Hello Tinder Team, I'm Hannah from Leicester, and I recently joined Tinder. Since starting conversations with a few people yesterday, unusual things have been happening. Messages are getting mixed up, going to the wrong profiles, photos are switching unexpectedly, and then changing back. Initially, I suspected one person might be faking, so I unmatched them. However, the issue reoccurred this evening while chatting with two other guys. They appeared genuine and were as surprised as I was about the mix-up. I have taken screenshots of these incidents as evidence. I am concerned about this breach of privacy and hope for a resolution soon. I possess the screenshots but not certain about how to share them here for your review. Please provide an update on this matter so I can decide how to proceed with my account.

I believe I was banned from Tinder approximately a week ago right after purchasing their premium service, and I am unsure of the reason behind it. I have always been respectful on the app and have never had any issues until I upgraded to premium. I have been using the app for about 9 months now without any problems until this ban. I would like to request an appeal for my banned account and understand the cause to avoid repeating the mistake. I enjoyed the service as it allowed me to connect with new people, and I was considering a long-term subscription prior to this incident. Dear Tinder, I recently found that my Tinder account has been suspended without any explanation. After carefully reviewing the terms and privacy policies, I am confident that I have abided by all guidelines. My intention in using this platform was solely to connect with new people in a respectful manner. I kindly request for my account to be reinstated promptly so I can continue using the application. Upon returning to Tinder after a hiatus, I was surprised to discover that my account had been blocked without any explanation. Consequently, I created a new account with my updated phone number and purchased Tinder Plus and Gold subscriptions, yet I have not received any likes despite utilizing boost features. I suspect my account may be "shadow banned" due to similarities in my photos, full name, and email address. I am seeking assistance to reinstate my account, receive a refund if applicable, or resolve the issue to use Tinder as intended. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Good morning, I am Hailey, a university student in California who has been using Tinder successfully for over a year. I recently logged in after a period of inactivity to make some harmless changes and send a couple of messages. However, to my surprise, I found myself logged out this morning and upon attempting to sign back in, I received a ban message for allegedly violating community guidelines. I recently tried using my Tinder app and was informed that my account was banned. I am unsure of the reason behind this, as I carefully reviewed the guidelines and did not find any violations. The last activity I remember was adding a funny picture from my childhood, which I believe might have triggered the ban. Tinder has been a valuable platform for me, especially as a college student, helping me connect with others. I have had success in relationships through this app, and after a recent breakup, I was looking forward to meeting new people. Losing access to my account is very distressing. I recently noticed that all the people I was actively talking to suddenly stopped responding to me. At first, I thought I might be overthinking it, but then I considered how unlikely it was that everyone would stop responding at the same time. Even when I messaged them again, I got no response. Strangely, I could still match and message new people. One person even reached out to me on Instagram, mentioning that our conversation on the app no longer showed up for them. However, I could still see it on my phone. I'm unsure why this is happening. Apologies for any confusion in my explanation!

Despite being of legal age and familiar with Tinder guidelines, I'm unable to log in due to age restrictions. My previous account and attempts to create a new one have been unsuccessful. It seems the issue arose when my sibling was using my account. I simply want to regain access to my profile. I've exhausted all options and even reinstalled the app, but I can't get past the age restrictions blocking me from logging in.

I recently realized that my account has been banned, even though I haven't logged in for nearly 6 months. My account wasn't even linked to a phone number when I last used it. I can't think of any reason why I would be banned, as I believe I followed all the terms of service. The only related issue I can think of is that I have another account with a different phone number, but that is because I live in two countries and have a number in each. As a result, I switch my phone numbers when I move between locations, making it impossible to use one number for both accounts. My email for the account in question is [redacted]

Is there any way I can appeal the ban? I sincerely apologize. It was not my intention to do anything wrong. Do you know the duration of the ban? I'm sorry for all the questions. Is the ban permanent, meaning I can never have another Tinder account forever? After reviewing the rules and violations, I believe I got banned for sharing a link about Race for Life. I recently joined for my grandparents and thought it would be a meaningful bio, not for advertising. I apologize for any misunderstanding. I didn’t mean to deceive anyone. Tinder has been a source of support for me lately. I'm genuinely sorry for any inconvenience caused.

I was banned approximately 4 months ago for having my age set incorrectly on my Tinder profile. I initially set it to 28, as it was automatically populated from my Facebook, where I had falsely entered my age when I was underage. I understand now that this was my mistake and assure you it won't happen again. I sincerely apologize for any confusion caused and would like to request the reinstatement of my account. I want to emphasize that I did not engage in any harassing, profane, or inappropriate behavior. I had a Gold subscription, of which about 3 months were forfeited due to the ban. I believe this loss was a sufficient penalty, and I am willing to resubscribe if my account is reinstated. Thank you for considering my appeal.

Hello, I recently turned eighteen a couple of months ago, and while creating my Tinder account, I mistakenly entered the wrong birthdate that now indicates I am not yet eighteen. This error prevents me from logging in or correcting the date. Consequently, I am locked out of my account for approximately [redacted] days. As this situation is not ideal, I wish to delete my account. However, the inability to log in poses a challenge in deleting it. I recently canceled my account on March 17, [redacted], associated with the phone number +52 1 [redacted]. Before canceling, I opted to try the gold membership in Mexico for one month at a cost of [redacted] pesos. However, more than 20 days after canceling, I noticed a charge for another month. I did not authorize monthly automatic charges, especially considering I no longer have an account. Please refund the recent charge promptly.

I am having difficulties subscribing to Tinder Gold using multiple active cards. Upon clicking 'submit,' a message appears stating, "Your authentication could not be submitted because of a system error." I am unsure what CSR stands for. I have attempted this several times with the same result, all information is accurate. I contacted my bank, and they have no record of my purchase attempts. All other online transactions with these cards have been successful, as confirmed by the bank. As per advice, I deleted my previous Tinder account and app from my iPhone 5s. I am now using a MacBook Pro running MacOS Sierra version 10.12.4. The issue seems to persist only with Tinder. I have not faced any bans or problems before. I received a message saying I cannot purchase via the app. Can someone please assist in resolving this matter?

I have been struggling to find matches on Tinder. I recently learned about Elo scores and shadowbans, which made me realize that I have reset my account multiple times for various reasons like changing my display name or due to issues like forgetting passwords or changing phones. I am concerned about how long a shadowban lasts and when I will have a fair opportunity to use Tinder without being penalized. If the system doesn't want me to keep resetting, I understand now, but I'm worried about being shadowbanned indefinitely. I just want to have a chance to match with someone on Tinder without this being an issue.
