I am writing to share my concern about the radar not detecting snowfall accurately in my area. Despite receiving moderate snowfall at the rate of about an inch per hour for several hours, The Weather Channel's radar does not show any precipitation, predicting less than an inch for much later. This discrepancy occurs frequently, leading to inaccurate forecasts. I reside 5 miles south of the Canadian border in Chesaw, Washington [redacted]. I hope this feedback helps improve the radar sensitivity to better predict moderate to heavy precipitation for more accurate forecasts in the future. Thank you for your service and for considering this feedback.

It's frustrating to see the false narrative being pushed here. The channel has changed, aligning with global elites on climate change. A large group of scientists disputes global warming. It's concerning to see familiar faces associated with questionable agendas. The tone and choices of presenters like "Leona" are disappointing. The credibility has plummeted. The references to past statements by Al Gore and President Obama are worth considering. It's disheartening to witness this shift in content and alignment with certain narratives. The trust in this channel is fading.

I am reaching out to address my concerns regarding the format of your "countdowns" and documentaries on significant weather events. In the past, the documentaries were conducted professionally, typically featuring a solitary narrator sharing the story with occasional expert interviews in a more serious tone. However, I have noticed a shift in the format to brief footage followed by studio commentators in a seemingly sarcastic manner that continues throughout the program. This reality show-style presentation is disheartening for a weather enthusiast like myself. I used to anticipate your productions, but now I find myself disenchanted. I hope to see a shift towards a more professional and insightful approach in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The map display of bad weather conditions is overcrowded with city tags, making it difficult to see the radar activity. It is essential to remove the tags to allow for a clearer view of the weather map. During recent bad weather in Indiana, the map was particularly cluttered with city tags, obscuring the critical information about the weather warning areas. The tags overlap with the areas impacted by severe weather, hindering the visibility of crucial details. Streamlining the map display by eliminating unnecessary tags would greatly improve the user experience during weather events.

After the recent malware incident on The Weather Channel's website, I seem to have lost access to my local weather report on the 8's. I am a Mediacom subscriber with a cable connection. I am wondering if The Weather Channel will rectify this issue and restore my local on the 8's feature. Is there a way for me to input my zip code, [redacted], either on The Weather Channel's website or on Mediacom? My name is Rande L., and I reside at [redacted] E. Linton Ave. Apt 8, Viroqua, Wisconsin, [redacted]. You can reach me at [redacted] or via email at [redacted] Kindly provide guidance on how I can regain access to my local weather information. Thank you for your help. Rande

May 19, [redacted] Hello and attention to the owners of the weather channel, Please stop the practice of having pregnant weather presenters. It is not aesthetically pleasing and can be dangerous. It is uncomfortable to watch a pregnant presenter in tight clothing showcasing her baby bump. It lacks class and it's important to dress appropriately for the weather report. Thankfully, they are not showing bare midriffs, but there are concerns about potential accidents on live TV. Additionally, please use proper abbreviations when mentioning locations like St. John's, Newfoundland. It should be "NFLD," not "LD." Also, consider using the correct format for temperature readings like +6°C or -6°C. It seems someone is unnecessarily changing the writing protocols, perhaps seeking recognition for themselves. This change is unnecessary and has likely not gone unnoticed by viewers. I'm sure many viewers have expressed similar complaints. Thank you, Misty

Throughout the day, I've noticed that the local weather scrolling at the bottom of the TV screen is jumbled and mixed with weather from other cities in the U.S. I've checked back multiple times, but as of 11:38 A.M., the issue remains unresolved. The chaotic display is giving me a headache, forcing me to switch it off. For a company utilizing advanced technology round the clock, this technical glitch is unacceptable. Shouldn't The Weather Channel be monitoring the scrolling to ensure accurate broadcasting? Thankfully, I can turn to my laptop to check today's weather instead.

I am concerned about the accuracy of the weather forecasts for south west Florida. Depending on this information for work purposes is challenging when the forecast constantly changes throughout the day. The initial predictions for rain percentages fluctuate dramatically, making planning difficult. It seems like your company struggles to interpret radar information accurately, resulting in unreliable future projections. I hope improvements can be made for more reliable and consistent weather forecasting in the future.

I have noticed that Weather.com has been inaccurate about 95 percent of the time when predicting the weather. It is frustrating when important plans are disrupted due to unreliable forecasts. For instance, recently, my daughter needed to take a crucial 3-hour blood test on Tuesday, August 13, [redacted], at noon in Yardley, PA. We trusted the forecast, which predicted severe thunderstorms and flash flooding. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the test, but surprisingly, there was no rain, thunder, lightning, or flooding all day. This kind of situation happens frequently, and it's disappointing. Weather.com should consider improving their forecasting accuracy or re-evaluating their business model. It's vital that they conduct thorough research and analysis to provide more dependable weather predictions.

I live in Ocala, Florida, known as the lightning capital of the world. I've noticed that the radar updates on the Weather Channel are no longer as frequent, and we rarely see the radar on the eights. Living in an area prone to thunderstorms, it is essential for us to have access to the radar consistently. I've spoken to others who share the same concerns, and we all agree that having the local radar on the eights is crucial. If this is not resolved, many of us will be looking for an alternative weather channel that meets our needs. I hope to see improvements in the radar frequency soon to keep us informed about the approaching thunderstorms. It's disappointing to consider switching from a channel I've followed for a long time, but without regular radar updates, it's becoming necessary for us here in Florida.

