Abusive Use of My Email Address Dear Sir or Madam, For months, I have been receiving emails from you thanking me for 'connecting my device,' which I have not done as I do not know you and do not have any device from you. It appears that my email address is being misused ('phishing') here. Please ensure that my email address is deleted from your database and that any future emails of this nature cease. Kindly confirm this to me by analogue means by January 15, [redacted]; otherwise, I expressly reserve the right for legal evaluation. I received a TomTom XL IQR v2 as a gift for my 50th birthday from my late father. Even though I'm now 58, it's been a while since I could update the device. I often get emails like this from TomTom: "Your current SatNav is incompatible with TomTom's latest map update." They mention that my device will still work, but I won't be able to purchase further map updates. It's frustrating to feel pressured into buying a new device when the one I have is functioning fine. I don't see the point in discarding something that still works just to get the latest version. Why does TomTom expect customers to replace a product they once endorsed? Why won't they continue to support it?

I've been attempting to update my device for two months now, but I keep receiving the same message repeatedly: "Our servers are currently very busy. Click Retry a few times until you are connected. If that doesn't work, close MyDrive Connect and reopen it." I have tried various methods, but I cannot seem to get it to update. I am using the same laptop and security program, and nothing has changed on my end. My maps are now extremely outdated. Your immediate assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to replace my old "GO [redacted] TM-GPS. Unfortunately, you no longer support this unit, but it has served me well. I'm looking for a replacement with similar features. A 6 or 7-inch screen would be ideal but not required. I am considering the "VIA [redacted] World Traveler," but I'm open to other suggestions. Following my conversation with customer services, I was assured a call back within an hour, but days have passed with no response. Reference number [redacted]38. The product model is 4FL50 with serial number QR2235F01255. I have concerns about the lifetime map offer. I was never informed during the purchase from Halfords that I would need a computer to upload maps or that the lifetime maps require updates every two years. While Halfords now claims a computer is not necessary, this was not made clear to me at the time of purchase, and they refuse to update the maps for me. Additionally, they are suggesting I pay for an update, which seems unfair since I've already paid for this service. I urge you to rectify this situation and provide the map update without extra charges.

In early November, I reached out to TomTom for help updating my Go [redacted]. They rerouted me to GPSExpert UK Ltd, who charged me £[redacted].99. Unfortunately, their update made my TomTom worse and unintentionally erased years of Family History from my laptop. On 13th November, I called them, and they assured me a £40.00 refund as I expressed my dissatisfaction. Despite multiple follow-up calls, I am still waiting for the refund. My TomTom's functionality has degraded significantly; it now takes over 10 minutes to locate anything and doesn't recognize postcodes well. This is disappointing as I used to love how my TomTom performed. I am seeking assistance - whether it be a repair, replacement, or part exchange. The link provided does not work and I received an error message stating the page was not found. I have been diligently researching my issue for the past two days without success. I had a [redacted] T Spirit Yaris with an onboard sat nav S410, which was replaced with a '13 plate Yaris lacking a sat nav. The dealer provided me with a TomTom G 60, seemingly new but missing paperwork. My XP computer, which previously ran TomTom Home, is now facing connectivity issues with the new device. Despite downloading MyDrive Connect, the TomTom screen indicates no device is connected. When using a laptop with a different operating system, I managed to connect the sat nav successfully. However, I am missing maps in My Content, which may be why the device is not functioning properly. I have tried to validate the device online but encountered difficulties obtaining a validation code. The serial number is VC2434K00371. I would greatly appreciate any help or advice in resolving this matter.

I believe the issue originated from TomTom as we sought online support for our inaccessible satnav. The support team indicated a PC issue and offered to address it remotely. Lacking familiarity with technology, we granted them access. They identified a trojan horse virus and suggested their security network for coverage over two years for £[redacted]. The team later requested re-access, inquiring about our online banking and shopping habits, and erroneously asked for our bank details. They instructed us not to disclose the purpose of the transaction to the bank, prompting us to be suspicious and request immediate cancellation of the security cover. Despite our refusal, they persisted in accessing the PC, pushing for a refund while making dubious inquiries. An urgent termination of the connection was necessary, and we are concerned about the data accessed. Action has been taken by informing the bank and involving the fraud squad to address the unauthorized withdrawal attempts and money transfer efforts.

