redacted]. I had informed James about the cancellation on 27/6/19 due to my husband's critical condition requiring major heart surgery. This £[redacted] deduction seems unjust under such circumstances, as it was beyond my control (force majeure). I kindly request prompt confirmation of the refund for this charge.

We encountered issues adding our event to TripAdvisor. Our event venue, The Fort Worth Club, established for over [redacted] years in Fort Worth, faces recognition problems. We rent their ballroom as they are an established event and venue provider. Despite our peers effortlessly listing their shows at a hotel/event venue on TripAdvisor, our attempts were denied. The suggested alternative, VIATOR, lacks categories suitable for our Mentalist/Magic show under Entertainment. Regrettably, options like plays or theaters are also absent. How can we successfully list our event on TripAdvisor to accommodate our eager audience's reviews? Our current temporary listing on TripAdvisor prevents us from progressing with receiving feedback. I booked a hotel in Bonita Springs through TripAdvisor for my girlfriend and me. When she arrived to check in, they claimed I didn't have a reservation, even though I had called earlier and was assured everything was in order. After showing them an email, they found my booking, but the room was already occupied. They provided a different room, but I was charged twice – once for the original room and again for the new one. Due to the closure of our business since March and the ongoing border closures enforced by our government, we are unable to accommodate reservation requests at this time. Our island, Gingebread Hill, remains Covid19-free with only a total of 11 reported cases. I am contacting you regarding a declined review of my recent experience at a venue during my travels. I found the staff to be rude, and the lack of appropriate signage by the owner was concerning. It is disheartening that my genuine feedback is not being shared. Every individual should have the right to express their honest opinion without censorship. It feels as though only selective reviews are being chosen to display a preferred outcome. Transparency and authenticity are vital, especially in a time of controversy like Covid-19. Constructive criticism should be welcomed by businesses to improve and grow. I value Trip Advisor for genuine experiences. Censoring negative feedback does a disservice to both customers and business owners. I believe my review should be visible for the owner's benefit. Discovering that reviews may be manipulated is disappointing. A platform like Trip Advisor should disclose any bias in reviews to maintain trust. It is essential to uphold freedom of speech and provide an accurate representation of customers' opinions. Thank you for revealing these practices, but I am disappointed and will reconsider using Trip Advisor for future travels.

Dear Trip Advisor, I have a question regarding our hotel, Sir Stamford at Circular Quay in Sydney, and how it ranks. I lead the HOD meetings for the hotel group and would like to know more about the ranking system. Despite receiving positive reviews and maintaining a good rating, we seem to be stuck at #19 or #20 in Sydney. We have 36 positive 5-star reviews, one 4-star review, and one negative review that we requested to be removed after compensating the guest. We provide 5-star service in our area, but we can't seem to move up the rankings. I monitor other hotels daily but see no changes. Can you assist us in improving our position? Our KPIs are connected to this, and our owners expect results. We are working hard, but our ranking remains stagnant. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, David R. I wanted to share that we got an email verifying our booking at Chales dos Cajueiros in Tamandare, Pernambuco, Brasil (Booking BR[redacted]8). Following that, we received an email from the Trust and Safety Team with two phone numbers we needed to contact, or they would cancel our reservation. We tried calling but were unable to reach anyone after a 30-minute wait. As we are calling long-distance, we are looking for an alternative way to confirm our booking. I had to cancel my February Grand Cayman booking on TripAdvisor due to the Covid restrictions in Cayman. Visiting was impossible as visitors need to isolate for 2 weeks, and someone even got sentenced to jail for breaking the rules. When I canceled, I understood that the $[redacted] wouldn't be refunded but hoped to use it for a [redacted] rental. However, the owner revealed they don't receive the deposits. I can't find a way to reach TripAdvisor to discuss the unique circumstances of my cancellation. Their page only mentions contacting the owner to dispute refunds, which I already did without success. It's not just a Covid-related cancellation; it's due to the impossibility of visiting the booked country.

I am currently in a dispute with the owner of the property I intended to stay in at The Regency Apartment in Playa Blanca, with booking number: BR[redacted]8. Initially, I requested to modify my booking to February 8-15, [redacted], and the owner agreed. Consequently, I rearranged my flight and another accommodation for the following week, resulting in additional expenses. However, the owner has ceased communication via the platform and is now insisting on corresponding through Gmail. I have been met with resistance when I declined to cancel my booking through TripAdvisor as requested and now the owner is refusing to amend the booking or provide me with the revised details. This behavior goes against the procedures outlined on the site. Despite their previous assurance that a cancellation wouldn't be necessary, they are now pressuring me to cancel, incurring charges, which is unfair considering the circumstances surrounding my need to reschedule due to coronavirus restrictions affecting my travel plans.

I am frustrated with TripAdvisor for falsely advertising hotels as pet-friendly when they are not. This misrepresentation needs to be addressed. There should be more diligence in verifying this information. Today, I searched for pet-friendly hotels in South Bay, Los Angeles County, and Doubletree in Torrance came up. However, when I called, they informed me they do not allow pets, only service dogs. This raises the question - aren't all hotels required by law to allow service dogs anyway? This situation feels very misleading and dishonest on the part of TripAdvisor.

I sought assistance from Trip Advisor for a tour and provided my credit card information. Unfortunately, the representative charged over $[redacted].00 without my consent. I have been on hold with Trip Advisor for about an hour trying to resolve this issue, but with no success. It is very frustrating to be taken advantage of and then have to wait so long to speak to someone about it. I run a small transport business and recently received negative feedback from a lady who requested a quote but never booked with me. Despite no booking being made, she left a damaging review claiming I canceled on her last minute for a higher-paying job, leaving her stranded at the airport. This is untrue, and I want to clarify that I never accepted her booking. I responded politely to all her emails and even recommended taxis at the airport for her short trip. Her review unfairly tarnishes my business's reputation, and it was disappointing to see her false claims online.

I canceled my business listing on July 21, [redacted], providing ample notice to avoid being charged for [redacted]. I noticed a charge of [redacted] euros on my credit card for the business listing for the coming year. This charge needs to be refunded promptly. Due to my age (78) and the impact of the Covid-19 virus, I had already made the decision to close my business by the end of the year. The closure was finalized with the tax office at the end of the Third Quarter. I made a reservation for a New Orleans Sightseeing City Tour at 4 PM on April 27 for two people, and I paid $90 via PayPal using credit card ending in ---[redacted]. We were supposed to be picked up at the New Orleans Marriott by the French Quarter and arrived there at 3:40 PM on the 27th. Despite waiting until 4:30, we were unable to reach the 4 PM driver. We tried contacting the tour company but were only able to reach the driver from the 9:00 AM tour. None of our calls to the main phone of the tour company were answered. We tried contacting the customer service line but were advised to resolve this issue online. Unfortunately, my booking with BR[redacted]8 cannot proceed due to Spain being on the UK's amber list, which prohibits leisure travel. We were reassured during booking that it was safe to proceed despite COVID-19, and we paid early at the owner's request to assist during the pandemic. Payment was made through TripAdvisor for added security against COVID-19-related cancellations, even though it incurred additional fees. Regrettably, the host is withholding the full amount (minus the deposit) because I canceled after the UK travel ban. I seek guidance on how to obtain a refund of £[redacted], as I am being kept from a service I cannot utilize due to the canceled wedding.
