The issue in GetHuman-bobeev's own words
We purchased a Trane model *WCC********A in May ****. The condenser blower motor went out now almost * weeks ago. The part is covered under the “base warranty” for * years according to warranty department reps at Trane. Our heat pump has not worked for coming on * full weeks now. It is causing my wife health issues, as here in central VA. Temperatures have been in the high **s much of these days. Trane tells me the unit got registered as a commercial unit and therefore only has a one year warranty. I’ve explained in the phone and offered every proof possible that the unit was installed at my home from day one. But they have not (will not?) change the registration in their system so the part is covered under a warranty claim. The representatives (I’ve talked to at least * different people) are pleasant and such but absolutely no resolution. They’ve even emailed me a copy of the generic base warranty but won’t change the status on my particular unit. I’ve been promised a call back from a Supervisor on *-* occasions, with no call back. I’ve been told the process is in “escalation review” for a decision. I’ve had my local technician order the part from the local Trane Dealer but again their computer shows the unit as “warranty expired”. Trane has given me ultimately nothing but the run around on a part that clearly should be under warranty. The part is over $***. Trane has offered no real help but just keep putting me off time after time. I have a customer ID * in their product registration department: ******. Clearly frustrated and extremely dissatisfied with Trane. All we want is the part covered as outlined in the base warranty.