I am a TomTom customer with the Via 52 navigation device and radar camera updates for Europe until 23.07.[redacted]. Despite having a long-term service plan, on March 2, [redacted], I received an email stating that the radar camera updates would continue for €2.99 per month. I did not request this monthly update as I did not need it. TomTom should not have altered the 1.5-year contract I paid for in full in January [redacted]. This charge appeared on my recent credit card statement, and I noticed the monthly update listed under Orders in my TomTom account - even though I never ordered it. I have canceled it in the system. Hello, I am frustrated with the lack of service I am receiving for my TomTom Via [redacted] M (Serial NO starts N1). I am disappointed by the inability to reach service personnel via email. The automated support service appears to be unhelpful, leading customers in circles for hours without resolving issues. The phone numbers found online have been useless. I purchased my TomTom less than four years ago from Good Guys in NSW, Australia, with the promise of "Free Lifetime Maps" for Australia and New Zealand. Despite updating the maps three times previously, I have been unable to update them for the past year. It seems unfair to now require a $80 payment for updated maps that were supposed to be free as stated on the box. I expect to receive the free updates as initially advertised to me in the store at the time of purchase. I have noticed that the Australian Fair Trading Commission has addressed similar concerns in the past without resolution. I am eagerly awaiting my order! My order (#BA20D30A3527N5463X) was placed on April 29, [redacted]. I attempted to track it using the information provided. The last update indicated that my order had cleared in Los Angeles, California, on May 6, [redacted]. I reside in Michigan, USA, and believe it should not take 8 days for an order to reach me from California. Payment was promptly deducted when the order was placed. Can you please investigate the delay and inform me of the expected delivery date via email? I am dissatisfied with the shipping process and tracking guidelines provided.

Dear Sirs and Madams, I purchased a new TomTom Go Essential 6-inch GPS two weeks ago and successfully updated the EU map via USB on my PC. However, I am encountering an issue with activating the traffic service. When I try to activate it, I receive an error message stating "Service not available" and "We have problems accessing TomTom services." Unfortunately, I have been unable to contact TomTom for assistance. Could you please provide a service phone number for the required support? I have reached out to TomTom six times regarding the same issue - four times via email and twice through chat - but have not received a relevant response to my question. My inquiry is about the future updates for TomTom's Speed Camera Warning App specifically for speed cameras in Germany. I am not interested in deactivating the app in Germany and simply want to know if updates for Germany's speed cameras will continue to be available in the future. Could someone please address my question directly without providing unrelated information?

I am trying to change my password for my TomTom account, but every time I receive a form from TomTom Transatlantic to do so, it doesn't seem to work. The form does not register my input. The first suggestion I received is to create a strong password via Safari. Is that mandatory? Previously, my self-created password worked well until I started forgetting it or trying to change it. Additionally, my TomTom account doesn't accept the suggested strong password and claims it's incorrect for my email address. What should I do? The Transatlantic form is not working, and now I can't access my account to update it. What do you suggest? I own a TomTom Start 52 system. Is that still okay? My serial number is ES6137B00020 (0).

Since March of this year (the month following the expiration of the annual contract for LIVE services), I have been charged a monthly amount of €4.95 for the provision of unspecified "services" that I did not request. Even if these services were related to LIVE services, they are not active. This situation is very irritating to me. When I contacted the call center for explanations, their response was extremely evasive. As a result of this, I have decided to cancel my credit card in the coming days and switch to another provider. You have lost a customer. If I do not receive a response within two days, by Thursday the 25th, I will escalate the issue to a prominent consumer association. On June 4, [redacted], I made a payment of £28.45 to TomTom for a one-year subscription for Speed Camera Updates using my Barclaycard. Unfortunately, on July 4th, they charged me an additional £2.99 for the same service without my consent. When I noticed this, I immediately canceled the monthly subscription on my TomTom account, intending to keep the yearly subscription, but they deactivated all my subscriptions. I am seeking to have my one-year subscription reinstated and to receive a refund of the £2.99 overcharge. Contacting TomTom has proven challenging as they do not provide an email, their chat function is unavailable, and they are not answering phone calls. I appreciate any help in resolving this issue. On February 1, [redacted], I placed an order for a Tomtom Go Premium X navigation system with you under order number [redacted]95. I later cancelled the order but have not yet received a cancellation confirmation. A delivery person came with the package, but I did not accept it and informed them that the order had been cancelled. The delivery person left with the package. I have already discussed this situation twice with Klarna, but they are trying to charge me for the order again. I urgently request a prompt review of my order and cancellation within 1 or 2 days.