I am deeply concerned by The Weather Channel's portrayal of children being left in cars. The channel has talked about these incidents like they are a common occurrence, almost normalizing the tragedy. It is far from just a mistake; it can be intentional harm or even homicide. We need to address the seriousness of this issue and the severe consequences that should follow. By not highlighting the severity of this crime, it might inadvertently encourage individuals with ill intentions towards children. The channel should rethink how they present these cases to the public and ensure that the gravity of the situation is understood. As a viewer, I have decided to steer clear of constantly watching the channel and will rely on other weather sources instead.

Dorian Expanding Winfield raises an important point that Stephanie missed! The information provided on the StormGeo website explains the misconception surrounding hurricane categories and their correlation with the level of danger they pose. Many people believe that a hurricane's storm surge is solely determined by its Saffir-Simpson category, but this is not entirely accurate. Storm surge is influenced by various factors, with the size of the hurricane's wind field playing a more significant role than its category. A larger Category 2 hurricane can produce a higher storm surge than a smaller Category 4 or 5 hurricane. It's crucial to understand that each hurricane is unique, and relying solely on the Saffir-Simpson scale to gauge storm surge can be misleading. For accurate storm preparation, consider all relevant variables beyond just the hurricane's category.

Why do you always handle hurricanes this way? It seems like you're just seeking publicity. The exaggerated scenarios cause unnecessary panic and financial strain on Florida residents. It's evident you lack understanding of the situation. Your alarmist approach leads to needless evacuations. Consider the impact on people's lives. Kindly rethink your strategies to avoid causing unnecessary fear and expense.

I used to live in Myrtle Beach and would like to provide information regarding flooding patterns in the area. The Garden City Pier area is prone to flooding, with water reaching the main street and affecting nearby condos and beach houses. North Myrtle Beach also experiences flooding, especially in the canals that can overflow during storms. While the main city limits of Myrtle Beach rarely flood, areas along the ocean and canals towards the north are at risk. I've never seen the town itself flood unless there was a significant hurricane. I believe this information could be valuable for meteorologists or officials monitoring flood-prone areas. Please reach out if you would like more details.

Re: Tropical Weather Reporting I am writing to express concern about the tropical weather reports lacking crucial information, specifically the latitude and longitude of the named tropical system. Including this data is essential for individuals like myself who enjoy tracking storm progress. During Hurricane Dorian, I had to turn to other channels to obtain this vital information as it was not provided by the Weather Channel. It is important to report all pertinent details regarding tropical systems to assist people in plotting and preparing for potential threats accurately. As a long-time hurricane tracker, I rely on precise data to plan effectively if a storm approaches. The "cone" method currently used has a significant margin of error, making it unreliable for accurate tracking. Therefore, I urge the Weather Channel to incorporate latitude and longitude in future reports as crucial information for viewers. Sincerely, D.Z.

I am saddened by the coverage of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas, particularly the footage of a woman with two dogs in deep water. She struggled, holding onto her dogs, but unfortunately lost one that disappeared from sight. The footage is distressing, with no mention of what happened to the woman and her dogs. I wish the cameraman who filmed the close-up shots would provide more context to the situation so we can understand what occurred. My heart aches for the woman and the dog she had to let go. The lack of information about their well-being is keeping me up at night. I hope someone can share more details to give closure to this heartbreaking story.

Urgent concern regarding the devastating situation on Elbow Cay, Abaco, Bahamas! I am Shannon Cady, feeling extremely frustrated as no attention has been given to the dire circumstances following Dorian's impact. Elbow Cay is in crisis, and my loved ones are directly affected. The town of Hopetown is leveled, and with no communication to Marsh Harbour, they are isolated. It is crucial to shed a light on the devastation they are facing. My plea is for media coverage to bring aid and awareness to Elbow Cay's plight. Please, report on Elbow Cay and help spread the word. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Shannon Cady

I am considering taking legal action due to receiving inaccurate weather forecasts from your service. I planted my seeds based on the information provided, which stated there would be 4 hours of rain with a 60% chance, but there was no rain at all. This inconsistency has resulted in a significant loss for me, around $6,[redacted] worth of harvest is now at risk. I plan to pursue legal action to address the false information and the financial consequences I have faced due to relying on your forecasts. Accuracy is crucial, and if there is uncertainty, it should not be presented as definitive information.

I recently checked the weather forecast for Gatlinburg, Tennessee from different services such as AccuWeather, NOAA, and the National Weather Service. Your predictions consistently show Gatlinburg as 4-5 degrees higher than the others for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I rely on your forecasts for my upcoming trip and have noticed they've been inconsistent. It's concerning that your data significantly differs from established weather sources. Do you follow national weather standards, or do you rely on a single program for predictions? The inconsistency makes it hard to trust your forecasts. It's frustrating when even the Weather Channel doesn't provide reliable local weather updates. Your credibility seems to be diminishing, and I question the accuracy of your information compared to other reputable sources. I hope this feedback leads to improvements in your forecasting accuracy.

I am experiencing an issue with receiving the incorrect local forecast on the 8's. Instead of Litchfield, CT, we are getting White Plains, NY. This has been ongoing for a week. I visited the cable company, and they advised me to contact the station owner. I am reaching out for your assistance. Optimum is our cable provider, and we rely on the Weather Channel for our livelihood. I appreciate your attention to this matter. Thank you, Margie.
